We were out on the lovely patio, a little more quiet. The Chef/Owner was very thoughtful and stopped by our table. The food was excellent—one of our best meals since moving from Dallas to Knoxville. We are going back multiple times.
We decided to try The Fat Lamb based on a reccomendation from a friend and the accolades from Chooped & James Beard Foundation. The ambiance was solid and our service staff was personable as well as knowledgeable. For appetizers we got the Lamb Meatballs, Whipped Feta, Gnocchi, & Fried Atrichoke Hearts. If I could give it more stars, I would. This restaurant was one of the culinary highlights of our Derby trip. We stumbled upon this restaurant 30 minutes before the door sign said they closed. This did not stop any of the staff from offering us excellent service. We had a 4 course meal and had personal recommendations from the beverage manager.
