“Food was excellent. Was it pricey? Yes. But I feel that it was worth it. Their salsa verde is so good. Unlike previous comments stated. I was able to pay with my debit card and they do have an ATM. I was the May 5th 2024. This is the type of place you would go to on a special occasion given their prices. But over al, my family and I were satisfied with the food. (Oh and the tortillas are handmade)“

“Penelope's Vegan Taqueria Andersonville hits the spot! Honestly, this is probably the best vegan Mexican restaurant I’ve ever been to. The portions are a nice size with many great menu options. The staff are very friendly and attentive. The food and ambiance are great. The Chunky Quesa Taco (cheddar cheese quesadillas taco topped with asada, onion, cilantro, lettuce, tomato and green salsa) is a must try! Overall, if you visit, you will not regret it!“

I love the outdoor seating spaces that they have.. decked out with lights and a fire pit that smelled so good! When you go inside, they have a lot of throwback decor, which I always love. The cashier was so patient with us and took time to answer our questions as my sister searched to find something that suited her dietary restrictions. It took us a while to make some decisions about what to eat, but ultimately, I had a fish taco and a brisket taco. The fish was just okay.. your typical fried cod with some basic toppings. The brisket was amazing! Their handmade corn shells were so good and fresh . The meat was tender and very well seasoned. My sister had the shrimp taco, which she enjoyed, and also chips and guac. They have various flavors of margaritas and other libations. It's a great place to go for a quick bite, especially if the weather allows you to sit outside. I'll definitely be back!“

We enjoyed 3 steak tacos, 1 tongue, and 1 al pastor all flavors were on point tongue was very tender. I would ask for the al pastor cooked a little me well in my opinion. We also had 1 melanesa torta of beef steak 5/5 real good. The fresh water pinapple drink was made with all natual fruit . Overall spent 35 but well worth every dime. The staff were very friendly, the food was delicious, and prices were more reasonable than several other Mexican restaurants in the area.I had the Chilaquiles (without meat or additional onion) and it had just the right amount of taste and spice. My wife had the Huevos Rancheros which she liked but were a bit too spicy for her. It was her first time trying them. I found them D-lish (I love me some spice!). My daughter had the breakfast burrito... it had chorizo, scrambled eggs, pico de gallo, and 1 or 2 other ingredients.There was plenty of parking and a small outdoor seating area as you walk in if that's your vibe. Definitely will be coming back to try out the rest of the menu. The hours are limited though so you'll have to plan accordingly.“

“Real Mexican tacos! Tacos and tortas are very well served, the people is very friendly and the food was out at a super speed. Restroom was very clean too. The tables and the whole place look a bit old but clean, clean, clean!Kid-friendliness: Our kids love plain tacos but even for the picky eaters they have chicken nuggets, fries, burgers and quesadillas, so I would say it is a very good place to eat with kids. Plus the beverages are delicious.“

My husband and I knew we wanted to do great and delicious mexican food for our wedding and we were struggling to find someone who could do that in a large venue setting, and was willing to travel to Janesville, Wisconsin. I found Rossy through tons of research online and so happy I did! She is so incredibly kind and we enjoyed taking the drive to Chicago where she cooked right in front of us a variety of options to try for our wedding.I know that my husband and I probably over communicated often in the 9 months leading up to the wedding with tons of questions and making sure all would go right. She was so patient and kind, communicated with us as we needed, and made sure we were confident with the day of.The day of was amazing! The set up of the food was great for a buffet for 220 people! It was delicious and was a HUGE talk even after the wedding from family and friends. I noticed last time that the burrito was a bit bitter and so this time I got it without onions and it was much much better. Actually, the nachos were probably the best. Shortly growing on me.
