“We tried food at the dining place at the back of the store. It was satisfactory.Vegetarian options: This is a japanese food dining place, so either it is tofu items, soups, vegetable rolls, boiled beans, friend vegetable or meat (salmon, chicken, pork etc.)So you can choose decently.Parking: Enought parking space because this is located in a strip mall.“

“We go literally every other week. The food is great, the price is great and the service is great. Does it get busy? Yes! Will things slow down a bit? Sure! Is it worth it? It’s why we keep going back!!! The sushi lunch option is a sure guarantee with a side of soba! YUM!!!“

“i've been here a handful of times now and always have such a pleasant experience. service: friendly and prompt. they are quick to greet you at the door and offer help with any questions. there is a self serve water station towards the middle of the restaurant restaurant is small and not too many tables but each time i've gone there wasn't many people. food: everything i order here is so good. they have a very extensive meal and also have added more it seems -bulgogi fries: must add the kimchi. it's so good! ask for no ketchup though.. felt like it would have been better without it -assortment of makis and kimbops: i can't choose, whichever one ive gotten has been so good -fried chicken: super crunchy! everything about my meals have been so good! highly recommend!“

“A must-go in the Chicago suburbs for a delicious omakase experience + unique rolls to enjoy! Went for my birthday and enjoyed the food and service so much that I took my dad here a few weeks later. We were treated with such hospitality both times — thank you Kaido Sushi!“

“DO NOT SLEEP ON THE SIGNATURE NIGIRI. FIRE EMOJI, FIRE EMOJI, FIRE EMOJI =P Ari Sushi offers traditional and elevated modern sushi rolls, nigiri and some cooked kitchen items. It is a small and locally owned spot with about 30-35 indoor dining seats. They do not have a full bar however they do offer Japanese beer, wine and sake. They do have 1 cocktail called the 'high ball' which is a whiskey and ginger based drink. The decor/atmosphere could use some love. The quality of sushi is top notch and excellent yet the vibe fell short. I will say that the light fixtures were very nice but the rest of the place could use an upgrade. The tables, chairs, booths and walls could use some TLC. Using cloth napkins vs paper napkins would also provide a more sophisticated dining experience. Service was consistent and attentive. Even the chefs checked in on us a few times during our meal. This shows he truly cares about his customers and their time at his restaurant. All staff members were friendly and helpful. This was my first time there and felt comfortable throughout. Back to the nigiri. OMG OMG OMG, the portion, quality, presentation and flavor. STOP ITTTTTT. My fiance and I tried 3 different signature options - the big eye tuna, zuke salmon and madai. I would come back just for the nigiri and to hang out with chef ari. We also ordered a few signature rolls - Hamachi Yellowtail, Golden Lobster & Rainbow Dragon. They were equally delicious and of great quality when compared to nigiri. Of the 3 my favorite was the Golden Lobster and my fiance's was the Rainbow Dragon. The ratio of rice to fish was great and wasn't overly filled with rice. Ari Sushi offers half portion and full portion rolls. In my opinion it's waaaay worth it to always order full portions. I meannn, why would you do that to yourself?! Hehe“

“We ordered sushi for take out from here on a whim (after our regular place turned out so busy on Good Friday that they disconnected their phone and turned off online ordering). They have a great selection of maki, both basics and specialty rolls at very fair prices. Edamame was piping hot when we got it home. We found a nice surprise in our order - they had included 2 ice cream desserts with a hand written note to have a good night on the box. Really sweet touch. Everything was fresh and yummy - I also feel like the specialty roll portions were very sizeable. Will definitely come back again to try some of the bento meals and udon noodles! Thanks :)“

“This has quickly become my 'go to' place for sushi. I've had quite a variety of their rolls, and everything was quite good! In-person dining is best described as intimate owing to the small size of the restaurant. If you're claustrophobic, this might be off putting. Seems clean; a bit heavy on dark wood. Service was efficient, though the woman that served our table during my first visit seemed overwhelmed (I believe she was the sole server). Poor thing! My preference is to order for takeout so I can pig out in private at home. If you love the spicy kick of wasabi as I do, don't hesitate to ask for extra--they'll readily compliment your order with more. Overall, good quality sushi in terms of sizes of the rolls and taste, at price points that won't cause considerable angst. I can, and do, recommend Abishari with great ease.“

