“I can not say enough about Trattoria Bella! Our office used their catering for our Christmas party & everything was just amazing! Everyone raved about each dish. Julia the owner, was wonderful to work with. She answered all my catering emails very promptly and made great suggestions. I loved everything so much, I took my daughter there tonight for dinner. It’s the cutest little Italian restaurant with a great atmosphere. Our waitress was great & service was fast! Highly recommend checking them out!”

Real Japanese sushi chef making sushi. Everywhere I’ve been to never have made rice right. Never season right but this one had it all! Even my American husband said he can tell the difference with rice . We will go back and want to tell him Thank you so much. Gochisousamadeshita.”

“Excellent service at this restraunt. I took my parents here for diner. I ordered a medium-rare steak but received a well-done one. When waitstaff checked on our satisfaction, I sent the steak back. Next, I received a perfectly prepared steak. They explained that new equipment in the kitchen had thrown cooks off their game. Additionally, management comped my meal. You will be well taken care of at this restaurant.”

“Excellent dining experience, made possible by Alyssa, she was very attentive ,and efficient. Manager Becca. stopped to chat, took notice of our dinner, quickly pointed out her disappointment in the quality of the steak I was provided, (too much fat). I was fine with it, no problem on my part. She was not pleased with quality and made adjustment to the bill and offered heart felt apology. Fantastic attitude and surprise. Thanks”

“Amazing atmosphere with a variety of Health Conscious food items. They also have raw organic local milk and local organic jarred goods for sale. I was understanding by $30+ total for one taco, one smoothie, and muffin, and I appreciate the quality of the ingredients used. Certainly coming back soon to get my milk!”
“Fun atmosphere and neat decor....beer cans lined the walls and let me tell you there was more kinds of beer made over the last century than I ever knew existed?.....it was crazy! Anyway, the food was good. However, for the price I felt like the crab legs could have been a little more meaty.”

“I order a pizza tonight the delivery driver was being rude to my disabled aunt who answered the door telling her he drove a long way and needs his cash tip....which I was literally in the process of getting for him. When I said: hey whats going on, that's rude i am getting it. He told me" f you, keep your fking money. Don't f**king call us again. Literally seconds from getting cash this driver already goes nuclear and curses non stop, leaving without a tip. He is on cameras freaking out. I can't believe how entitled Dave the delivery driver was. I called was told there was no manger on location was refused the driver name. Horrible experience I would not recommend them to anyone if that is kind of people they have working there.”

“So happy I found this place and gave it a try. It has become one of my new favorite places to go. Their smoothies are delicious and so fresh tasting. I tried my very first Açaí bowl here and it didn’t disappoint. It was absolutely delicious. I love my new cup I got from there. I can bring it for them to fill my smoothies as well . Also, the best part is its close to home. The atmosphere is so cozy and welcoming. Great place to relax and do work if needed. I really Love it here. Highly recommend going and giving it a try if you haven’t. The staff is so friendly and give great suggestions. There are tons of options to choose from as well. Can’t wait to go back”

