“Absolutely delicious!! It’s hard to impress me when it comes to soul food. I’m from Georgia and since I’ve been here in Tampa a lot of the soul food spots don’t do it for me. They’re usually very bland, or just not good but not fork it up 813. This is the first soul food restaurant here that I actually really enjoyed. Everything is well seasoned and flavorful! I got the fried chicken, Mac and cheese, yams, collard greens and strawberry banana pudding. All of it was Delicious!! 10s across the board! Will definitely be eating here again.“

“What a great restaurant with excellent scrumptious food. My God! Was in Tampa for my cousins funeral and wanted some Soul Food. Well my cousin from Jacksonville Florida found this place. The hospitality, kindness make me wanna move down here. Went on Friday nite May 24th and ask my cousin to take me back May 25th. Thank God for the lovely couple and lovely children. “Swangin!!!! I ordered the fish and grits, a waffle and a chicken wing off of DoorDash. Fish was fried perfect, grits were not too thick or too watery, my eggs are scrambled and seasoned. I was somewhat skeptical on the price for the waffle. I was expecting an ego. I got something so massive, fluffy, and tasty that I couldn’t finish it. The chicken wing was fried as well as the fish it was seasoned. I like mine fried a little bit harder and I wish that was an option. Great value and taste for the price I would definitely recommend.“

“The food is great! Only problem with this establishment is the overall environment. The furniture is dirty and it appears ad if zero attention is paid to decor. I was there on a couple of occasions and the air conditioning appeared to be not working properly. There is no excuse for worn down/dirty furniture. Once that issue is handled this establishment will be known it's way to being a really good place to eat out at.“
