Wolf Lodge Inn Restaurant 11741 E Frontage Rd, Coeur d'Alene Steak House • $$

“My wife took me to Wolf Lodge for my birthday. It may seem like a small thing, but there are a couple things that ruin a restaurant experience for us that, as we drove to Wolf Lodge, we wondered how our evening would go. Is the restaurant loud, and is the restaurant cold? Wolf Lodge Inn Restaurant is neither! As soon as we walked in we knew we were going to enjoy our evening together. The whole place is warm and inviting, with many rooms and hallways. It is cozy and comfortable. The waitresses were great - and then the food! It was wonderful. We both ordered rib-eye steaks. Wow!, they were good, as good as any steak I have every eaten - grilled to perfection over a tamarack wood fire. When I asked how long the steaks were aged, our waitress had to consult with the chef. Their steaks are dry-aged 60 days!Great place, great ambience, great steaks, a wonderful place to spend an evening. Highly recommended.”

Funny name...best food in CDA!!! I am an avid (self proclaimed) pit master, I smoke any meat that I can get my hands on. That said, I usually get any dish that has smoked meat in it so I can judge the chef. It rarely goes well for the chefs smoked meat, mine is almost always way better! Holy Moly! This burnt end brisket in the Mac n Cheese was fantastic! Seriously best food in the area and it's just a brewery! Love it, KRISTIN is the kindest and most attentive waitress. Cuban sandwich was my favorite. Tamales were the best I’ve had in recent memory. This family needs a bigger restaurant honestly, so more people can enjoy this great food. “I came in today to pick up a pizza and watched a woman in front of me make the most ridiculous custom order. It was a lot of modification, but Sawyer, the employee on the register, held it down. No sweat he knew what to do, and made the interaction so swiftly, to where I didn't have to wait to be helped. I picked up my pre-ordered and paid for pizza, and complain about my back pain to another employee who had sympathy for me. Thank you for recognizing me other guy working, I'll be back for more delicious pizza made by an A+ crew”

We ordered strawberry boba with raspberry popping pearls and order two pretzels and one sour cream sweetbread loaf. They were so good!! And the barista was super sweet even though she was definitely stressed with all the people there. So I really appreciate that!!! Some people can be very mean even when they aren't stressed. So the fact that she was nice plays a big part in a big review. Beverly's 115 S 2nd St, Coeur d'Alene American • $$$

“We visited Beverly's to celebrate our anniversary... We had a table reservation, arrived early so sat in the bar and immediately received a very warm welcome and positive energy from bartender Chris and from Cynthia... We enjoyed perfect ice cold martinis while we soaked in the gorgeous lake view... the bar staff was so nice, that when our table was ready, we chose to stay and dine in the bar as the chairs were low and comfortable and the views were outstanding. Upon ordering dinner, we started with a French Onion Soup and Beef Carpaccio that were both impeccable. The beef carpaccio was unique due to its dry aging and the French onion soup cooked to perfection to my liking as requested (extra golden on top). Even the bread service was delish... For our entree's, we shared the hot rock filet and holy cats it was a perfect medium and the presentation is outstanding with the fire-y creamy peppercorn demi-glaze poured over the steak and hot rock... We could cut the steak with a butter knife it was so tender... and flavorful... we also added a half pound of king crab legs which were fresh, blissful and hearty! As a sweet surprise, they added a handful of fresh rose pedals to our bar space in celebration of our anniversary. Throughout the evening, we truly enjoyed speaking with the bar staff, most notably, bartender Chris, who radiates with positive energy and loving vibes with a genuine heart... (ask him about his campground dream)... and Cynthia was lovely as well. A kind soul. From the moment we arrived, to hours later when we reluctantly left, we left with full bellies and even fuller hearts... Seriously, it was a wonderful experience we will not soon forget... Thank you so much for making our celebration special.”

