Friendly staff, quick service and great selection of beers. Many options for fries. I got your standard plain fry. They were cooked perfectly. Where it fell short for me was the burger, too much bun and scarcely any burger. Overwhelming amount of onions, more onions than burger content and two tiny pieces of lettuce. Burger Stand has been an institution in Lawrence KS, and the location in Topeka lives up to its sister location. My favorite is the classic burger (has white cheddar, tomato, lettuce, onion) on a side salad. I never eat buns so this is the perfect situation. Truffle fries are probably my favorite- they're always crispy and cooked as they're ordered. And don't forget the dipping sauces! All kinds of flavors available!
