“My husband and I both enjoyed our entrees. The chili was cold and lacked seasoning. The only time our server smiled was when she brought us our bill. I asked if I could sub the Chef’s Vegetables for a side salad, and she said yes, no problem. Then, when I got the bill, I noticed that she charged me an extra $3.00 for the salad. I was very close to asking for my veg's to go since I paid for them but decided not to sink to her level.”

“Went on 2/10/24. We had a blast. The service was great, the food out of this world, and the atmosphere welcoming. I got the chicken wrap, and it never disappoints. My husband got the calzone, and loved it.We were laughing a LOT but the servers were nice about it. We were having a great time.We are from central Kentucky and go to Newport a couple times a year for a getaway.Stop in and get yourself some great food and great service!”

“Chicken Marsala was hot, tasty, full of flavor. Sliced bread and garlic butter was delicious. Meatball casserole was great. Red sauce is really flavorful with a touch of sweet. Pomp.salad out did itself and could be a meal on its own. Manhattan was good, mixed well. Good selection of wines.Parking: Lot is small, but street parking is close. At capacity, it would be difficult to park in the lot.”

“The day bartender is great. I came in and got my beer and she offered me some food. I wasn't hungry but I couldn't pass up the hotdogs on the rollergrill and chili. She had all the fixings. Think it's cool that she looks out for customers like that. Thumbs up to a nice bar with nice staff.”

“Butch's was great! We went there for the 1st time for a few beers and to watch some football. We were sitting at a bar and a man came and introduced himself- Butch. He was very friendly and funny and talked to us for 3 hours. It's a bar filled w locals - very friendly people - Butch introduced us to all of them. It felt like we were at Cheers and was a very fun scene. Carla (bartender) was super attentive and the drinks were inexpensive. And Butch provides a spread on game days. - we had wings from Webb's (delicious!), meatballs and queso - all on the house! It was a great experience and we will def go back! Thanks Butch!J&J”

“Came in from out of town and found this place. Love everything about it! It's like a hometown local type of bar.... met great people! The bartenders were amazing!! Cory and T made us feel like we were family!! Food was even better then anything we had down here!! Smoked wings on Wednesday were fire!!! They opened at 11 and was sold out by 1230pm! “My wife and I had a wonderful evening, and Dan was a great server. He took care of our every need, and left us alone to enjoy our dinner together. Our food was absolutely delicious, my mushroom ravioli, my wife's chicken ala vodka pasta, and our carpaccio appetizer. The only complaint we would have is, there were way too many papers on the carpaccio, it was completely covered, and we missed the balsamic drizzle they used to put on it. However, it was an amazing evening, and delicious food. Can't wait to come back. Thank you Dan!”

“Charming old world home with Sicilian brick oven! The team was wonderful and very friendly. I travel frequently and always seek out small brick oven pizza's to try. I am excited to say that this is now my new favorite! The ingredients were fresh and plentiful and the crust is outstanding! It is an easy walk from Newport Aquarium, which means I will be going again and again. The cannoli pie is a great way to finish up the meal and will not disappoint. The owners were there and engaging and so welcoming!”

“Jot is my go-to take out Indian spot in the Cincy area. This hidden gem is in a strip mall in Newport and never disappoints. Chicken tikka masala and chicken makhani are excellent and their garlic naan is very tasty.”

“Really good classic American breakfast and lunch. Been here several times, they're part market part casual restaurant. You order at the front before sitting, so there's often a long line out the door on weekends. However it moves quickly and this is just because of the format of ordering they almost always have plenty of seats once you order. Their coffee is great, espresso beverages are the best; cold brew is decent. Their bowls and salads are fresh, flavorful and large enough for two meals. Never had a bad experience here!”

“Really nice coffee shop with balanced lattes. I had the lavender latte w/ oat milk (in video) recently, and it was great. Plenty of seating so this would be a great place to work, but it does get busy! They also have some fun specials throughout the year. My friend recently loved their pot o' gold latte.”

“O'Bryons is the epitome neighborhood bar and restaurant in Newport. Service is courteous, friendly and timely. The bartender is very helpful and knowledgeable of the menu and drinks. Food is above average while being prepared well and fresh. The chicken wrap and chicken wings were tasty. Prices are reasonable for the area. Parking is a bit of a challenge with it all being street parking. Overall a good experience and worth trying out.”

