The ambiance was perfect. The food was top-notch, finally found a place that knows how to cook broccoli, not soft and soggy and not too firm. My wife loved the bread. The server was very friendly and helped to make the experience enjoyable.
Our first visit back in 26 years…a nostalgia trip for sure as memories of our previous visit were confirmed upon entering the facility. We arrived an hour after opening to get ahead of a Saturday night crowd and avoid any added pressure on the wait staff and cooks.Server was attentive and stopped back often so overall service was good.Appetizer order was placed and we had seen great reviews on bacon wrapped chicken livers. We went to Haub Steak House early, at 4 pm for my birthday. We had the place to ourselves for the first 50 minutes. We made a reservation and our server Kathy had a table set up for us. My husband got the Delmonico steak and he said it was very good; seasoned and cooked perfectly. I got the crab stuffed shrimp, which was very good. The salad was just basic but fresh.
