This new Mexican restaurant is a positive addition to the city of Des Plaines. The staff was so nice and greeted us warmly. The place is immaculate which is so important to me.We stopped in on a Wednesday, and the special was $2 tacos, so we had tacos of various sorts. It's nice that you can have a choice of different taco shells because some places don't offer a choice. I prefer hard shells and they had them. The salsa verde was mild and I like that. I know we will return.

We loved it so much the first time, we came back a week later! The food is was amazing, everything seasoned perfectly. We tried the steak tacos and I had a chicken quesadilla the first time. Second time I tried the barbacoa taco and a carnitas, while my husband had the steak burrito ranchero.Both times we ordered takeout and it was as made in record time! Very friendly and polite. Can’t wait to be back and will tell all our friends about this neighborhood spot!

The location is hidden, the food is really, really good, the family is friendly and they are planning for a good future. Best Mexican I have had in the area, bar none. guacamole is fresh and wonderful, steak chimichanga had the highest quality steak, very flavorful. Los Azares is a must go.

This was a Grubhub order so I can't really speak for the service or ambiance. The prices are good and there are plenty of menu options though.Our chips and salsa were bland, as were the beans and rice. I do know that midwestern palettes are different from Left Coast or southern palates, so I'm not too surprised.Her asada tostada was a little bland too, but the picadillo tostada made up for it with more "oomph" to it (that's a direct quote). My barbacoa burrito was good and the sauces on the side were delicious. They have that subtle spice that sneaks up on you and five minutes after you've eaten your lips start burning. Perfect!Overall, it's okay. Three and half stars, rounded up thanks to the "oomph."
