“I had a delightful dining experience at The Animal Farm in Columbus, GA on October 7th. The restaurant's lively atmosphere, combined with an ongoing event, "Happy," added to the overall enjoyment of our visit. We decided to start with drinks and were pleasantly surprised by the quality of our choices. The Moscow Mule and Planter's Punch, priced at $6 each, were both fantastic. For appetizers, we opted for the pigs in the blanket, which were packed with flavor. Our only wish was that they came in a larger portion, as we savored every bite of the $7 dish. The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the braised beef pasta, priced at $25. I can confidently say it's the best meal I've ever had. The flavors in this dish were outstanding and left a lasting impression. Our waiter provided excellent service, though we regrettably didn't catch his name. My boyfriend ordered the prime ribeye for $36, and it didn't disappoint. The flavorful meat, complemented by the delectable potato gratin, made for a memorable main course. We couldn't resist trying two desserts. The banana pudding stole the show with its irresistible taste. On the other hand, the chocolate peanut butter pie, while good, didn't quite reach the same level of delight and likely won't be a repeat order for us. Overall, our experience at The Animal Farm was exceptional, with stand-out dishes like the braised beef pasta and the banana pudding. We left with satisfied taste buds and a desire to return for more culinary adventures.“

“This was our first visit here. Friday night was very busy as the night went on. Line outside for a seat after 7 pm. Great service great food. The chilli was chuck full of brisket beaf. The chicken cobb salad was very refreshing. The lobster bacon sandwich was surprisingly good.“

“I didn't eat here, but the people serving were extremely kind and helpful. I was hired to film John Cox performing here, and it was such an awesome atmosphere. Everyone was in good spirits, having fun, and laid back. Definitely seems like the place to be. I hope to return as a customer and enjoy the ambiance, good music and hopefully some food.The only thing i will say, is parking is EXTREMELY limited and gets taken up QUICK! So you may have to drive around or park in a parking garage.“

Therefore, it seems only logical that this philosophy lead me to the doorstep of my first encounter with the famed “Shrimp and Grits” experience.While we have greatly enjoyed meals at “First Watch” when visiting Colorado, we certainly didn’t expect to find another location here in Columbus (nor could we have predicted that this is where my introduction to shrimp and grits would take place).Admittedly my ignorance of “the grit” fostered some anxiety within me, but I bravely soldiered on beneath the banner of adventure. (In truth that “bravery” had its limits and I did an internet search for images while at the table just to prepare myself for what might emerge on my plate after it departed the kitchen.)As it turns out my fears of the unknown were unwarranted. I sheepishly sampled the grits first. ? Then the shrimp. ? And then a bite of both together. ?? Wow, that combo of flavors was really impressive y’all! “Hands down the best food you will find late night. Their kitchen is a hidden gem. The bar is a hit or miss as far as bartenders, but the atmosphere is chill. Smoking outside on the patio and pool tables are usually available. There's karaoke some nights.“

“This was a great IHOP. Food was great, service was great. BUT, it was COLD in there. Like no matter where you sit there's a portion of the artic blowing on you cold. Like go get another jacket to wear on top of your jacket cold. I know you can't please everyone with their preferred temperature, but a few degrees warmer and I wouldn't have been grumpy while eating my pancakes.“

“Ya, I know it's Hooters, I also know that the reason most people go is not because of the food. I was impressed with the wings and service. The waitress was prompt, and (if you are old enough) the wings were crispy like they used to be when they were breaded in the restaurant.“

“Came here with wife and in-laws for dinner. This was the first time I have eaten at this chain. To start the staff were busy but still friendly and attentive. They start with bread that to me was very similar to Outback. So if you like outback's you'll like this. I will say though that the butter here is amazing. Not sure what kind it is but it's good. I got the sirloin and shrimp and the wife got the filet. In-laws shard the chicken. Wife and in-laws got a salad as a side and it was fine. Typical side salad. I got the Mac and cheese and baked potato. I'll say they cooked the sirloin perfectly and it had great flavor. The shrimp came with a garlic butter to dip in so was like having scampi. Again shrimp was very good. The Mac and cheese had a great crust and flavor was decent. Potato was well a baked potato. The wife stated her filet was also cooked well and was tasty. In-laws also liked their chicken. We all were very satisfied with our meals. Also I did get there old fashioned and it was done right. With 1large ice cube and a luxardo cherry. Now this isn't prime at Bellagio in Vegas but for the price it was a great meal. We all would eat there again.“
