“A nice little Coffee shop right in the heart of the Dawtown area. Very quiet and chill. The menu selection can be somewhat overwhelming specially if you're visiting for the first time, but the staff can assist with some great recommendations. The London fog tee latte is my usual when visiting this fine establishment. The food menu also has great selections depending on what you're feeling and the staff is very helpful and very nice. If you're looking for a small quiet place this coffee shop has that.“

“Honestly a very good location to dine in. The service here was great and quick, with the employees being super friendly and charismatic when it came to taking our orders and letting us know when our food would be ready. The dining room is super huge, and there are many booths and tables to choose from. The place itself has a very welcoming vibe to it, and it's a wonderful place to eat peacefully while also taking in the nice view the windows provide. Although I haven't been here since July of 2022, I'd love to come back again some time in the future see how much this location has changed. Great place overall.“

“The company I work for moved into the building where this Cafe is a couple months ago (mid April, 2017) and this cafe really stepped up its game. They have daily specials that are good and a great salad bar. Nice place to go for a quick bite without having to leave the building. The only thing that could improve is the way they traffic customers during the lunch hours. It gets really crowded and there is no organization or established lines.“

I recommend Pomeroy for any meal... because their food and service are both incredibly solid... their signature apple dessert is... and I wanted to hate it, a little because it was SO PERFECT... but I couldn't, because it was also one of the most delicious things I've eaten! The staff is exceptional and they have the ability to make a busy weekend night seem like a dead weekday afternoon... you never have to wait for anything, and your needs are met by anyone and everyone who is within reach of your table... Which means, every manager, host, server, busser, and runner etc will get you whatever you need when you need it, despite the fact that they all have an actual job to do! Because this establishment realizes that working as a team to make the guest experience wonderful is the key to success, especially in a place like Winnetka. “Doesn’t have any food really but their muffins are pretty good. The cappuccino is strong and the baristas seem to really know coffee. The atmosphere is cozy and happy, although it gets pretty crowded during the weekend. There is plenty of outdoor space and shares the space with billy bricks pizza and ice cream. “Maybe my second time here. Staff are great and friendly. Overall I enjoyed my food. I do feel the food could be better. We ordered the Nutella crepe and it seemed like a tablespoon of Nutella was used; there was nothing even between the crepes. It also just tasted average. I also got the egg sandwich and it just didn't feel gourmet enough. I would still go back for a quick meal and try other menu items.“

“Cream of the Crepe catered a baby shower I hosted for 30 guests. The owner was so helpful on placing the order and choosing the menu. He was always responsive when I had a question. On the day of the event, he and his daughter brought everything early and got all set up ( didn’t take up much space,) each guest got to order 2 crepes- plenty of food! They were efficient and cleaned up everything! I would love to use them again!“

Had one of the breakfast sandwiches, all ingredients tasted carefully prepared and selected, and the service was wonderful. They get bonus points for leaning into the Home Alone heritage of the city. “I have now visited this place a few times. I was here when they first opened and they needed to work out the kinks. I visited again when their pastries seemed to only come out of the refrigerated shelves and now they have a case with pastries. The two women working were nice when I arrived both greeting me separately when I walked in. One worked solely on drive thru orders and didn't help out the main counter if there was no one in the drive thru. The other working the main counter took her time making my drink of choice: hot mocha with oatmilk and an extra pump of chocolate (not a coffee drinker here). She filled my mug to the brim with artistic yumminess. It's a fairly open concept inside with two Jeni's ice cream coolers along one wall and a refrigerated cooler with juice cold brew canned coffees, bagels, fruit and other items. There's plenty of seating and plenty of space so you aren't on top of others. They have bistro tables, high chairs with a counter along two windows, low tables for 2/4/6 people for privacy to collaboration, and they have comfortable chairs and couches with coffee tables. It's a great place to start your day, conduct business, meet up with family and friends or to just kick back with a nice cup of Joe and a decent nosh.“

“West Town Bakery opened another location! They have branched out to the suburbs and created an awesome space with a connection to OKAY dispensary. This place is awesome. The bakery continues to impress and by the way has the most FABULOUS gluten free selections, I LOVE the cake balls! There is also a very cool inviting lounge attached to OKAY which I highly recommend visiting as well. Now I hear they are expanding and opening a new location in Evanston in early 2024, can't wait to see that.
