“It is my mom’s 65th birthday and I had plans for a custom cake to be delivered to her. Those plans were dropped by the person to bring the cake last second and I was so beyond saddened. I thought last minute to see if I could place a delivery order for another cake. The delivery service does not allow for any cake, customization, and I was aware of that policy, but thought it was worth a shot to try and contact the store to see if they would make an exception. Liz, the owner of this Carvel location and Anthony Not only listened to my panic about not being able to get this for my mom, but went out of their way to customize the cake and send me a picture of it. Since I am out of town, this was the only thing I could do that I knew my mom would love And they were able to make that happen. I cannot put into words my gratitude, because it would’ve been very simple to say it’s just policy that they can’t accommodate that. I will never buy another cake from anywhere else again, and it is people like these that make the world a little brighter. If you go in store they offer other cookies that they also make that are not posted on the app and web. So if you are craving a certain one, you just walk right in and place the order. They serve 20 flavors in a 3.7 ounce size for around $12 and pints sell for $20. Ice cream and sorbet are infused with beer, wine, and spirits. “A great spot for something sweet at night. From ice cream cakes, to popsicles, cones, Blizzards and hard ice cream, there is something for everyone. They even have the old fashioned banana split and sundaes. When I was a child, I used to love the dipped cones as bad as that is for you. The two guys on staff were kind despite the long lines and the low tip jar. I will definitely come back to eat here again if they can give that type of service on a busy night. Don't expect much, it's a tiny storefront with mostly take out and a few tables outside however they have every DQ sweet treat you are looking for.“
