“My brother in law took me here while visiting Florida and it is not a huge spot. I wish they took pride to making the place a bit more appealing and even play some music while people are waiting. The place was packed and everyone was patiently waiting and then I realized why everyone was patient. The food was slammin! The service is a bit slow because the joint is always busy and they cook to order.Honestly, I don't know a logical time to call and go in and your food would be ready. You just have to be ready for it. We had the tassot turkey which taste just like griot. The sos pwa rouj was to die for. I don't know what they put in it but you can taste a different flavoring. It was so good. The stewed chicken was also good. I'll definitely be back when visiting.“

“Found on accident, followed the aroma. Food was great. I got fried turkey and it was well seasoned and tender. My american husband who dislikes turkey tore it up. Not a fan of the macaroni salad but I prefer that than the withered salad you normally get from Haitian restaurants. I'll be trying other items cause if you make turkey that good you cant mess up anything else. Ty Bistro Creole.“

“I really enjoyed the food. Everything was well seasoned and tasted freshly prepared. The guy taking my order was very helpful and pleasant to interact with. This may have just taken the top spot for Haitian food because they ACTUALLY had black rice as advertised. The Pikliz was spicy and so good!!!“

“Found this place because another Haitian restaurant dropped the ball and I'm so glad they did! I ordered a childhood dish I always loved, spaghetti with shrimp! The way my mom used to make it was clearly second to none. I ordered it hoping it would be somewhere in the neighborhood of what my mom did, and it did not disappoint! I also ordered for later today an order of garlic shrimp with fried plantains. It too was excellent!!! On saying this restaurant's contact information in my phone. Next time I'm in Pompano Beach, I'm coming straight here!!!“

“I’ve been coming here for a while and they NEVER seem to disappoint me! And when I was being told that there was going to be a few new items on the menu to be coming soon which was these smoothies and chicken wings you see below, I mean I’m speechless the pictures tell it all! Wings were perfectly cooked and seasoned, the smoothies are definitely a game changer. I ordered the Ji mango which was so good I added strawberries to mine, they let you add to your smoothies you can literally order whatever smoothie fits your appetite in that moment. I also tried the Ji corossol which is sour sop in English, in our Haitian culture ?? that is a very popular drink that we drink for comfort or just to have something refreshing literally reminds me of my childhood! Yall the overall environment of this restaurant is filled with love and good food. It’s always good to call ? your order in so you can be assured the best proficient service, but don’t worry they are patient when taking your order and food will always be fresh?. 10/10 go try them!!!! Go on your lunch break who doesn’t love wings, fries and a smoothie! And if you want rice instead of fries looking for more of a dinner option you have that choice as well.? La belle Monique: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“

“The fried pork (Grio) is always cooked to protection and the pikliz (Spicy Coleslaw) taste perfect with the rice, beans and pork together. Just an amazing combination, family run restaurants are the best in Oakland Park. Hands down best Hattian food in the area.“

“Easy to find and the lady that helped me was really nice. They do not have vegetarian options which is sad but they did have some seafood options for me. I tried their fish patty and black Haitian rice. Both were really good and I will be back to try other options.“

“I recently dined at Choublak and it was an absolute delight! From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted with warm hospitality and a vibrant atmosphere. The menu boasted an array of authentic Haitian dishes, each bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. The griot was tender and flavorful, the legim was rich and hearty, and the pikliz added the perfect kick of spice. Every bite was leaving me eager to return for more. I highly recommend Choublak to anyone craving delicious Haitian cuisine!!!“
