“My daughter wanted an ice cream so we ran in, she played the clawGame and didn’t win, no worries, better luck next time- as we turned around the gentleman had a prize waiting for her anyways. A small act that made our day. Thank you for the hospitality! Looking forward to ordering next week as well! :)“

“I have been here only once, and that too for a carry out order of spicy Korean wings. I had known of bb.q Chicken before going to this establishment. They are a Seoul based international Korean fried chicken chain restaurant that serve delicious fried chicken. In my visit to this establishment, I ordered the eight (8) count of their Wings of Fire sauce fried chicken wings as I was in the mood for something pretty spicy. I asked if the wings could be made saucy and crispy, and I was told that they made them in just one way. Since the wings are freshly made to order, I was informed that there would be about 15 - 20 minutes wait before order pick-up. That wasn't a problem for me. My order was ready as informed. I had my wings soon after pick-up while they were hot and fresh. The wings looked super delicious and tasted as such as well. They were saucy, crispy, and meaty. Their flavor was very good, and the spice level was too my liking. The Wings of Fire sauce was finger licking good. Yum! I couldn't get enough of it. The wings hit the spot. It was money well spent. I loved them. Although I don't eat much breaded chicken these days, I world certainly go back here to try other sauces based wings. If you haven't checked out this establishment, then definitely give them a try or more.“

“Fantastic food with great portion sizes, the Miso and Seaweed soup are delicious, ginger salad is amazing, and the traditional bowl is filling. Their treats are a perfect dessert after the meal. Highly recommended for a healthy place to eat that will fill you up but won’t weigh you down!“

“i've been here a handful of times now and always have such a pleasant experience. service: friendly and prompt. they are quick to greet you at the door and offer help with any questions. there is a self serve water station towards the middle of the restaurant restaurant is small and not too many tables but each time i've gone there wasn't many people. food: everything i order here is so good. they have a very extensive meal and also have added more it seems -bulgogi fries: must add the kimchi. it's so good! ask for no ketchup though.. felt like it would have been better without it -assortment of makis and kimbops: i can't choose, whichever one ive gotten has been so good -fried chicken: super crunchy! everything about my meals have been so good! highly recommend!“

“This place is a great place for casual eating! I love getting the seasonal Kong Guksu (cold bean noodles), and the Tteokbokki was such a hit amongst my friends and family! The food was also very fresh and had lots of different flavor profiles. Delicious and healthy Korean food in the neighborhood. Truly a gem in Korean food scene. Staff is incredibly polite and kind and the food is, as they claim in their website, authentic. It is just like home made cooking I remember and all ingredients are super fresh. The interior is adorable and very well coordinated. Highly recommend coming here if you're interested in trying Korean cuisine. I will be back to try more. I'm already recommending to friends and family.“

“The chicken was tasty, however, it's a bit of a nuisance that the smallest amount of chicken you can buy is a 10 piece. EVERY fried chicken place in the world have 2+ chicken combos. No 1 person can eat 10 pieces of chicken in 1 setting, true, the chicken can be taken home, however, for out of towners (which they get a lot of) can not. They should serve combos like other spots, they'll make more money.Update: ok, so after driving from Chicago back to Michigan, I realized a few things. 1. The "wings" weren't wings, they were actually wing dings, and the thought of eating 10 wings just for myself was outrageous, however, I am kicking myself, because I could have totally eaten 10 of those wing dings. I got the chicken around 1145 am, got home close to 8pm, and those buggers were still crunchy, yes CRUNCHY. I popped them in the air fryer and they were DELICIOUS. Best wing dings I've ever eaten in my life! Get the 10 wing dings, you will eat every one. I got the Galbi spicy ?. Even the pickled radishes were fresh and delicious. 5 out of 5 for me, and I dont even like chicken like that.“

