“This was the first time at this restaurant in Davie, Florida as I have been to the one in Doral, Florida. My wife and I decided to stop for lunch, we sat down and Dubraska was our waitress. She took our order, which came quickly, and the food was delicious! Everything was very good, in fact, had to take some home. Dubraska was very kind and quick with our order, and I would recommend this restaurant. So the next time you come to Franciscas’, please ask for Dubraska, and she will take care of you! “This is by far, the BEST restaurant in the Davie/Plantation area. I’ve been coming to this restaurant for over a year and all the food is so full of fresh flavors, generous portions and extremely friendly and attentive staff and management. The manager Tan always goes out of his way to accommodate every guest and makes everyone feel like a part of the family. The servers are attentive to detail, very warm and provide quality service! Best food on the menu: pineapple fried rice, red snapper, pad woo sen and of course the traditional pad Thai. The sushi is fresh, vibrant with a lot of variety and choices. The curry will have you coming back for more! You won’t regret a visit from this restaurant!”

Focus on any menu items that take advantage of the fire but be sure to specify doneness even if your server doesn't ask. Open fire means unpredictable results. Just saying. That said, to start, opt for the imported Iberico de Bellota. Get both the lomo and jamon and taste the difference between the two. To the mains, The cioppino is very good. Halibut, lobster, crab, shrimp, clams, mussels are all flash grilled before being brought together in the pot with a load of fingerling potatoes. Charred bread and a grilled lemon complete the absolutely delicious bowl. The grilling imparts a complex bitterness and unique flavor that only comes from the charred shells. Sounds bad, taste great. The bone in beef rib (think TX dino rib), solid. Braised then finished. The caramelized guava jam a great touch adding tropical fruit notes. A very well thought out dish with lots of complexity. Service is relaxed, warm and efficient. Nice wine list with Old World emphasis. Good by the glass list as well. Typical casino resort markup. Solid offering.”

Franklin checked me out with my bag of chips and he was the sweetest employee I have ever encountered at any gas station EVER! He did not have to be jolly and nice, but he was. I initially walked in a bad mood and tired, but then Franklin asked me about my day and smiled like he meant it-not because he is "supposed" to ask. He was kind and conducted his job the old fashioned way. His generosity beamed through his soul and I instantly felt better due to his spirit. We need more Franklins in this world. “It is my mom’s 65th birthday and I had plans for a custom cake to be delivered to her. Those plans were dropped by the person to bring the cake last second and I was so beyond saddened. I thought last minute to see if I could place a delivery order for another cake. The delivery service does not allow for any cake, customization, and I was aware of that policy, but thought it was worth a shot to try and contact the store to see if they would make an exception. Liz, the owner of this Carvel location and Anthony Not only listened to my panic about not being able to get this for my mom, but went out of their way to customize the cake and send me a picture of it. Since I am out of town, this was the only thing I could do that I knew my mom would love And they were able to make that happen. I cannot put into words my gratitude, because it would’ve been very simple to say it’s just policy that they can’t accommodate that. I will never buy another cake from anywhere else again, and it is people like these that make the world a little brighter. Thank you for this act of kindness , that is larger than you will ever know”

We've ordered from them both in-person and through Uber and the food is consistent.Where they fall a little short is service or maybe more flexibility in service. They dole out spicy mayo one small cup at a time even when you ask for "extra" or "a few" so, you end up having to get up and ask for more at the counter a few times.They also have some condiments they won't give you on the side or even sell you. A good example is a chili powder they use on their mushroom fries - we've asked in delivery notes and in person and even when we offer to add it to our order as an upcharge, they won't budge. They don't really give a reason either...just that they're "not allowed".I think it's something they could at least explain if they really want to enforce it but, seems like a weird little rule to hold on to that keeps me from visiting this place more often”

The breading is so flavorful and light Flakes of breading to water the taste buds. One of the very few dishes I will eat with meat and on rare occasion but so worth the experience. Not weighted down with grease or too dark which tells of the oil quality clean with the perfect temperature to cook the fish correctly. Accompanying the fish is a generous portion of flavorful curly fries with delicious flavorful and texture to leave you wanting more. Sitting outside with a great feel of breeze and open space outside a great local pub. Could easily make this place a regular stop to dine and unwind.”