This time, the staff was absolutely wonderful. They made us really feel welcome and then again, the food was absolutely perfect for a second time! If you can get a window seat, it’s totally worth it but not a deal breaker. If you are in town, definitely try this place! The steaks are fantastic and so is everything! Thank you!”

Chalice Brewing 413 E Sherman Ave, Coeur d'Alene Brewery • $$

“Chalice Brewing probably had one of the most unique beers I had while traveling through the Idaho Chimney and I simply loved it and found it highly memorable. While chatting with a brewery owner from several stops before this one he recommended trying the TeaSB. He went on to say that Chalice Brewing didn't make a wide variety of beers(They do have quite a few guest taps when I was here though) but what they did make was excellent and to try this extra strong bitter beer.Living up to it's name quite well it indeed was an Extra Special Bitter along with Earl Grey Tea making a very special kind of beer. Earl Grey was definitely present while I enjoyed this beer as well as subtle flavors of biscuit and maltiness. For any beer explorer that desires something out of the ordinary then the TeaSB is definitely one to try. This brewery is located right in downtown Couer d'Alene so you can sneak it in easily in-between the gift shops and restaurants or if you are just wrapping up admiring the lake and want to kick back with a refreshing and unique libacial enhancement Chalice Brewing is worth going to for sure!”

“It has been way too long since we've visited this unique market. The pine trees really make the experience special. They have a great mix of crafts, veg, bakery, meats, etc., and unlike other Panhandle markets we've been to, the whole place is filled with happy folks. Real nice grandstand for the local performers, as well. Thankfully, the businesses around it allow parking in their dormant lots on a Sat AM, and that's definitely a credit to the market organizers to get that important support. This is the best time to go during the calendar year, so don't waste another weekend. You'll miss this in the Winter...”

“This business, in my opinion; provides the most consistent customer service, quality ingredients and downright delicious food. TLDR (To Long Didn't Read)~ Good prices for tasty food you won't regret paying for, Good selection for family. Great service.Sure, you might think I'm lying about delicious. But I know every time I take a bite of the Saturdays special Brisket Birria Taco with consumé (ie. soup or broth) or a regular Crispy Brisket Taco. It's the closest glimpse into Guy's flavor town that I know.Let's be honest, Price of food compared to quality/flavor in the area is somewhat spotty. However, here you can count on a GOOD PRICE for CONSISTENTLY GOOD FOOD.My kids also love their egg and cheese burritos and chicken tacos as well. This spot covers all bases for me! They do have a variety of items aside from the few I have mentioned. If they are sold out of brisket, in my experience, their other choices are equally delicious in their own right. Can't go wrong!”

“We went for a family dinner and to try some of their St. Patricks Day eats. The atmosphere was really nice and has been updated to allow lighting to come through the storefront windows (they used to be painted with a European countryside scene that was nice but made it feel like you were in a cave). The wait staff and chef were nice and accommodating of our large family. The food: The kids all had kids secret sauce spaghetti. They all loved it. When the chef so how quickly they devoured it she sent out a platter of fries on the house. My daughter tried the adult portion of chicken fettuccine. It tasted great and filled her up. Had I ordered it I would have wanted to add a Caesar salad. We don’t order a Caesar salad but after seeing a neighboring tables salad, I def had fomo and have added it to the next time list.My wife and I ordered from the St. Patricks Day special menu that was advertised on Facebook. I had homemade meatballs on a bed of mashed potatoes. They tasted great and came with a sauce that was tasty when mixed with the mashed potatoes. I added a bowl of leek soup. It was tasty and reminded me of potato soup with bits of crunchy celery added. It was really good. My wife had a special pizza with sauerkraut and sausages. I wasn’t a fan but she loved it.If you haven’t been in a while, I’d give this place a try. It’s been updated with a new menu and decor. The tables all had linen table clothes and napkins. The dress was a mix of casual (us) and some tables dressed up for a nice dinner. It’s an upscale restaurant sneakily hiding amongst other boring strip center stores. Don’t let the exterior influence your opinion of this place.”
