“This place is amazing. I actually forgot to take pictures because I was too distracted talking to the owner about the amazing atmosphere and Ethiopian language and his experiences as an immigrant in the US and his very fancy coffee machine that he was very proud of ("the Telsla of coffee makers", he called it! He showed me how it works, and it is - in fact - the Tesla of coffee machines). So not only was the service and atmosphere absolutely inviting, the quality of human interaction I experienced was remarkable. I spent a full hour just talking and asking questions and getting to know the people working that day. Also - they have a printer available for anyone to use (pay like $.15/page or something) - all you have to do is email them and tell them "hey im having this printed and I'm going to come get it in half an hour" - which is such a thoughtful service to offer, especially for those of us who dont have a home printer but still need to be able to print resumes and school assignments or various forms required for daily adult life. So - if you're just looking for a great cup of coffee or a tasty treat, I would highly recommend this place. My medium coffee and baklava (a generous serving) came out to $11 - very reasonably priced. If you are looking to connect with new people and experience a sense of community and perhaps indulge in a bit of cultural exchange, in addition to enjoying a delicious coffee, I can assure you that you wont be disappointed at Abol Cafe.“

“Long been my personal favorite brunch in town. Went for mother's day and took my 6y.o. son for the first time, he rated it 200/200 and cleaned his plate. So it's official. The OJ is expensive but fresh as can be and blew my kid's mind. Well done breakfast staples, blue dog bread, good drinks.“

Breakfast platter was so tasty, with delicious cheese, walnuts, olives, cream, honey, ect. loved the saffron tea and Iranian traditional saffron ice cream (with plenty of pistachios). “I decided to try this coffee place which is in Hotel Marty. It's a small space with chairs and tables. Since it was December, they had some holiday themed drinks and I tried the white Christmas which is a white chocolate mocha and cinnamon flavor. They were doing some construction work at the time but it's a nice little place to catch up with friends and relax!“

“Had a wonderful lunch! Our waitress, Kat, was so lovely. Two of our party thoroughly enjoyed the mini hot browns and it was so nice to have a smaller portion option (but let's be honest- it was still huge!!). We didn't realize the weekend was a buffet, but it was delicious. Fantastic salads, cheeses,salmon was perfect, and I loved my made to order omelet. We enjoy the business model they bring to the community. The #1 thing that I love about working with Katie (business owner) and Elizabeth (photographer) is they allow me to be Santa, however long that takes. If a little child during a Santa session needs extra time, guidance, or patient, everyone allows me to be Santa and work my magic. Every visit that I have is the most important one of the day. And they make that happen.“

“I appreciate this coffeehouse for, the history the most. You could feel the pride when you walked in and the way staff interacted with regulars, you could tell it was a long standing tradition. It’s always wonderful to see gluten free options. We purchased the apple oat scone, the chicken salad sandwich with potato salad and two advertised seasonal drinks. The potato salad was the most flavorful and the chicken salad didn’t taste as if it had seasoning. Everyone does prepare their differently. The tree arch outside was wonderful to sit under and I couldn’t easily enjoy that and tea if we visit again.“

“First time at the new Fern Creek location. The shopping center it's in can be a bit busy, but the restaurant is nice, service was fast & friendly, & food was great. Definitely glad to have a location closer to home.Parking: It's in a big shopping center with several buildings, including a Starbucks & McDonald's, so traffic can get heavy during peak hours & you might not get a spot close. But the parking lot itself is big, so you might have to park further down & walk.“

They gave me a bag of free tacos and 2 cinnamon rolls because they had extras from the day they didn’t want to let go to waste!