The two guys on staff were kind despite the long lines and the low tip jar. I will definitely come back to eat here again if they can give that type of service on a busy night. Don't expect much, it's a tiny storefront with mostly take out and a few tables outside however they have every DQ sweet treat you are looking for.”

“I have been a fan of Chicken Kitchen since 2005 (Weston store), and to be honest I was extremely happy that one was opening near me, the Davie store is awesome. The staff is great, always smiling, management is doing a great job, place is always clean no matter what time of the day I go in, the food is always great, the chicken gets cooked and cut in front of you which is great and all of their sides are tasty. My girls love it!! I highly recommend it. They even do catering which I will take advantage of on my next party. Thank you Jorge, Cindy and Victor for always making my bowls with a smile. I love this place. Great Job Chicken Kitchen you guys get 10 Stars!!!”

This week, I tried a variety of treats and came away impressed: Strawberry Cupcake Cookie (9.5/10): This beauty boasted decadent strawberry cream cheese icing on a sugar cookie base. It was a true flavor explosion! Snickerdoodle Cookie (8/10): A classic done well. The cookie itself was perfect, but I docked a few points because the flavor profile wasn't quite as exciting as the others. Caramel Praline Cookie (6/10): This one was a bit of a miss for me. While the caramel was delicious, the overall flavor felt a bit too nutty. Confetti Milkshake (8.2/10): A fun and refreshing drink! “This is where we had our first date 5 years ago so Kristoff’s has special meaning to us. When entering, the “kafe” appears ordinary. But it’s really quite extraordinary. A coffee shop for sure, the food and service are superior to any place in the area. We think it has the best breakfasts and lunches in Davie. We don’t come here enough! (Closed for dinner.)Parking: There’s plenty of parking. Doesn’t need so much discussion.”

“One of the best steakhouses I have had the pleasure of dining in. Went for a group dinner on a Tuesday night and we left with no complaints and full bellies.For appetizers we got the Council Oak Bacon, Calamari, & Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes (real good). For drinks I had a Lemon Drop, and Lychee Martini and my hubby got two Old Fashions. For our dinners my husband and I got the New York Strip and Filet Mignon with Asparagus, Loaded Baked Potato, Brussels sprouts and Bacon, & Lobster Mac & Cheese for our sides. For dessert we got the Key Lime Pie, Beignets, Chocolate Cake, & the New York Cheesecake.The steaks were cooked to perfection and the Filet melted like butter. All of the sides were good besides the Mac (I love a good creamy Mac and it was ok). My fav desserts were the beignets and chocolate cake. Our group had no complaints with their meals, and we will definitely be back.”

“Currently sitting at the bar with our favorite bartender Stacey! She’s the reason we continue to come back and enjoy her and the delicious food! My husband has been ordering the salmon dish for a while (Josh style) he makes it with a coconut cream sauce! It’s delicious!While waiting on his dish after they didn’t make it correctly the first time your NEW manager brought it to the bar and was extremely rude. As she placed his dish on the bar she made it clear that this is the last time the chef will be making it this way! That’s definitely not the way to go about it with a customer that comes at least once a week.Maybe having the manager discuss with their staff what the kitchen expectations are and what they are and are not willing to make to make their customers happy.Everyone sitting at the bar all commented on how rude and uncomfortable the situation was.So although Stacey and Fernando are excellent and treat us with so much respect your manager failed to manage and make a customer happy all while ruining our experience for tonight!”

“Pizza is usually excellent. But yesterday I got the 2 slice pepperoni lunch special and the crust "handle" was separated from one of the slices, making it kind of hard to eat without making a mess.”

“This is my favorite restaurant when I go to Florida. Sometimes I get the shrimp pesto and then other times I’ll get the mahi-mahi grilled sandwich with sweet potato fries and we always get garlic rolls. The Food is delicious! Their garlic rolls are THE BEST!!”

“I haven't been to long horn in about 15 years. Considering it always felt like a "fast food fancy restaurant". But even if it is our isn't, I have to say this was delicious. It puts fancy steakhouses to shame. The prices were incredible in today's trash economy. A party of six and we took food home was about $150!!! The service always depends who you get, this girl was kind and sweet but never came back and asked for refills. We still tipped her good. lol but the food was incredible, and ambiance clean and welcoming.”
