No food is served other than snacks, but this bar is surrounded by lots of tasty places to grab a good bite. I actually forgot to take pictures because I was too distracted talking to the owner about the amazing atmosphere and Ethiopian language and his experiences as an immigrant in the US and his very fancy coffee machine that he was very proud of ("the Telsla of coffee makers", he called it! He showed me how it works, and it is - in fact - the Tesla of coffee machines). So not only was the service and atmosphere absolutely inviting, the quality of human interaction I experienced was remarkable. I spent a full hour just talking and asking questions and getting to know the people working that day. Also - they have a printer available for anyone to use (pay like $.15/page or something) - all you have to do is email them and tell them "hey im having this printed and I'm going to come get it in half an hour" - which is such a thoughtful service to offer, especially for those of us who dont have a home printer but still need to be able to print resumes and school assignments or various forms required for daily adult life. So - if you're just looking for a great cup of coffee or a tasty treat, I would highly recommend this place. My medium coffee and baklava (a generous serving) came out to $11 - very reasonably priced. If you are looking to connect with new people and experience a sense of community and perhaps indulge in a bit of cultural exchange, in addition to enjoying a delicious coffee, I can assure you that you wont be disappointed at Abol Cafe.“

The staff I encountered spoke English, so don't let a language barrier stop you from trying them. The Cuban sandwiches and yuca frites are the best in town. The portions are generous. The desserts are gorgeous! Prices are reasonable. It's hard to see from Fern Valley Road, so don't miss it! It's hidden behind the used car lot at the southern corner of Fern Valley and Shepherdsville Road.“

“I had a fantastic experience with Endless Summer paddleboard company. It was a lot of fun, provided a great workout, and gave me the chance to meet some wonderful people. The owner was exceptionally friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend this place for an enjoyable paddleboarding adventure!“

“My friend and I came here after having a late lunch. I will say this location is not quite what we were expecting. All 3 Louisville locations are unique in their own way but, this one takes the cake. It look like a very big 2 story house. Inside which was upstairs was basically a bar area and small seating area. We ordered our beers and ventured downstairs. It doesn't seem like a brewery environment it just seems like a nice restaurant which it isn't. They also have bathrooms upstairs and downstairs. We chilled downstairs and watched some football. There were also board games down there as well. The only difference between this and the other 2 locations is that they don't have a Mozza Pi pizza here. There is the Village Anchor and a bar called the Sea Hag next to the place. Not having a Mozza Pi was a kicker. This is a very beautiful place and it feels like home in a way. Will we be back? Most likely.“

“I decided to try this coffee place which is in Hotel Marty. It's a small space with chairs and tables. Since it was December, they had some holiday themed drinks and I tried the white Christmas which is a white chocolate mocha and cinnamon flavor. They were doing some construction work at the time but it's a nice little place to catch up with friends and relax!“

“I love their rotating Cider selection, and I tend to get food from the pizza place next door or a snack from the cat cafe nearby and bring it over! Plenty of seating, the bartenders are really nice, and they have trivia on Wednesday! Dog and child friendly too, and they have some board games to borrow and play. “After eyeing this place for MONTHS I finally ate here and it is by far my favorite food truck in this area. I had the marinated pork, fried pork, and chorizo tacos with spicy salsa and they were amazing. The meat is tender and flavorful and the price is SO reasonable! When I stopped by, they were pretty busy (3+ people ahead of me) and I got my order really quickly! I WILL be going back!“

She had never had the smoked wings before. We also got the bread pudding for dessert. It was fantastic. The wings as always were plump juicy and smoked to perfection. “A local watering hole. A staple. Bambi is a legend and you can't say you've been to the Highlands unless you've been to Bambi for a drink or burger or better yet the "Bambi Walk". Always good service and a fun crowd! Do yourself a favor and make a trip, and liven up any afternoon or evening!“

“Popped into this establishment on a whim. Heard a song I liked and seemed like great ambiance. It was a rainy midweek evening and ended up staying many hours. The bartender Michael made excellent Old Fashioned. We enjoyed it so much and told they were having an event on Friday and invited us to come back. So we did. Now on a Friday it was far more lively even though it was another rainy night, and the great cocktails continued. They had a really great selection of bourbons as well which was a nice surprise. They also have a patio bar in the front of the building and had one last drink while waiting for our Uber.“

We weren't greeted by anyone and had no clue where to sit or how to order drinks or food. We finally asked one of the staff members and got it all figured out. The food was absolutely delicious and the staff was very friendly! The bingo event was so much fun and we won a bunch of really cool prizes! We will definitely be returning!“

When the bill came, it included a surcharge of approximately 3%. When I asked about it, I was told it was a credit card processing fee. For six people and required gratuity of 20%, my bill was close to $400, feels tacky for the owners to be charging a credit card processing fee. For what was an otherwise pleasant experience, it left a bad taste in my mouth.“

“Great place to hang out and drink in Louisville. They are open late. Good music, can get crowded on the weekend. The open patio is great. We didn't eat there, I don't know if they offer food because this is definitely a place for drinking and not eating.“
