We arrived before the dinner rush but were set in a small section next to the bar....the table above us could look down at our table and so close we could each hear every word said. Just had hoped for more privacy. The ribeye meal was excellent and the chocolate dessert was even better. We had good service and the biggest fail was the appetizer we ordered was not brought out and when the meal came the server blamed it on the kitchen staff not preparing the appetizer or bringing it to us. Fingers crossed next visit we will get that appetizer!”

“Stopped by while staying overnight while driving. Warehouse in the middle of nowhere with great draft beer, relaxed atmosphere and very friendly people. Our dog loved playing in the dog park and being loved on by all passersby's. Great place to play cornhole, have a beer and relax with your dog buddy.”

“You just can't find a deal like this anymore. For $20 I got tea and enough sushi to put me in a coma. Is it the best sushi I've ever had? No. Is it the fanciest sushi I've ever had? No. But all in all it's a good variety and good quality. I was even surprised to see some sashimi. The noodle and fried rice dishes looked good as well, but I was focused on the sushi. It was after the peak lunch rush but service was extremely quick and friendly. This place is a heck of a deal.Kid-friendliness: The kids buffet was $6ish, but they had some kids choices like hotdogs and chicken fingers, as well as several noodle and rice dishes.”

“I'm not quite sure of the name - I saw it spelled Los Magueyes as well as Los Maguellas. It is a little hole in the wall (3 tables), but a real diamond in the rough. Not much ambiance, but this place serves up home made fresh Mexican food to die for! I hear the gorditas are great, but I went with the combination plate with burritos and tacos. I chose shredded beef with chipotle. The beef was tender and delicious. The burrito was huge, and the tacos very tasty. Their rice and beans were very good as well. The beans were very creamy and delicious. And the prices are great. Of course, they have real Mexican Coke with sugar too.”

“I have been to Krispy Krunchy several times and love it. The food is always yummy and my wait is always short. The service and employees are always friendly and courteous. The one time I was waiting a bit longer than usual, they offered me drinks and we're apologetic. I declined (I wasn't really waiting long at all) but I was thankful they offered. I will definitely be returning and enjoying some more of their yummy food.”

We were brought some of the best salsa and chips whiled we waited. When our food came out that's where things started going down hill. My friend ordered the steak chicken and shrimp fajitas. You could see the steak but the were only 2 shrimp and a couple of strips of chicken and some steak loaded with red peppers. He said there was not any flavor to them at all. I got the burrito with ground beef, potatoes and cheese. I modified it from eggs, chorizo and potatoes. There was absolutely no flavor and it was so dry you could barely swallow it. The hamburger had no seasoning, it looked like just dry crumbled up meat the tortilla wasn't even warm. Don't know if I would go back except for the margaritas.Vegetarian options: Beans and rice dishes.”

“Burger Stand has been an institution in Lawrence KS, and the location in Topeka lives up to its sister location. My favorite is the classic burger (has white cheddar, tomato, lettuce, onion) on a side salad. I never eat buns so this is the perfect situation. Truffle fries are probably my favorite- they're always crispy and cooked as they're ordered. And don't forget the dipping sauces! All kinds of flavors available!”

I came back in August for my birthday with a group and she brought all of our food in to go containers because she "just assumed". I felt incredibly unwelcomed by this and a burden. I've still been back multiples times with many other waitresses and was never treated this way. for the most part I absolutely lovw the reat of the staff. I came back tonight and have to listen to her talk badly about customes. Have to listen to the bartender tell her what she could be cleaning on her down time while she turns around and makes a remark and a smirk. Get rid of that one!”

“I cannot recommend Shana cakes enough! my husband surprised me with a cake for my 30th birthday. He had difficulty finding a bakery near us that could make a gluten free cake, he called and messaged several bakeries and no one would get back with him except for Shana cakes. They were super understanding and accommodating. The cake was AMAZING. I was diagnosed with celiac disease a year ago and cake was one of the big things I missed. Not anymore, this was just as good as any gluten containing cake I've ever had. It was so delicious, I can't wait to order another one!”

“This lounge is in the basement of the local VFW. It's within walking distance of my home and in a fantastic neighborhood. They have a great selection of fun cocktails and regularly hold events like karaoke and live music. They also serve food, the Taco Tuesday is pretty popular. Their hours are hit and miss because it's understandably based on business demand so there may be times you show up but they've closed early or plan to close early. They have a big New Year's event and depending on the event it can get pretty busy. Come out and enjoy this great little spot with exceptional service. It's definitely a hidden gem!”

“Placed a take out order here and tried a new dish. I arrived early and was asked to take a seat while my order was finished. Multiple staff asked if I wanted a water or anything else while I waited, so I was impressed by the staff and their service. I ordered the biscuits and gravy special, while my friend ordered the full biscuits and gravy, then added eggs and hash browns. My meal was perfect on the portion size; enough to feel full, but not lethargic. Her meal looked amazing, but would have resulted in a nap afterward for me if I'd ordered it. The hash browns and eggs were good, but the biscuits and gravy stood out. I'll keep exploring the menu, but would definitely order this dish again.”

Generous portions on the dinner Pho and the 2 summer rolls are a good size too. As other have mentioned the hours are really spotty and it's hard to rely on them being open when you're craving some Vietnamese. I hope they get to a comfort level that they reopen their dining room, but with costs rising it might be easier for them to be drive through only. I just hope they can make it! The only decent chicken Pho I can find in the area! One star off for the hours being inconsistent.”

Wanted some fajitas remember that on the border has some very good fajitas with this very good tasting garlic sauce. Looked at the menu seen that the fajitas were almost $10 more than what they normally cost but that's okay I'm treating myself. Place my order get,my order, noticed my shrimp we're just still attends to light pink for me so I asked the waitress if she could take them back and put them on the grill for maybe a couple more minutes. She told me that I could just put them on the plate and they will cook. ??I was not only pissed because, she said what she said..but how you gonna tell me how to eat my food when I'm paying for it..!!! After I kind of looked at her for a second, then said okay she walked away in another waitress came and I asked that waitress if she could get the manager for me. She did, the manager Tim came over it was very polite. I told him what happened he apologized and asked if I wanted him to take the shrimp back to be cooked or just get another thing of shrimp, at that point I just was over it and I said just take the shrimp off so he said he would adjust the price of my meal and I continue eating my meal which was not good at all. the Quality is not the same , chicken pork dried out the steak was ok, but that Garlic butter which was the main reason why I use to get the fajitas... I posted what it looked like???.Will not be returning...”

“I actually haven't had their coffee at this location. But I would recommend highly for somebody to go to scooters because I actually love their coffee and their service there. And the foods or snack foods or breakfast type foods that they do have the few that I have had from them are okay. But because of my allergies there's not much I can get from them.”

“This is the Taco Tico in North Topeka. It's an older style building but the service is remarkable and even though I had to wait about 5 mins before they could take my order through drive thru, the food was hot, fresh, and tasty as always. I love anything Taco Tico and my favourite item is the Delux Taco Burger that has sour cream and green onions added. The toastadas are also good and so are the crunchy Tacos. Just thinking about Taco Tico has me craving some more of it. I always go to this one when in Topeka and will be going back again soon.”

“This is one of my favorite Hooters locations. Love the fire pit outside with all of the outdoor seating. The wings here are delicious. Either bone in wings or boneless (way bigger than BWW wings!) Try ordering your wings “daytona” style! You won’t regret it! Great service every time, same cooks for years so the food is consistently good. I wish Hooters would bring back the potato salad though, it was good.”
