“Your MOST authentic Chicago style hot dog and Chicago hot dog joint experience. Look at their menu. Only 4 food items. Yeah. And really only 3 foods. Fries, hot dog, corn tamale. Least expensive hot dog ....anywhere, period. All dogs come with fries. They make it up on volume. Always a line, but plenty of staff works in a conveyor belt style. And you better best know how to order when you go there. For example, know how to order "one hot dog with everything including peppers".... here's the correct way "one with." Better know what you are ordering when you reach front of line or expect a look of irritation and perhaps even some cajoling "C'mon now, let's go" from your hot dog builder if you are vascillating or unprepared to order depending on mood and current busyness of the place . It's the experience. I lived there less than a mile from the place for the first 40 years of my life (except when I attended Northwestern Univ. and lived on campus in Evanston). Then, I lived in MN for 20 and now FL in retirement, BUT will take trips to Gene & Judes when visiting relatives for Thanksgivings, Christmases, Weddings and Funerals, etc. The taste is worth the trip into River Grove from the Northwest suburbs during my stays with friends and family living g far NW or far W suburbs.”

“The place is not a restaurant or diner is a HOME! This place was great in service, quality food, and caring every step of the way. It was my 1st time of many. Definitely, the place where I will celebrate my Mother's Day! Thank you all who work in this Home food.Parking: Always a spot to park!”

“As far as Italian restaurants go, this has got to be one of the best in the area. The food is always amazing and the atmosphere is very welcoming. A great family restaurant. Prices are a little on the higher side, but honestly, for the quality, it's not bad if you're going for a special occasion or a treat.Dietary restrictions: Everything on the menu can be made gluten free.Wheelchair accessibility: There are no stairs and the entrance is wide enough to accommodate a wheelchair. There us also plenty of room in the dining area for a wheelchair to move around.”

“This place is amazing! I was EXCITED to see a new Colombian restaurant in our neighborhood. The food was delicious! Seasoned & cooked to perfection. We did have a cabbage slaw come with our dish, I would recommend adding a lemon & olive oil dressing to it or using their house sauce as a dressing for the salad. Otherwise, food was amazing. Service can be worked on a little, but I understand they just opened & probably working out some things. With service it took a bit to be checked on, extra plates should come with appetizers, white wines should be served chilled. One thing I really would encourage is the waitstaff not to be shy with the language barrier “practice makes perfect.” We do not mind Spanglish. LOL Anyone should feel welcomed here & in our neighborhood. So, please don’t shy away from speaking Spanish or practicing your English. Its ok. All in all, the restaurant is amazing, very clean & I’m looking forward to going back soon.”

“The crew tried it out & we had a great time actually. Small cozy space but plenty of room to breathe. The cute young bartender Michelle was AMAZING and she's beautiful. She was so sweet and attentive. Hard to find these days.. she had the next round ready to go before we were even finished. 10/10 service. Menus pretty small but she did a good job,we weren't there for the food anyway. Over good experience, will stop back soon. Awsome place, happy to give them my $”

“This was for a 65 yr. high school reunion. Although we didn't have enough people to have a private room, they set us up in such a way that it felt like we were in a private room. They made sure there was always fresh pizza and salad.Vegetarian options: We had vegetable and cheese pizza also salad as our vegetarian options.”

“This is my favorite bar. I was glad when the current owner bought it because I didn't like the previous owner. Great place to have a beer and make new friends. Convenient to walk there when you live in the neighborhood and just want to get out of the house. Lucky you live in River Grove.”

“Stella's is definitely an interesting spot! I came here for a quick tea or coffee depending what they had. It's a relatively small spot nestled away in a strip mall by big stores like Ross, Binny's, Rich's Fresh Market, Walgreens, and more (easy parking in front). The place is bigger inside than it looked like from the outside! It was so nice and quiet during the time I was there and I saw someone even working on his laptop (only person in the place). That's something I'd totally do here. This is like a hybrid cafe and slot machine place. In the front half there's a cafe and tables, and in the back half there's slot machines and games. They also serve alcohol. The only weird thing is they couldn't make anything on their menu. They had breakfast and lunch items but the employee said they couldn't make it. I don't know if it was because of the time, but that wouldn't make sense to me because it was during lunch time when I was there (around 11:20am). I also wanna say the employee was SO SWEET; she was great to talk to, helpful, and truly very personable. It's obviously out of her control what the rules/standards are. I just thought it was weird they advertise a breakfast/lunch menu online and in their store but don't have any of it. I ended up getting 2 teas, one for me and one to take back for my sister and it was just hot water with Tazo tea bags. The employee was telling me this is usually a place for gambling games and drinking, so maybe that's why they weren't making food items. I'm not sure if I'd return since I'm not much of a gambler, but I could see myself coming back and working in their cafe area in the front during the day!”

“Great food, and the employees are all working hard. I see a lot of negative reviews from Karen types, people not understanding how coupons work and wanting things for free because they don't understand expiration dates or terms, people with that "the customer is always right" mentality expecting to be babied. It is a suburban location so none of this is surprising. But it has driven the rating of this restaurant way lower than it should be. If you like good food and you're a decent human being then check out this spot.”

“AMAZING!! great wine and snacks! the blueberry goat cheese is amazing the staff is so nice and hospitable and gave great wine recommendations definitely recommend the chocolate shots (won't give it away but they were a fantastic surprise!) we stayed for 3-3 1/2 hours it was a great time will definitely be back and will recommend to everyone!!!”

“As soon as I walked in the staff was absolutely friendly! I ordered a mangonada an a couple other items for my boyfriend and my kids and we all absolutely loved it. Hands down has to be one of the best ice cream spots. Not to mention every other ice cream place takes forever to serve the customers they were quick and gave great service it made everything 10x better.”

“Ruby was my barista it was like 6am and I ordered my drink wrong and didn’t notice till I was at the window to pay . She didn’t get upset and assured me it was fine and she had no problem remaking it . It’s early people are cranky but she was sooooo kind about it and so nice . She’s awesome and deserves a raise !!
