“What a find! From the moment I tasted the samosas/sambusas, I was hooked. Each bite was a burst of flavor. The mandazi, crepe like delicacy, alongside perfectly cooked chapati, tender lamb, savory goat meat and the cheerful customer service, which made the experience all the more enjoyable. I left not just with a large order to savor later, but with the satisfaction of having discovered a gem!“

“I used to live in West Africa and when this restaurant opened, I was right there and not disappointed. The first bite of acheke brought back a flood of memories of sitting at a roadside restaurant and eating fish with acheke in the haze and heat and the bustling city all around. The quality is excellent, the fish is a good size (watch for bones!), and you will be filled up. Everything is cooked to order so be patient as it takes time. My only complaint? It's a little expensive. With tax and tip, it's a shade over $30. But it's worth it. I only knocked it a star due to price. Everyone, try it at least once. West Africa has so many flavors of food and she knows how to make them!“

“Clean, very friendly staff. I’m (African) American and I don’t really like African food, it’s usually too spicy or too dry or foreign (cow feet soup, lamb). After eating here, I have completely changed my mind. As we say in the hood, ‘it’s poppin’. We waited about 25 or so minutes but it was worth the wait.Vegetarian options: The jollof rice has onions and peppers in it. Very delicious.“

“Unassuming spot inside a Somali market with multiple vendors. Menu was straightforward and made ordering easy. We chose the chicken and beef suqaar, fries and lentil soup for our family or 5. The owner was so friendly and made our time feel special, he even made soup fresh for us when he knew we were hoping to order it - a yellow lentil soup with so much flavor! So glad to have stopped on our drive between Nashville and Indianapolis!Dietary restrictions: Everything was Halal and great gluten-free options“
