“Even though Ellies has great food, great servers and othe help except Pam who was a different story the first time she was our server. She was pretty miserable and I noticed the busers were doing pretty much all of her work. She just took our order. Busers brought menus, silverware, drinks and even did our refills. One of the other servers on the floor brought us our food. We chalked it up to she was having a bad day and even though I wanted to tip the busers, we did tip Pam! Today we got her again and from what we could tell, nothing had changed! Our opinion, if you don't enjoy working with the public, hit the road before you start causing Ellies to lose customers. We will try again, but if we see her coming to us, we will ask for a different server. No one deserves to be treated rudely!!!! We are out because we enjoy good people and positivity as well as a great home diner!!!!.“

“Worked on Water St. for 8 months and didn't check out this place until recently. Definitely regretting not picking up a meal from here sooner. “We were looking for somewhere to stop for brunch with our 2 year old before we hit the airport—and this is an amazing choice we’re going to be building into every trip to Tampa from here out! The food was amazing (get the sausage), café con leche was lovely, and our daughter was treated like a princess—even sent away with a free cookie. Door Dash picked up the wrong order, so I called and Mike (the owner) was able to get them to come back and deliver the correct one. This is the first time I've ever ordered from this restaurant and I did it because I was looking for a deal on it there was a $4 discount applied through GrubHub. That definitely added to the attraction but I know they have to make money so I will not ever begrudge them that. But the $4 discount was nice on this order. This was the most delicious salad I've had in a little while. And I found the value to be good. I got the avocado dressing times two because one is not enough and that was a dollar extra. Not the avocado ranch but the avocado dressing and it was absolutely just the best combo. Wouldn't change a thing. My list of ingredients included three bases of kale red cabbage and spinach then I added green peppers red peppers kalamata olives green olives black bean corn salsa edamame grated carrots and I'm not sure what else but that's a pretty good summation.“

“Defiantly the best Pizza in the SemHeights area.It's a thinner (but not too thin) crust NY style Pizza. Nice crisp, excellent toppings. There is a lot...lot of pizza places in Tampa and most of the are pretty terrible, this is one of the good ones.Good beer selection, local craft brewery stuff, not the largest selection but they got all the bases covered.Indoor/Outdoor seating. Yes it is a converted gas station, but is done surprisingly well. Has to be the only time I ever seen a gas station converted successfully.All in all great place, it's defiantly my go to for local pizza.“

“The wife and I went to the Village Inn today for breakfast/lunch. Our server was a lovely lady named "Breeze". She is without a doubt the best waitress we have ever had the pleasure to come across. She was prompt, attentive, INCREDIBLY friendly and nice. Our order was perfect, and she checked on us at least three or four times to make sure our visit there was worth the money. She even thanked me for my service as a law enforcement officer and my military service. We have family coming down from Chicago soon and breakfast will be a "breeze" at the village Inn!“

The décor by our seating could have done with a touch up, but this could have simply been more noticeable because we were sat in the corner by a wall.For us Brits, portion sizes in the US are massive, so we ordered one main and one starter to share, specifically the Chicken and Shrimp Carbonara, and the Toasted Ravioli. Both absolutely delicious. Technically you only get salad when you order a main, but our server was a gem and gave us a both a salad.
