“As citizens of the world, we have dined at famed tasting menus across the globe. Konro stands alone in its brilliance.Jacob and Nadia Bickelhaupt have created a unmatched divine experience that earned our respect and admiration. The complete evening (March 13th) from beginning to end was a finely cultivated Masterpiece, delivered by two artists equal in their own right. Each course was a chapter in a sumptuously illustrated book that Jacob and Nadia narrated through word, smell, taste and touch.Jacob's, (whom I am shocked has not received his third star yet), passion for his craft and ingredients was evident to the minutest detail. After being educated on the ingredients, the history, the taste and how many bites to enjoy it in; we ended each course never wanting the chapter to end, but eagerly anticipating the next. The combination of flavors matched with the non-alcoholic pairing was clearly created by a genius. We were honored and humbled to have experienced it.Lent forbade the experience of the wine match that evening, but we were able to partake in the equal genius of Nadia's knowledge as Sommelier. The wealth, depth and breadth Nadia brought to each pairing was unmatched in any Sommelier we have encountered. “My wife and I were visiting from Ohio and we stumbled across this restaurant. Boy am I glad we did. The bourbon braised short rib was so flavorful and the sweet potato mash with the Brussels sprouts complemented it so well. My wife got the coffee crusted steak, and that was phenomenal as well. Would recommend this place to anyone looking for affordable but exquisite southern cuisine!“

“Not my favorite burger with it was pretty good. I tried the new yes chef burger and added mushrooms and jalapeños. It just wasn't as juicy as I'm used to with smash burgers. I also tried the chili plus cheese fries and they were okay. It seemed a bit light on the chili and cheese. The staff was friendly and the restaurant was clean. It's located in a nice little center with a bunch of shops and other restaurants.Update: I went back and tried the grilled chicken sandwich protein style. It was good but it was pretty small for a $10 sandwich.“

“Been coming to this place quite a bit over the years. I always get the burgers so can't comment on the rest of the menu, but you really can't go wrong with any of them. The only complaint is sometimes they're so big they're hard to eat. Cute little place with a nice pub-like atmosphere and a good outdoor seating area as well.“

“This is a great place for a meal. The ambiance is lovely. They had just added a petite filet onto their menu, which was excellent, served with bernaise sauce. I would love to see a few more options, as the menu is a bit limited for main courses. Perhaps offer something other than salmon as a fish dish-like a whitefish. “Hi! I have always enjoyed my Wednesday and Thursday night dinning experiences. The reason being Everley is always awesome and great. My friends and I have stopped coming on those days because she hasn’t been there on those days. Where is Everley on Wednesday’s and thursdays we miss her. We would bring the crowd on those days if she was working. Please bring her back on those days!!!“

Unfortunately, as so many restaurants, right now, they were severely short handed however, we truly never noticed. The servers took exceptional care of us. “I have eaten here many times and today was no different. I love the quality of the food and the portions given! And the pesto sauce is always my favorite. I ordered the Regular bowl with 2x pesto noodles, ginger broccoli, citrus chicken, Parmesan cheese and lots of pesto sauce. My order was ready as soon as I walked in! I will definitely be back again.“

“The food was very good but when we were there, the service was averaged at best. I’m not sure if they were having trouble with getting somebody in and someone was overwhelmed.Food came out quickly and it tasted good. we were given the bill and never saw the waitress again.“

“The food here is always delicious. The restaurant is a non-profit that supports animal rescue. The view is peaceful and charming. It’s a small place, so be prepared for small annoyances, like they’re out of an item, the tiny parking lot is full, or one of the bathrooms is out of service. It’s worth it. “Four people shared 2 filets. Both came well prepared and presented. Server excellent, anticipated needs, available when needed. All 4 had dessert - creme brulee and chocolate tart received raves. Carrot cake was a huge serving, but was excellent. Overall, this was a winner!“

“Off the main path, the restaurant had a nice 'steak house' atmosphere. They served a tasty tender aged prime filet and an aged delmonico including a salad and side. The sweet potato was whipped and spiced nicely. The Woodford Reserve Old Fashion I had was made just right. We ended the dinner sharing a house made bread pudding. The prices were very reasonable and the portions are good. The only suggestion would be for them to offer a petite filet for the ladies. The 9 ounce filet was the smallest portion and my lady would have enjoyed a 6 or 7 oz portion. I will definitely return to this restaurant when I am back in town.“

“We stumbled upon this place walking around downtown Northwood last night and we were just blown away. The atmosphere pulled us in, but the food was the real star of the show! I had a French cut steak with béarnaise that was probably one of the best steaks I've ever had (to my husband's dismay!). We finished dinner with creme brûlée and espresso and it was just perfect. The creme brûlée was so light and my husband was raving about it. Service and management were great too! We will definitely be back!“

“Its a good place to eat out, a bit pricy however for what it is. The dishes were small, and service was good but nothing too fancy to count it as a fine dining. The tip was included in the check for two people which was a bit odd but it’s fine. We spent around 200$ for two people including drinks and tips. The place is fine and worth trying out.“

“How did I forget about FIRST WATCH?!? I used to live nearer to one and forgot how awesome it is. The food is consistently delicious!! I love the veggie sandwich, it is hearty and tasty. Yum. I had it with a chicken honey pecan salad that is a sweet flavorful delight. I also tried a seasonal drink and it was great. “Went during happy hour. Had to ask for happy hour menu. Waitress didn't really know about the food or wine deals. That being said, there was live music, that volume thankfully was turned down a bit so we could talk to each other. Food arrived hot to the table and was tasty! Modern decor. “Jeanna was our server and she was a delight! Went with my family for dinner after reading some good reviews online. We're new to the area, so we're exploring all the local spots. We started with micheladas which were yummy. The tajin on the rim made it nice and spicy. No ice so there was more to drink! The civeche appetizer was good but a little heavy on the cilantro. (We're "cilantro tastes like soap" people :( ) my dad got the chicken entree, mom got steak and shrimp entree with some kind of spicy sauce and I got the Carne Asada. Everything was so so good!! I'll be honest, when they brought it out, I didn't know how I was going to feel about it. There was a puddle of black bean sauce that took me by surprise, but it wound up being one of the highlights of the meal!! Steak and plantains were cooked to perfection! 10/10 will definitely be back!!“