“strongly recommend the restaurant! Honestly, the best Korean restaurant in the area and overall phenomenal experience. The barbecue was delicious! Marinated very well and tasted great with the salad/veggies that they made! The side dishes tasted amazing and they kept refilling! The service was also incredible. The owners are a lovely Korean couple and they really did a great job to welcome us. They even learned the name of our daughter and brought a croissant from the back for her to eat! They kept saying hi to our daughter during the meal and trying to play with her and engage her. When we left the came to the door to say goodbye to our daughter and us.Definitely 10/10 experience overall. We will be back!“

“I really like this restaurant. I don't know why because I can't particularly say the food is the best Korean food or that they have the best service or anything but something about it is just really nice if you want a humble Korean meal. The price is pretty reasonable for the food you're getting and there has never been anything I didn't like. The service is just okay. It's typical Korean service, sometime they're nice, sometimes they're not. But they were really understanding when we went with a bunch of babies that were loud and messy. My go to dish is the soojaebi, which I don't like paying for since I make a really good version at home very easily, but I feel like something about this place is just worth it. Definitely a place worth checking out if you like Korean food but don't like making it yourself.“

“Right off the bat, this is definitely the best new Korean BBQ place!I had been going to a lot of new restaurants recently and while many were nice, none had the wow factor for how good all the dishes tasted. While this does not have charcoal (I understand it is difficult to get a license for this these days) the meat was tender and marinated to perfection. It was a lighter marinade than most other places, which we actually liked better. Some of the meat were types you don't normally see at Korean BBQ - lamb, for instance. Again, everything was great - we were especially blown away by the marinated chicken! This is the one place in Chicagoland that would still be highly rated compared to the best in Seoul or Busan. We were there on Saturday, but will be going again tomorrow.I just read some other reviews after going there 3 times in so many weeks (and about to dine there again tonight). I wish there was some way to reply to some of the negative comments, but here I go:1. Lights are too bright.- I understand the western dining scene with muted lighting that make a place more cozy and romantic. However, I would daresay that the lighting for restuarants (and especially houses) in Korea is much more bright... although I am not a big fan of the common fluorescent (or bright white LED lights). I would say that Koreans like to see what they are eating :)2. Poor service.- Ah, I wish that the staff had explained the button at each table. Most every restaurant in Korea had these small buzzers - you just call for service when you need it... no need to wait forever to catch the eye of a waiter, nor call loudly across the dining area. One place in Seoul I went to had the niftiest of them all - it had 3 buttons: one for soju, one for beer, and the last (and largest) button for general. That way they had the drinks keep coming very efficiently, which I found amazing.“

“My family and I love coming here! Kid friendly, super clean here and we are always greeted sweetly by the owners and staff and they are so accommodating! One of our go to restaurants. We are always craving their food since there are a lot of tasty options~Few of our top favs!Honey garlic and gangjeong have been the top flavors fried chicken for us, perfect amount of spice and flavor and the chicken is nice and crunchy on the outsideTheir boneless options are good too pleasantly juicy on the inside with a nice crispy texturerose ddeok-bokki- the rice cakes perfectly cooked not too chewy not too hardperfectt texture and the flavors are so delicious. If you don’t have a high spice tolerance this can be a good alternative for you instead of regular ddeok-bokkiKimchi fried rice- delicious can’t go wrong ordering this dish here!We like to order fries and pickled radish with our chicken and it’s byob as well so you can enjoy a nice cold beer all together best combo!! (chi-maek) ❤️“

“Having been here many years ago, and returning, found that their food has improved, but the service is minimal at best with the owner and one staff waiting on all the tables. After we sat down to a half empty room, it started to fill up and there were not enough staff, not even a bus boy to clear tables. We ordered the Dolsot be Bim bop and the Yuk Guy Jang, which I order visiting new Resturants to see if they are consistent with authentic Korean food. The Yuk Guy Jang was good but much different than I’ve ever had before.I will try to visit again since I love Korean food too see if they are consistent.Be fore you go, look ? ⬇️ and hit the thumbs ? up.“
