“Visiting Pompano Beach from out of state and love eating Cuban food while I'm here. There are a handful of Cuban places around, but no place like this one! This place is attached to a gas station and has a small counter to order food. The person behind the counter was singing while he made coffee! He clearly was loving his job! If I wasn't in a good mood, I would have been when I left. The coffee was superb. I also got a egg sandwich on a croissant. Sounds so simple, but it was delicious! The croissant was soft and buttery. The egg was hot! I saw the whole thing being made. I wouldn't change a thing. Going back tomorrow.“

“Looking for an afternoon hot latte, I did a quick search on my drive to the beach. This to me personally, was some of the best espresso I have had in the area. Keep in mind this is an old school hangout type vibe, with all the dons smoking cigars in the front. However, I appreciate a good smelling smoke of cigar, and felt very invited and the most warm welcome from all the regulars sitting outside enjoying the perfect weather. This is definetly a guys hangout place, but the high quality espresso and equipment spoke for itself. More importantly, the man who made our drinks knew exactly how to finesse and was quite delicate with the machine. The result was a delicious well steamed latte, at a very reasonable price. I loved they even had milk alternatives, which I am always comparing, and this was in fact the correct type of almond milk to make a hot latte, and was steamed to perfection.“

“This place is a true "hole-in-the-wall" and gem tucked in between continuous industrial sites and blue-collar businesses. The breakfast is some of the tastiest and freshest in the Pompano area.Don't miss out on the freshly squeezed orange juice. They also make some of the best cortaditos I've ever had, especially if you're a coffee guy like me.Don't expect to walk into a luxury restaurant because it's far from that, however the coziness, family-owned charm and down-to-earth ambiance makes this place special. “SERIOUSLY … looking for the best taste experience in coffee & pastry of all kinds, see Mike & his lovely wife at the Festival Flea Mkt … they use the finest pastry ingredients and the freshest coffee beans providing a full bodied flavor like nowhere else around Deerfield Beach (wherever the hell that is!). My favourite is café con leche. It’s impossible to pass up this experience when I take my wife out for a coffee & try to lose her outta my hair. But don’t take my word for it, just ask my wife next time you see her at rehab and tell her it’s time to come home to cook hubby a meal. That way I’ll be ready for another best coffee in the world tomorrow. Mike, I’ve sworn off drugs and alcohol just to be sober enough to enjoy your goods. Coming through Mike … get those beans ready.“

“It’s nice to know there is a restaurant that uses ingredients like I would use for cooking at home. They use organics etc and the results are great dishes. They have sandwiches that are great too. The food is prepared in advance and they dish it out in realtime, the selections are abundant. We were in pompano for a quick trip and we ate here three days in a row. If we lived there we’d be in the restaurant regularly. They have a small market integrated into the restaurant with some nice selections if you need some stuff in a pinch and don’t want to go to the regular market. Overall this place has a great atmosphere and happy staff also, so it’s pleasant to visit.“

“The food was very good. Very fresh tasting. We had the guacamole salad with shrimp. We were very happy to see that we didn't have to wrangle with the shrimp to get the tails off! The guacamole and salsa were very tasty and fresh! Ice cold frosted mugs came with the bottled beer! Edgar, our server, was amazing, very attentive but not over-baring. Probably the best server we have had in the last 6 or 7 years and we eat out often. The ambience is fun, relaxing and authenticly Mexican. We will be back!“

“If you're looking for a terrific place the locals go to, you've found it. Share the entrees so that you have room for dessert, as that's where this place really shines. The cuatro Leche is incredible and the flan, well it's on another level. Don't leave out the cafe con Leche to wash it all down, as it was the perfect compliment.“
