“I had a fantastic experience at Bob Chinn's Crabhouse in Wheeling! From the moment I arrived, I found easy parking to the side of the building. I highly recommend making a reservation online, as the wait can be quite long if you walk in. Upon being seated, I ordered the signature Mai Tai, which came in a fun tiki mug with Bob Chinn's face on it. While the Mai Tai was good, it was a bit on the sour side for my taste. To start, I tried the clam chowder, which arrived piping hot and was absolutely delicious. The main course, the crabmeat vermicelli, was outstanding. It contained premium crabmeat stir-fried with tender cellophane noodles, bacon, onion, egg, and drizzled with oyster sauce. It's easily one of the best crab dishes I've ever had. One nice touch was the complimentary garlic rolls that the server brought out at the beginning of the meal. They were tasty but a bit cold. Overall, I would definitely return to Bob Chinn's Crabhouse if I find myself in the Wheeling area again. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the ambiance was lively. “Dined on a Saturday with 2 of us, 6:15 reservations. Highly recommend reservations, very crowded. My Entrée was Fish & Chips, their own BBQ Tater Chips, Very Good. Entrée #2 was Ghostbuster Burger with Vamp Fries, also very good, cooked as ordered. The cocktails are very reasonably priced as they should be. Example $6.50 for ECCO Pinot Grigio. Nice variety on menu. Will return. Our server Caitie took good care of us.”

“An absolute gem of a local neighborhood bar and bowling alley. Eight lanes of bowling with some of the original Brunswick automatic pinsetters, top ball return, and manual scoring (there are free apps available for scoring if you so desire). $6 per game and $2 for shoes (as of this posting February 2024), an absolute bargain. They have a full bar with 12 tap beers including a good selection of local craft brews (plus myriad bottles selections), and over 100 types of liquor, including flavored vodkas, whiskeys, rum, tequila, and everyone's favorite Malört. Wine is limited to individual serve bottles. The staff and owner are absolute legends, quick with their service and phenomenal personalities. They do not serve food aside from a few bags of chips, however, they do encourage ordering in. Joe's Pizza just down the street makes some of the best thin crust tavern cut pizza you'll ever enjoy. A pool table and TouchTunes jukebox are available as well. Outdoor seating is a great way to relax on those warm spring and summer days.”

“Kilcoyne has great food and great service. I highly recommend this hidden gem. We were visiting from Nashville and we were looking for some good food and were not disappointed. It has a bar on one side and restaurant seating on the other, separated by the kitchen. We had our nine year old son with us and sat on the restaurant side of the building. We happened to dine in on steak night and boy, did my husband and my son enjoy their meal! One got the New York Strip and the other got the Ribeye. Both steaks came with a loaded baked potato and broccoli. They couldn't quit talking about how tasty it was. I got the Bacon, Bacon, Bacon L and T. As the name suggests, this sandwich was loaded down with crispy, tasty bacon with some lettuce and tomato and was very good. It came with chips which was a good pairing to the sandwich. Come on in and ask for Sarah. She is a hard worker who will make sure your experience is a great one!”

Now I hear they are expanding and opening a new location in Evanston in early 2024, can't wait to see that. “It s nice place in Wheeling to have tacos, I went on Tuesday, they call it taco Tuesday as every taco costs $1 only but this if you pay in cash , if you pay in card it s $1.29 , if you choose extra cheese extra 25 cents.for every additional item there s some extra cents .I ordered 2 chicken and one steak, the chicken was super good but the tacos are so small (maybe 3 to feel okay not full) .Clean tables, nice waitress and in general good experience.I recommend to try on Tuesday and pay with cash .”