“Great welcome by hostesses even though we arrived before opening time; she sat us immediately. The Rolls and Sashimi are standard good. Server was not very knowledgeable of menu. Our friends do know the place and ordered a “black rice” that is different. Had a nice bottle of Gruner wine. Overall a good experience“

“Every time I dine in at Izakaya Sankyu, I walk out full and happy! For the longest time, Kitakata was my favorite places for Japanese appetizers and drinks, as well as the occasional "comfort food" entrée, and I was sad when they closed. There still a number of places that filled in the gap, but I feel like Izakaya Sankyu is the one that checks the most boxes. They have lots of great small bites to share with friends like kushiyaki, takoyaki, tempura fried croquettes, fresh & pickled veggies, sautéed butter mushrooms, dumplings (their gyoza was shumai had a fantastic crisp to them), seared / roasted meats (the unagi and beef were great), crispy chicken wings, maki, and they had my personal favorites - chazuke bowls, zosui bowls, and Osaka-style okonomiyaki!Pair these with soju cocktails (the sparkling hard yuzu-ade was awesome), $5 Asahi cans, Sapporo samplers, a huge selection of sake, and several varieties of Japanese and western whisky for a fun time. If it's not time to get crunk, they have teas, sodas, and virgin cocktails. If you're particularly hungry, you can fill up on excellent udon, ramen, soba, and a good variety of dinner entrées. I particularly enjoyed their grilled seafood, their Japanese spin on Korean buchimgae (chijimi?), and their generous chirashi. I've had a few bites of their teriyaki dinners, and they seemed on point as well.I wish I lived closer to Izakaya Sankyu, as their food and service was top notch. If you go by their recommendations or take advantage of their daily specials, you can enjoy a lot of food and drinks for reasonable prices while spending quality time with friends and family. I felt a little bad we took up our table for so long, but the staff seemed to enjoy serving us (and it probably didn't hurt leaving a generous tip afterward). On the flip-side, I suppose if they were TOO close by, I could kiss my diet goodbye; their izakaya fare is almost too inviting and tasty, I'd have trouble eating too much! No joke, I could probably eat three plates of okonomiyaki in a single sitting. :D“

“Royce chocolate and cookies is located inside of mitsuwa along with several high end vendors and shops. Royce doesn't disappoint. Paris was extremely helpful and went over all of the offerings that Royce had. I ended up getting the variety pack because I couldn't make up mind. Great gifts for the adventurous tongue and even for someone with a sweet tooth. The have adorable pink gift bags to make it for a quick pick up. I absolutely recommend the fromage blanc chips, they are delicious and daring at the same time!“

“I placed an order online for pick up on a weekend night for Yum Woonsen, crab rangoons, shrimp tempura, Thai iced tea. Pick up was super quick because my order was ready right at the time I requested. I loved everything I ordered especially the yum woonsen and the crab rangoons. The yum woonsen had so much flavor, chicken, and fresh vegetables. I ordered it with 3** spicy level which was a little too spicy for me but I couldn't stop eating it anyway because it was that good. I also loved the flakiness of the crab rangoons and they had a generous amount of filling.“

“Excellent little dine-in place with great portions and picture-perfect plating. The Tonkotsu ramen was piping hot and generous with the serving, and the potato croquettes were perfect in just about every way. For the money, it's hard to do much better than this. The dine-in area is a bit spartan, but it does the job. They were playing some lovely City Pop music so the vibes were right. Will be back sometime for sure.“

“A very unexpected gem we found right in downtown Des Plaines! Honestly was not expecting much as we live in Downtown Chicago, but this place was surprisingly delicious. The bulgogi was a hit with the kids.. just mixed a little of the broth with the veggies and meat in rice and the kids just ate it up! We ordered both rolls and nigiri and they were fresh.. not overly seasoned or sweet like so many other establishments. The hamachi is definitely top grade. The service was very attentive and the quality of the food impressed.. We will definitely be back!“

