“Honestly, this place is a gift from God. A safe healthy joy and love filled environment. I went for my first time this week got the Moses Mocha latte. I was not rushed with the menu, or ordering. I was checked on. What meant a lot to me was after studying for a few hours the owner said goodbye and remembered my name. It made me feel seen, loved, and valued. Exemplifying the love of Jesus. I left thanking God for giving me this little cafe that I can now study at and bring my friends to where in a crazy chaotic world I can escape and find peace and the presence of God. “Despite being a Sunday, I was seated immediately by a window. Service was friendly and helpful. The food arrived soon. It was tasty but a bit difficult to eat as the toast and prosciutto were chewy and difficult to cut with the knife, so it took a bit of work to eat. But it tasted good, and the bloody mary was pretty good, too. Check was delivered quickly so I was able to pay and leave without a long wait. I'll go back!“

“This was my second time having afternoon tea here. It was wonderful. The food was delicious and just the right amount. Service was very attentive and the whole setting on the patio looking out at a little lake, white cloth tablecloth and serviettes and China cups etc was delightful.I am a Brit and partial to afternoon tea and am often disappointed here in the US. Whistle Stop doesn't pretend to be an English afternoon tea, but a Southern one and it's spot on.“

Two rice versions (yellow & dirty), yams, mac & cheese, catfish, oxtail, honey fried chicken, smoked cabbage were perfect!! Oh do not skip the sweet cornbread almost like a cornbread pound cake and another must is the banana pudding!! Every bite was a soulful bliss of love, flavor, & freshly made goodness!! “I went this morning for breakfast and I loved it!! First at all, the owner is lovely! Very kind and very informative about their menu, her husband was very nice as well.Place was super clean, music in the background was super relaxing and fun.Now food: I ordered huevos pericos(scrambled eggs with tomatoes and scallions) with an arepa filled with cheese(corn pie) and a cafe con leche.It was delicious!! The arepa was amazing! Great flavor, crunchy on the outside and soft inside. The cafe con leche was out of this world. My husband got a ham, egg and cheese sandwich on cuban bread, and it was delicious as well. We will definitely going back and recommend this place.“

“Owners and their son are ALWAYS super friendly. They recognize their regulars which is always nice. The food is hot, fresh, delicious, and they customize for your needs. I usually order the same thing but today I tried the chorizo breakfast bowl (mixed in some sauteed brussel sprouts for a little razzle-dazzle!) and WOW it was so good, will probably be my new go-to. “A much needed space in the Tampa community with a great atmosphere and friendly service. My kids had the gelato which was creamy and rich. My husband and I had the affogato with a scoop of the chocolate gelato which was the perfect amount and so delicious. It was the perfect way to finish our evening off. “Came here today to try something new for lunch. Cafe Caribe is a cafe that specializes in Latin foods for the most part. I got a bowl Of Picadillo which consisted of ground beef, yellow rice, black beans and sweet plantains. The wife got a Cuban Sandwich. I was pleased with my meal both in portion size and flavor. Since it was closer to noon when we arrived the place was packed but we were able to get a table in the back and were served right away. The atmosphere is nice and homey with pictures of the family that owns the place on the walls. The prices were very reasonable and overall we were pleased with our meal and will certainly be back .“
