“We were traveling to the Hard Rock hotel for a concert and got a room at a Hampton Inn. We were looking for dinner choices in the area and found Sims Smoked BBQ on Yelp so we thought that we'd give it a try. It was a great choice. The staff was friendly and very accommodating. The Brisket was delicious as were the sides. If you are in the area, I'd highly recommend this restaurant.“

“I happen upon my old-time haunt from Tampa over in Seffner when looking for a bite to eat. I was happy that the food was exactly the same and the same family that was running it over in South Tampa. The only thing I wasn't crazy about was that at the old restaurant you got table service there. You had to order at the counter but they did bring it to your table. My favorite is the rib dinner with the macaroni salad and the buttered potatoes. I never skip a chance to have their chocolate cake homemade and delicious! One of the family members was working that Day and he went out of his way to be friendly and talk to me at the counter and came to my table as well.“

“Utterly the best barbecue I've ever had and you get it faster than you do at McDonald's. Great service and it's family owned and operated. Love the rib's, collard greens and the Mac n cheese. Several other great items on the menu too. They do not serve fried food like some barbecue joints it's real barbecue potato salads, garlic butter parsley red potatoes, cole slaw and lots more. You won't be disappointed.“

“Ordered a rack of ribs to go. Requested the juiciest and thickest ribs they had. And also requested they only cut the slab in 1/2 so we could reheat 1/2 of it the next day without it getting dried out.Ok..ribs were dry already. And they sliced the entire slab of ribs up ..so much for reheating them the next day.It’ll be a while before I forget this and come back. Dumb, simple instructions here. Not brain surgery.“

“First Class all the way! Had them cater our event for over 250 people, the ‘Topping Off’ party for the new hospital being built in Riverview on 301. From Set -up, the servers and take down- 1st class!!! The food was wonderful!!! Highly recommend.“

“The food was great, they made it fresh when we ordered it which is always the best. We gota few dishes to split since it was our first time having it. We got the loaded pulled pork fried with BBQ sauce, a BBQ pulled pork sandwich, and sweet and spicy wings. The BBQ sauce was a bit sweet for my taste, but still delicious. I think the sandwich bread was toasted with garlic butter, it was so good. The wings could use some more spice. It tastes like there's love in the food, overall highly recommend.It appears to be a family owned business and I love to see it!“

“We were sat pretty quickly even though they were busy. Steak was delicious and came out in a reasonable amount of time and as ordered. Dessert took longer than the main course. The fried pickles were way too salty, but the server took them off our bill. Definitely will return.“

“Last night was my first time ordering from bubbaques and I was surprised how good the food was I ordered the combo dinner which gets you two choices of meats, and two sides I got the brisket and pound of chicken wings the brisket was very disappointing and was dry, chewy, and lacked flavor. The wings on the other hand were fantastic and were nice and Smokey had great flavor with the chicken tasting good and the size of the wings were big. The fries are good there are crinkle cut fries wish they had salt on them but are good fries. The Texas toast was good I liked how one of the sides of the bread was toasted and when you eat it it’s not to crunchy it’s still nice and soft and still has a bit of crunch to it. Their brownie for desert is good I like the flavor and is very chocolatey but it is kind of chewy which sets it off but it’s a good brownie. Great place for barbecue and the quality of the food is good and gives large portions.“

“Wow, I just had the best experience, ever, at the Brisket Shoppe. This was my second time in, my first time was also a great experience, they asked me if I had been in before and when I said no proceeded to take me on a tour of the place! This time I came in and they just made me feel like family. “The Brisket Boys” as I like to refer to them in my head, were all so kind and inviting, felt like I’d known them all my life. The food: well this is the only place in Tampa that is frying in pure beef tallow. Every other place that boasts “tallow fries” actually cuts the tallow with some kind of seed oil. I avoid seed oils like the plague, so this means a lot to me! Even the gravy I dipped my fries into didn’t have any sketchy ingredients. The brisket was melt in your mouth and I loved the seasoning. I highly recommend The Brisket Shoppe!“

“This place is wonderful! We recently put in a catering order for chopped pork, chopped beef, and smoked chicken - all so yummy. Not sure how they do it, but the pork was very moist and tender and the other meat had wonderful flavor as well. They were super friendly and even gave us all the plates, cutlery, napkins, and sauces at no extra charge to us. We will be ordering from them again! Well done, Big John's!“

“I stopped at Nidia's on the way back from The Strawberry Festival in Plant City.Nidia's offers takeout. The beans were phenomenal, so savory. The grilled chicken was very dry but seasoned well. The ribs were pretty basic.The people running the establishment were so friendly and kind. There is a sense of camaraderie chatting with others waiting for food.“

“I just got off the TB-BBQ-BoatCruise catered by My Mamas BBQ and let me just say the food is DELICIOUS. The cruise offered two meats, three sides, and a dinner roll along with a 4 hour cruise along the bay. The meats prepared were seasoned so well I almost forgot there was bbq sauce provided. The side dishes were finger licking. Everything was amazing. I can’t wait to do it all again.“

I even stopped by for breafast the next morning and had my 1st better than hardees biscuits and gravy along with, "What!" smoked corned beef with poatatoes. It made our day!
