“I’m a gluten free girl and it’s hard to find good dessert that’s gluten free and cheap. My mom had surprised me with a too good to go bag from here and OH MY GOD. I think probably the best cookies I’ve ever had. My favorite was the pecan Carmel, I think it was the best cookie. And would eat these everyday if I could. I live in the city so I’m not able to come here often. But next time I’m in the suburbs I’m headed here for sure!“

“The name is slightly misleading, as they are not open outside of hosting events.Saw a local artist there and was very impressed with the venue. Very atmospheric and with a pretty good sound system. They have good lighting and smoke effects as well.The venue does do a lot of shows and poetry and art stuff. So check their calendar to see what they offerOnly complaint is that the refreshments are pretty overpriced. However, they got you and what else are you going to do? The tea was actually very good however. “Walked in for Tłusty Czartek and it took about 10 mins in and out to grab a variety of pączki. The pączki variety were worth the price and they were bigger than usual and made really well. My favorite was was one with the edible floral pieces on top. I recommended.“

“We stopped in for a special treat. They had a good selection of donuts. The shop was decorated nicely and the man who was working there was inviting, helpful and nice. We decided on 6 donuts, Boston creams, pistachio, blueberry cheesecake, apple cider and bacon maple. We enjoyed them all! The prices are average for this type of shop and it does have a nice area to sit and eat if you want to do that. Overall, I recommend stopping in for a delicious donut. We will be going back whenever we are in Elmhurst again.“

I live close by, so when I crave something, it’s hard to just pick one thing and I end out getting a ton for my family and all our relatives. “The only struggle you will find with this place is the struggle of self control. They seem to know that red velvet donuts are my favorite because I always see two sheet trays full of them and then I always ask myself how much is too much?My boyfriend loves the crullers which they only do Wednesdays and Fridays I believe. It’s for the better though because he would easily gain 10 pounds….or 20.I know I created a monster when my sister woke up telling me that all she could think about were donuts. The only thing I am waiting for now is for someone to yell out “who ate the last donut?!” Luckily it hasn’t happened yet.I failed to post a photo because the donuts never make it that far. Sorry.“

Mrs Tina & Mrs Amy are just wonderful as a Team! Ordered some various Italian breads. The smell's made me hungry & reminded me of the old Italian Bakery's on Grand Ave (just before Ogden Avenue). “I really like this bakery. I mainly come in for the "Ojos de Buey" pastry - the outside is a pastry dough and the middle is yellow cake. Sweet, but not overly so, and perfect with a coffee. Their conchas are pretty good too, and the price can't be beat.“

I place my order at the front register with the owner or other staff. Her cafe latte is the perfect combination of milk and espresso. I also like her teas! I always order a quiche, if there are any left when I show up. My go-to is the spinach and cheese. The mushroom and Swiss is absolutely delicious and that’s is my favorite! I also get one of her fluffy, buttery croissants.If you dine in, like me, they will bring your order out to you in tea cups and coffee cups with saucers. The food is beautifully plated and service is great.I’ve never had anything bad at The Bakester and don’t ever think I will. They had a carrot cake cookie that I would say ok for $5 but their regular size cookies for that same price is where I'm not totally sold. Don't get me wrong, they taste really good. The carrot cake with a bit more nuts would be awesome, and I'm one of those that wants raisins with carrot cake. They were backwards when we went in and there was absolutely no way of knowing until they finally assisted us. So if they are backwards, flip them around and order.“

“Best pastries around!! My favs are the onion roll and the chocolate cream ones. We also always get the crustless bread. I've even gotten my daughter into loving the turtles. We also get the bun with the hot dog inside and a few others. I will say it does get crowded but it's goes relatively fast. And there are trays with tongs to grab the pastries yourself. The staff are super friendly and helpful and inside is cute with cute decor. Also get the tiramsu! Def would recommend to anybody and will always keep coming myself.“

“These days I'm not sure a bakery can really deliver everything one'd hope for in the past. Lezza has a great variety of bakery products, and you'll find some of them to be very reasonably priced. I love the lemon knot cookies and the Italian ice, and you'll find traditional cookies here too as well as danishes and donuts. There are very few independently owned places anymore with variety and low-cost options for treats and coffee, but this is one of them!“

They DEFINITELY deserve some tips after the crowds today so I gave up a $10 willingly ( ALWAYS LEAVE A TIP FOR STAFF AND MAKE THEIR LIFE A LITTLE EASIER WITH A LIVING WAGE ;) ).
