“As someone with only a slight grasp of Spanish AND slightly hard of hearing in noisy places, I recommend this place. The staff I encountered spoke English, so don't let a language barrier stop you from trying them. The Cuban sandwiches and yuca frites are the best in town. The portions are generous. The desserts are gorgeous! Prices are reasonable. It's hard to see from Fern Valley Road, so don't miss it! It's hidden behind the used car lot at the southern corner of Fern Valley and Shepherdsville Road.“

As a nearby graduate student, I wish they would stay open until 10 p.m.“

“I cannot begin to say how pleased I was with the cookies that Kathy did for my daughter's PhD celebration! It was an unusual theme - Chemistry - and she absolutely hit it out of the park. From coming up with the ideas to the actual production. I mean, cookies with labcoats, atoms, flasks? She thought of it all. And then to top it off, they were beautifully and artfully decorated. Kathy went above and beyond my expectations and I wholeheartedly recommend her services.“

“We have worked with Glow Worm the past two years to offer families the opportunity to take photos with Santa. Both Katie, her staff and EC Carver Photography are always a pleasure to work with. We enjoy the business model they bring to the community. The #1 thing that I love about working with Katie (business owner) and Elizabeth (photographer) is they allow me to be Santa, however long that takes. If a little child during a Santa session needs extra time, guidance, or patient, everyone allows me to be Santa and work my magic. Every visit that I have is the most important one of the day. And they make that happen.“

“This place is amazing! It’s a hidden gem for sure. I recently located here from Ohio and I’ve grown up with European food like Cevappi and luckily enough I looked into this place after my work bought some of their pastries for breakfast and they were jaw dropping! I instantly could tell this place was all homemade amazing food. I searched their menu after tasting their delightful pastries and saw they had Cevappi and I knew I had to try it. The smell of the homemade bread is so filling and made me so happy. The Cevappi are soooo good with the onion and the homemade sauce with dill is so buttery and garlic. Definitely will be going back for more ☺️“

Crumbl is unique in the sense that their menu changes every week with a new selection of tasty cookies, so if the selection one week is not your favorite you can come back another week and try their newest assortment. Quick service in and out in no time at all and the ability to self order via computer makes the process go that much quicker. The wait is short and the cookies are the bomb! Overall, 5/5.“

“Alright... time to give it up and announce my number 1 place to get ropa vieja is now La Palma!Seriously, I can be rather picky about ropa vieja but I gobbled this one right up. The flavors were there and the texture was amazing. I find sometimes if it cooks too long it can become *too fine*. This however was perfectly shredded. Now the black beans.... Absolutely delicious. They arnt my favorite I've ever had but they will be taking the #2 spot. I prefer soup-y beans and this was just the right consistency.You may have noticed I got white rice.... It's honestly because I wanted to be able to eat it with the beans & ropa vieja without the flavors interfering. There were two other options, and perhaps I'll try them in the future, but this time I was glad I got plain white.The building is located off Preston and has a smaller parking lot, but usually has a few spots open. there was some seating inside but i chose to grab it and go. I noticed a cute neon sign with the name, i wish i would've grabbed a picture! thats okay.. it gives me an excuse to come back sooner;)Last thoughts: Best ropa vieja Ive ever had. Finally got to try Smør after a few years of following them on Facebook since I made it to town. We tried the Cinnamon knots and Lingonberry knots and they were even better than what we had while visiting Sweden and Finland! We brought home lefse and Finnish Pulla. Can’t wait to try those! If you are in the area, please support this awesome bakery. The gift shop was great too! We bought some Swedish blueberry jam and Lingonberry jam which looked exactly like we brought back with us from Sweden.“

The communication was speedy, friendly, and detailed from start to finish. I gave the cake artist a theme (Bluey) and a lot of creative freedom. She did not disappoint!The appearance of the cake and cookies was stunning and received so many compliments. My daughter loved it. We chose almond cake with raspberry filling. The cake was decadent with just the perfect amount of almond and the raspberry filling was fresh and delicious. The cookies were very intricate and delicious.To note, we picked up our order on Thursday morning for a party on Saturday and both the cake and cookies tasted like they had been baked Saturday morning, which was amazing.Thank you for a wonderful first experience!