“Al-Houda Restaurant - Palm Bay - 5 Stars Hidden Gem Alert Wow, what a great find! It actually took me 24 hours to think of an opening to this review. Al-Houda is the kind of restaurant that is why I do this day in and day out, looking for that one special place, that one special morsel of food, that single flavor that makes you go....WOW!!!!! Well, it's all here at Al-Houda. Let me further preface that my father's side of the family immigrated from Syria at the turn of the last century, so I spent many years eating a wonderful surprise of authentic Middle Eastern dishes. Most Middle Eastern restaurants have Americanized the region's food, and it's so rare to find authentic recipes that I don't even look anymore. Given this history, it was with great joy and happiness that I found Al-Houda's cuisine. Now all is not perfect in Al-Houda land. For one, it is a very small dining area with limited seating. I also found out later this restaurant mainly caters to the Florida Tech Arab group, so their hours are cut back drastically during the summer. The lady who greets you, who I assume is an owner, has very little grasp of the English language, to put it mildly. If you are willing to try this amazing food you will need to either order what I ordered or be prepared to point. The menu has a half-hearted English explanation of each item. (See the menu photos). The server will not be able to espouse the great wonders that await you. Furthermore, they only serve bottled drinks. I chose an Aryan (pronounced R-yawn) yogurt drink which is essentially Middle Eastern buttermilk. It was quite good and addicting with a sour finish that is actually enjoyable. For the main meal, I ordered lamb kafta with baba ghnouj. The baba was made in-house. There were tiny chunks of eggplant you don't get from the distributor. I do not believe the Kafta was chef-prepared from scratch with fresh ingredients but it was high quality, better than I have found locally otherwise. The crowning dish I consumed was Molokhia, which is a chicken stew with greens. The morsels of chicken are so tender and juicy they should put a whole chicken in it. As I repeatedly tell my readers I am not a chef, but I know enough to tell you about execution and presentation. When it comes to ingredients, if they are non-standard I can't always discern exactly what they are. In this dish, I know there are greens they call jute. Beyond that and the chicken all I can tell you is it is one of the best flavor sensations I have ever experienced - I mean ever. This dish is so flavorful and enjoyable you can't stop eating it. The Big Boy wants you to stop and give Al-Houda a try. Whether you are a Middle Eastern cuisine veteran or virgin, I promise you won't be disappointed”

“The Habanero Grill 1851 Palm Bay Rd NE Suite 2, Palm Bay, FL 32905 4.5 Stars The one thing you rarely see in a "Mexican" restaurant in the good old US of A is a personage from Mexico. According to a Pew Research Study, most of you, except for college or military service, would find this extremely surprising, as 57% of us have never left our home state. However, those who travel know this is because your local "Mexican" restaurant is Tex-Mex at best and so far from a real representation of the gastronomical delights originating in Mexico as to be unrecognizable as such. Not so for The Habanero Grill. This place was packed with people from Mexico. Having never experienced this, my guest and I paused upon entering. Maria, the worldly-wise owner, greeted us and immediately put us at ease with her understanding of the English language. My dining partner spoke Spanish, which was a plus but not a requirement by a long shot. When in doubt, nod, smile, and point! Having only read about the Mexican delicacy of an authentic Mole sauce, I ordered the Mole chicken along with some Carne asada and Huevos chorizo. With our order in, we sat back, took in a friendly, rousing atmosphere, snapped a few pictures, and thought of setting up a game of bumblepuppy on a napkin to pass the time when our food arrived. Just take a peek at those pictures, people! The plates are loaded with scrumptious-looking grub if there ever was any. If it tasted half as good as it looked and smelled, this would be one hell of a bang for your buck. First up on my ever-critical palate was the dish I had never tried, the Chicken Mole. Generally speaking, a mole sauce will contain fruits, nuts, chili peppers, and spices like black pepper, cinnamon, cumin, and even dark chocolate. I also heard that in some parts of Mexico, it is made with fresh chicken blood from that night's dinner, but this is unverified. The classic mole is known as mole poblano and is dark red or brown and served over meat. Based on the color, this was the variety I was served. The plate consisted of a leg/thigh piece slathered in the mole. The chicken was cooked to a perfect doneness, and my first foray into mole was a foodie's delight! What a sauce! The complexity yet melding of the spice combination set my taste buds to dancing. As hard as it was to stop eating this otherworldly sauce, I had a job to perform. Moving on to the Carne Asada. This dish was spot on. The meat may have been just a tad overdone, the reason for the 1/2 star loss on the rating, but the flavors were outstanding, and I had a severe fiesta going on in my mouth while still having one more dish to sample! The last dish to grace my palate today was the Huevos chorizo. I absolutely love a good chorizo. Combine that with perfectly cooked eggs, some rice and beans, and I am there. The chorizo was magnificent, just superbly seasoned. I don't know where they get it, but I will ask next time. The eggs were perfect, and the sides were excellent. I would gladly eat here once a week. The Big Boy says, "Winner, winner, mole dinner!"”