“Now serving breakfast! The very kind bartender was all by himself shuffling around breakfast plates and making bloody marys for several customers- please get him some assistance.Breakfast tacos were pretty good (warm eggs, crispy bacon), but potatoes were so-so (not warm, not crunchy). Coffee was OK. Overall, it met the mark for a quick, warm, sit down breakfast (not many options in terminal C).“

“The food was pretty good! We started with the shumai which came with a delicious spicy sauce. Our rolls were all pretty good, with our favorite being the turtle roll. The spider roll was probably my second favorite after that. The only thing we didn't love was our rolls came out in waves instead of all together which was kind of annoying, but maybe they were busy or something. Our waitress was also very kind. Overall solid dinner and we both agreed we would come back if we were in the area again.“

“Fuji Ramen & Sushi was excellent. Having been to ramen restaurants in Chicago, Japan and other locations I would say it’s an excellent ramen location. We’re so happy we have a local option vs. driving to the city. We had our 4 yr old daughter with us and let’s just say she was thoroughly enjoying each bite as it was dripping down her neck. We also ordered the Golden Sushi roll which had a great taste with it. We look forward to trying more rolls in the future. The restaurant was clean and despite previous reviews the robots which are great helpers help deliver the drinks and sushi right to the table. Please give it a try as you won’t know how great it is until you do. The waiter was very helpful to add on some extra noodles so we could share our ramen with our daughter and that worked out great. We will be back soon. An exceptional experience.“

“Delicious sushi, I haven't gotten to try the Korean foods here because the sushi keeps winning me over! Tried the chicken fried rice, maki rolls of tuna and Chicago, the bluefin tuna with ponzu and the flaming Steve. Was a great experience! Our son loved the chicken in the fried rice but didn't like that it had a sweeter teriyaki like taste instead of soy. He added some soy and seemed happy!Vegetarian options: A few maki rolls are called out as vegetarian optionsKid-friendliness: There is a small kids menu but our kids usually order maki or sashimi.“

“Quiet calm sushi place. I got a chirashisushi box and I underestimated the amount I was going to get. I was decently full from it. I got an assortment of seafood pieces - I wish there was more eel. If you're trying to hit up Chicago Ramen but you can't get in, I would recommend going here since it has a few ramen pieces available to choose from.“

“I believe this place used to be a sushi restaurant. Maybe they changed name or just same owner. Food is amazing for our dinner. We had some sushi, calamari, shrimps. It was good. The ambiance was very nice and no problem with the parking. Many choices in the menu but could only eat a few. Would come back to try another dish“

“Last time I had sushi was well over 15 years ago. Times change, appetite, and eating habits change so here I am. My wife enjoys sushi and has been here a few times and enjoys their rolls. I do enjoy food in the teriyaki family and I get this fix at a few other restaurants in town. The interior of the restaurant is inviting and it was strange being back in the former Peapod restaurant location. We ordered the crab ragoon, gyoza, chicken teriyaki roll, scorpion roll, Godzilla roll, and the beef teriyaki entree. Both appetizers were good but pretty standard. I tried a few rolls and it's still not for me. I believe the seaweed wrap is what I don't like. The filling is good though. My wife enjoyed every bite of it. The beef teriyaki comes with salad, rice, and miso soup. I don't particularly like miso soup but this one was slightly different in a good way. I enjoyed the simple salad as well. Now when I ordered the beef I wasn't asked how I wanted it cooked which is not unusual. When I received the beef it was too blue in my opinion. I'll eat beef anyway outside of raw but typically I like my beef medium. The sauce and vegetables were good and I still ate the beef. For drinks I stuck with water but my wife had a mango smoothie that was quite tasty. The employees were attentive and definitely hustling so I appreciate that. I would go back and get the chicken teriyaki (hopefully it's not pink) and let my wife enjoy the sushi rolls. 4 stars because everyone I know that has come here for the sushi raves about it.“
