“We tried China Coast before 2020, and it was very good. Small location, take-out only, and delivery. At some point, we'd heard a rumor they had closed. Finally confirmed they were indeed open for business, so we ordered. Ordered General's Chicken and S&S Shrimp. Got an extra egg roll as well. While the bill was $23, the portions were large, and more than we could finish. Everything was hot fresh and very good. Called the order in on the way home work, thought I'd gotten there way early, but they were finishing up as I walked in. We will definitely order from them again!!“

“This place is incredible. Like the old time Chinese restaurants of the 70s/80s. I had a pork egg roll which came three homemade sauces to choose from but I only needed the hot mustard. It was perfect. My main dish was Sichuan Beef and Shrimp with fried rice. There were various levels of spicy. I told them to try and hurt me. They smashed it! Perfect spice level. Fresh vegetables. Best food I've eaten out in a long time. I travel for work and will definitely be back next month. Enjoy.“

“Cute little Chinese place. Good was definitely fresh and delicious. It comes with fried rice with nothing added.I ate in but was disappointed that I still got my meal in a to go container with plastic flatware. There only atmosphere was a large, loud, big screen TV sitting on one of the tables.All in all, I would do takeout again but not ready in.“

Their food is always fresh and delicious, they have great prices and large portions. “This is a great little restaurant ! They have a hot braised chicken dish, that you can't find anywhere. I ate this same dish at a place for decades, that is no longer open. To say I had high hopes for it, is a an understatement. I was not disappointed. The Lo mein was also spectacular. The service was quick and polite. The food here is still better than anything they had there.The crab rangoon is still the best I've ever had, with plenty of crab flavor. The prices are hard to beat. One thing, the chicken fried rice did have a little too much oil flavor..like old oil.(unless its a spice im not placing).not a fan. Egg Foo young was delicious and chicken on a stick.I live right down the street from this place. I take my children there all the time. The food is delicious, and always fresh! They cook to order, its not something thats been sitting around back there forever. There is no buffet, so i have no idea what the other reviewer is talking about. Its always clean, and so are the restrooms(who cares what they look like as long as they are clean). The crab rangoon is fantastic! If you want great chinese food in the southend this is the place to go!“

There is plenty of parking back there.Wheelchair accessibility: They have wheel chair accessibility in the parking lot and the entrance. You will probably need someone to hold the door open for you when you go in. I went in there on crutches one time. I had a little trouble with the door.“

“I love Thai food and have been to many good Thai places across the country throughout my travels. I don't know how much I can speak to authenticity, but I know what my tongue and palette like . At Simply Thai, I got the chicken pineapple fried rice and chicken kaow soi, both spice level 3 (out of 5). I liked the pineapple fried rice. It was very good and came in a pineapple which was cool. Portion size was decent too. The kaow soi was alright. The curry was quite watery and the noodles were wheat noodles. This kept it from really picking up the tastes of the curry, which made it a little blander than I would have liked. Simply Thai is always busy, but the servers are very nice and attentive despite the busyness. It's got a lot of seating, but once again is always busy, so you have to go early to beat the rush! They do, however, usually have extra seating available at the bar even if you don't order a drink, as long as you're over 21. The restaurant has a great environment with a lot of cultural decorations that spice up the place. All in all, Simply Thai is simply a good place to go for some good Thai food, as long as you don't mind a wait!“

“We ordered two entrees from Door Dash. A completely different entree was sent instead of one of the ones ordered. We called the restaurant and they worked with Door Dash to make it right. They went above and beyond, making sure that we had extras and we knew how sorry they were for the mistake. Door Dash took quite awhile to deliver it but that wasn’t Happy Dragon’s fault. “This was our favorite "shitty" Chinese. It is not shitty at all. The pieces of pork in the fried rice take it to the next level. Service was quick even though the restaurant was super busy. We were able to talk to another patron that has been coming here for 40+ years. That kind of loyalty is amazing. I get it though. The egg roll was hot, crispy, and delicious. Even after a 15 minute drive home. We ordered general tsos and it was delicious as expected. I'm excited to return to taste the spicier dishes. Highly recommend!“

“They had an A rating on the glass window and other than a table that needed cleaning up, it was fine from all I could see; bathroom included. Had the mixed vegetables in brown sauce with white rice and really enjoyed it.The vegetables were served in their own container with a top in it to keep hot. The rice was on a Styrofoam place of its own.Unfortunately, when we each ordered water, we weren't initially told they had no machine or tap water as their soft drink dispenser was broken. We paid for bottled water. He was nice enough to let me have a second bottle as I drink a lot of H2O these days. Hot braised chicken is made just they made it at that great little Chinese takeout place on Broadway back in the 80s-90s. Oriental Star still has the big eggrolls. Seems like all of the restaurants serve teeny-tiny eggrolls with a stingy amount of cabbage. Call in your order and it's ready in about 15mins. Lunch special is two meals for me. “I love the ease of ordering it online. You have the option to pay at the store. The food is always ready by the time I get there. It is a large portion of food. Usually 2 meals for me. If you get a combination meal you get an entree, fried rice, an eggroll, and a canned drink all for the one price. It is definitely a take out place. No seating to speak of really. “Me and my fiance played a little game. She swore there was a better Chinese restaurant. We chose 3 other restaurants with 4 stars on Google and ordered generals General Tsos chicken combos from each. We picked them all up and put them in an insulated bag. I called 10 minutes before arriving at each. Each one made me wait 5 minutes or more after I arrived EXCEPT Chong Garden. They was ready when I arrived. As far as prices they were all comparable but Chong Gardens container was a microwavable plastic one containing more food than the others.When we got home we did a blind taste test. We rated each restaurants fried rice, egg roll, and chicken on a scale from 1-10. Chong garden scored the highest from all of them. 2 of them was completely disgusting and tastes“

I been avoiding the place because it is so small and unassuming. I called in an order for pepper steak, sesame chicken, and lo mein. For real the best lo mein Ive had in a while. “The food at this place is usually good when we order it to go. It arrives very fast despite ordering through door dash. The only thing I am not a fan of is the hibachi.