“Tree of Life Cuban Bakery, 1200 Malabar Rd. SE suite #2, Palm Bay, FL 32909 4 Stars Glancing down at my random name generator, I poured myself another cup of coffee. I was going to need it today as I was about to head OTB for a second visit to Tree of Life Cuban Bakery in Palm Bay. Having been there before, I brought my niece along as she is fluent in Spanish and will be able to help bridge the language gap. Janice is our service professional today, and she is on point, pleasant, and skilled in her job performance. Using my niece as a translator, I put in an order for one Midnight Breakfast Sandwich, one Cuban Sandwich, and an order of flan. While waiting for our order, I snapped a shot of Janice working her tail off and have to comment on the décor. The whole place gives off such a jovial atmosphere, and it has to be due to the employees, paint, and artwork hanging about. Well done! If one would, at this point, take a peek at the accompanying pictures, one will see that the Midnight Breakfast Sandwich is the prototypical grill-pressed "Panini" style, albeit on made-in-the-back freshly baked Cuban bread. One bite was all it took to know that this was a magnificent concoction of the American breakfast staples: egg, ham, cheese, and meat candy (bacon). The bread was grilled to perfection, toasty on the outside, slightly sweet, warm, and delicious on the inside. My discerning taste buds found this to be incredibly enjoyable. Now on to the Cuban Sandwich. As I mentioned before, this is my second trip here and my second go-around trying their Cuban. Once again, my palate is introduced to the best Cuban Sandwich this side of Yeehaw Junction. The meats are so incredibly delicious I would even hazard to guess that they make their own Cantimpalo sausage in the back as well. The flavor is exemplary! Now onto the flan. Flan is an ancient dessert going back to the days of the Roman Empire. At that point, it was just one type of dessert. Today, depending on where you live, it can have a few different meanings. In America, we associate flan with what is actually crème caramel. Flan is a dime a dozen in these parts, and I regretfully have to say that the flan at Tree of Life Cuban Bakery is not worth a dime. I found it to be rather bland on the palate. It didn't taste bad, just not much at all. A lot of Caribbean countries include coconut, condensed and evaporated milk, as well as a bit of nuts or fruit. This just needs a jolt of flavor, and it will be fine. However, as it is….. The Big Boy says, "Go get a sandwich, any sandwich, especially the Cuban, but skip the flan."”

“Mash Hoagies- Palm Bay- 3 Stars As I left MASH Hoagies in Palm Bay, full but not completely satisfied, I couldn't help but think of the late, great Rodney Dangerfield who once said, "I get no respect, I tell ya. The way my luck is running, if I was a politician, I would be honest." That is exactly how Sonny, the owner of MASH Hoagie's struck me. He is an honest, hard-working fellow, who wants nothing but to make the best product he can for his customers. Unfortunately, circumstances beyond his control prevent him from doing just that. Wanting to grasp the ever-elusive American Dream, Sonny purchased MASH Hoagies less than two months ago and is giving it the old college try. Sadly, it would appear, he is dying on the vine so to speak. Running a restaurant is a tough enough industry in which to find success, add to that buying a place with "meh" reviews to begin with and you have your work cut out for you. This eatery has everything you want in a casual dining experience: a clean, well lit, spacious dining area (including outdoor seating) and a friendly, helpful, motivated, on point staff. The only thing missing here is quality meats. I am sure that Sonny bought the place with the meat distributor already in place. Being a new owner, I don't blame him for sticking with them while he gets his feet wet in the marketplace. However, that time has long passed and it is time he moves beyond the shredded, pressed, sliced and processed meats (ala Subway and Jersey Mike's) and goes with a real meat distributor like Boar's Head or Deli Master's. I ordered "The Colonel Blake" as I never really got over Radar's infamous line, "I have a message. Lieutenant Colonel ... Henry Blake's plane ... was shot down ... over the Sea of Japan. It spun in ... there were no survivors." and I felt I needed the closure. I continued small talk with the engaging owner as he handcrafted my sub so that I could, in my own small way, say,"Abyssinia," to Col. Blake. The first thing that caught my eye was the way Sonny cuts the bread for his sandwiches; akin to how Subway originally cut theirs, he "scoops" out the top and makes a long bread bowl in which to ply his craft. He then expertly lays the ingredients down with care and genuine passion for his food. The green, crisp lettuce is placed on the bottom, followed by garden fresh tomatoes and then the whole kit and caboodle heads south with the introduction of the processed meat food product stacked high -- all topped off with your selection of sliced cheese. Everything was great, except, as noted before, the processed meats. If Sonny gets a new meat distributor I'll be back, meanwhile, The Big Boy says, "It's not bad if you're in a pinch and it has a great owner, but your food dollar would be better spent elsewhere.”

