Great place.

Never got a chance to eat so can’t rate the food. It was a Monday night and we were traveling for business. After a long day of meetings we were hungry! Some ratings showed this restaurant held promise. We entered and the place appeared to be stuck in the 70s, seemingly with the same decor from when it was built in 1974.Was told by the Host the wait was 25-30 minutes so we went to the bar for a drink. We told the bartender we were waiting for a table and were just going to have a drink. He was overwhelmed and didn’t know how to make a Negroni (which is fine - just ask me, Google it or tell me you are out of one of the ingredients, but if you don’t know how to make a drink, don’t just make it up!).Several tables in the bar service area opened up and we just waited presuming they were being held for a reservation but the tables just remained open. The bartender put the tab in front of me and I said, we can cash out or keep it open if we are going to be seated at one of the 2 tables in his service area. He said, “OK, let’s just play it by ear then”. He interacted with the gentleman hosting 3 or 4 times and I presumed he was asking if we could be seated there but still we just waited, another 20 minutes and nothing. Another patron walks in and we hear the host tell him he can sit anywhere he likes and he said, “I’ll just sit at the bar”. Now we are hungry and frustrated. I grab the bill, throw down cash and walk out. Here is the best news!!!….. We went to Biaggi’s just a short distance away and the environment, service and food was all top notch! Ashley (“Chow”) was incredible! Biaggi’s is new and fresh and spacious with great food and compared to Cork and Cleaver’s 1970s decor and environment it was a big win for us after waiting on a losing, aged restaurant with employees who don’t seem to care.

First time eating here and I loved it. The salad bar was good. I had the bourbon glazed chicken and baked potato. All were perfect. The mud pie for dessert was delicious. Definitely will be returning. We had a table by the fireplace and it was perfect for this cold evening.Update. Had lunch there yesterday and the food and our servers was awesome. The place is dark and we were seated near a window so raised the blinds about 5 inches or so ... just enough to brighten up our table so we could see. No one else was seated near us. We go to get our salads and when we return the host is walking by saying sorry folks had to close the blinds because that's the way the owner likes it. My husband tells him we opened them to see and he said sorry but he kinda flips out about it and that's pretty much how it is. We didn't care for his approach or attitude and the way I see it is if you don't want folks messing with the blinds then turn the darn lights on and get them off dim.

This restaurant was incredible and I would award more than 5 stars if I could! Our server, Lisa was the best server we've had in a long time. Very cool and quiet atmosphere with a German vibe. Great salad bar, the mushrooms were fire and the black and Bleu salmon was amazing! I want to make a special trip to go back soon!

After struggling somewhat to make a reservation, I was not convinced that we made the right decision to go here, but our son is with us and this was a childhood favorite place for him for special occasions. I’m glad we did because it was a wonderful experience. We were greeted enthusiastically, the server was very attentive and made sure we had everything we wanted on a timely basis. The salad bar was very fresh with a variety of nice selections. Our ka-bobs and steaks were excellent! Very nice grade of meat and done perfectly to order. The place has not changed in 40 years, but was clean and fresh. Prices are reasonable in today’s market. We will definitely return soon!

This place was our first official stop in our eclipse trip to Evansville, Indianna. James was amazing at the bar, and we were able to get in and get amazing service, and exquisite food without reservations (keep that in mind if you look at this restaurant!) We stumbled upon it in a magazine at the hotel, was rated number one in 2023 and they weren't wrong. This establishment was classy, timeless, and has been around for a long time. 10/10 would definitely return if in the area, I mean, look at the menu. It is on a cleaver!

The food was delicious, I had the salmon with blue cheese sauce and their rice. The salmon was divine. Most of the time I regret ordering rice from America cuisine restaurants, but this rice is really flavorful and doesn’t taste like out of the box. The server never checked with me to see if I needed anything else , hence the 3 stars on the service.

We went in for my Birthday, and was welcomed at the door with a smile. We were given the opportunity to dine in the lounge or dining room. We sat in the lounge. We felt a little rushed in ordering our food, and the starter soup was almost cold. Overall, the atmosphere was pleasant, but the food could have been a little better.

Always top notch service and great food. Went recently to celebrate an anniversary. Easy to make reservations and got in on time. Salad bar is best in Evansville and offers a variety of options. Steaks are always delicious and cooked to order

We had reservations for four last night while in town for work. We were seated with Lisa and she could not have made our dinner more pleasing. She helped us with our meal choices and her attention to detail made for a wonderful first visit to your restaurant. I almost forgot the wonderfully stocked salad bar. Yum