“One of my good friends Rick "Ti Battuer" Narcisse invited me to go with him to eat at Divine Grace Caribbean Restaurant. I had never on my 15 years (I am American don't make fun of me haha) of existence tasted such juicy foods, its like everything exploded in my mouth. I had an absolutely fantastic experience dining at Divine Grace Caribbean Restaurant. The food was truly outstanding, with a rich and authentic flavor that really transported me to the heart of the Caribbean. I tried two dishes, but my personal favorite was the fried pork with rice and beans - it was cooked to perfection with just the right balance of spices and seasonings. But it wasn't just the food that made this restaurant stand out - the service was exceptional as well. The staff were always friendly and attentive, and they went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable and satisfied with my meal. And the atmosphere of the restaurant was just as impressive as the food and service. The décor was tasteful and inviting, and the music really added to the overall ambiance of the place.Overall, I would highly recommend Divine Grace Caribbean Restaurant to anyone looking for an authentic taste of the Caribbean. “Krispy Krunchy Chicken, 190 E. Eau Gallie Blvd., Indian Harbor Beach, FL 32937 You 4 Stars (chain restaurant review) Instead of going for a quick Burger or Taco, why not mix it up a bit and head over to your local KKC and change up the routine? Yes, I said KKC, not KFC. The one my random name generator directed me to in Indian Harbor Beach, FL, is 1 of over 2,700 locations across 47 of these United States and some in Malaysia and American Samoa, mainly in convenience stores and gas stations. This one beachside is super clean and, well, beachside. As I stepped up to the counter, I was greeted by Ryan. He is the counter specialist and cook as well. Ryan has a fetching personality and was exceedingly helpful as we placed our order. I ordered some Honey Biscuits, Fried Shrimp, Fried Fish and some Cajun Chicken Tenders. Ryan excused himself to the kitchen while we sat and snapped a few pictures of the place. As I said, it is clean enough to pass any white glove test. I thought it would be nice if the tables had a virginal to pass the time when Ryan indicated our order was up. If a place is advertising hand-breaded chicken, their biscuits better not be the Sysco plug-n-play variety and these weren't. They were obviously made to order and outstanding on the palate. Baked to a perfect golden brown, these were warm, flaky and drizzled in honey. I would rate the biscuits at 4.5 Stars and these are worth the trip all by themselves. They would also make a great after-school/work/errand snack. Next, I took a sampling of the Fried Shrimp. This was nothing to write home about but nothing to scoff at either. The shrimp were of a good size and deep fried to a pleasing color, just missing a little "oomph" to push them over a slightly above-average rating of 3 Stars. Moving on, I set my peepers on the Fried Fish. If the Fried Shrimp was slightly above average, the Fried Fish was slightly below. The Fish had an ever so light fishy taste and as we all know, it shouldn't. The Fried Fish, by itself, would have a meager 2-star rating. This brings me to the final item in my order, the Cajun Chicken Tenders. I went with the 6 PCs, which is a good thing I did as they weren't long for the table! How could you go wrong with hand-breaded breast tenders in a savory coating with tasty dipping sauces? The Tenders were deep fried to a model color and doneness that would make Gordon Ramsay say, "Now, that's an Effin' chicken tender!" If I were just rating the Tenders, this would be a 4.5 Star review all day, every day. As it is, I'm sticking with the 4 Star until they get fresher fish. The Big Boy says, "You know you want some, so just give in and go."”