“Coaches corner is the best place. It's so much fun & the food is delicious!! The service is EXCELLENT!! You won't find a better local hangout! “We were traveling from Louisville KY to home in Akron Ohio. We were craving some bbq! We found Beards and Belly and went to check it out. We were so happy we did! Food was AMAZING!! Their recipe for greens, potato salad and pickle salad were the best we’ve ever had!! BBQ was AMAZING! Brisket, pork belly and sausage! It was definitely finger licking good!! The atmosphere and the jolly bearded guys were so friendly too!We will be back!”

“My family was visiting Newport Aquarium and after we left we found Mad Mike’s to eat. We ordered 2 of the Big Tex burgers and chicken tenders. These were the best burgers we have ever had and my son loved the chicken tenders. The service was great and the employee we encountered was amazing.”

“This needs to be a must stop. The beers stout to sours are very good. The Brussel sprouts, crispy tenders and garlic fries are perfectly prepared. Then there's the view, ? right beside the purple bridge. Inside and outside seating is nice.”

“Normally there are 3 types of options and they are all delicious. Especially the gyro was very delicious. There is traditional Turkish baklava that you can eat after your meal. pistachio baklava . and incredibly delicious, especially with the tea they serve. The best flavors of New Port are found here. You should definitely try it. The owner and staff are very friendly and take good care of the customers.”

“We're always looking for a new coffee place and this one has a different vibe than most. Inside a bike shop, there's plenty to look at while you wait, but there's only a few seats. It's best suited for a party of two or less. They sell North South Baking pastries, so you can't lose. They offer waffles that look delicious, but haven't tried them yet.”

“Great place for date night with my wife! The clams were to die for. The Cuban beers were good strong beers. We sat outside where we could enjoy the scenery. The outside seating definitely made it a relaxing atmosphere. Will definitely return. Gracias por el servicio y la comida tan sabrosa ”

“Ordered pick up pizza and breadsticks. Got the pepperoni in paradise. The food was good for the price although there weren't many pepperonis on the pizza. Pizza was ready when I arrived 20 minutes after ordering. I would go again to eat inside.”

“First time visit to 927 Reserve and I was very impressed. The atmosphere is outstanding with cool finishes inside and a nice sitting area outside with firepit. Live music from the Shadwell Band was awesome. Great selection of bourbons and the bartenders were on top of their game. Great place to hang with friends or watch a game.”

Homemade mole sauce was to die for. Burritos were stuffed and all the ingredients were fresh. The salsa had just the right amount of heat and loads of cilantro. The ambiance was awesome with the store in the back and the eclectic décor and different levels and whatnot. There was a couple celebrating their anniversary who invited their waiter to take a shot, and he did. It felt like having dinner with my extended family. If you're in the area, I highly recommend it. Worth the walk away from the Levee.”

Not a place for getting wild a place to enjoy relax an have a drink with friends the people that come here average around 50 years old . Come relax and enjoy! There is a pizza parlor next door if you get hungry and you can bring it in.”

“I really wasn’t going to comment or post anything but the situation has stuck with me through the weekend and I feel as I should. I will post on an anonymous account as I’m not sure they might recognize me. I don’t know who this will reach, I hope it is the correct people. As I was dining in this week, there seemed to be a misunderstanding with a food item a young women at the bar was eating. From what I learned after the commotion, the kitchen lady didn’t feel like or maybe she was unable to do a task the bartender asked of her. The bartender seemed to be nice about the situation but the cook lady was not! She not only shouted at the bartender angrily but also into the restaurant for everyone to hear. Which in turn seemed to fluster and embarrass that poor young girl. It was very disrespectful and very childish if you ask me the way the cook lady acted. Later shortly after that the cook lady then came out of the kitchen shouting loudly again that “yes I did scream at her, I did” like she was proud to be acting so trashy in the workplace. The bartender on the other hand was very calm and professional and I can’t say I would of been myself if I was spoken to that way. I would not of blamed her if she hadn’t been so adult about it in my opinion. There was another bartender there that didn’t seem to participate in the rant but did mumble something about crazy something or other. That cook lady should be let go. Never experienced anything like that from a restaurant before!”

“This was not my first time at a Hot Head Burritos but it was my first time in a while. The Newport location was fantastic. We had 7 people in our party and we all loved our food. I had a toasted burrito. The sauce that I chose was the southwest ranch and will definitely get it again. Unlike other burrito locations, Hot Head offers a lot of sauces/flavor options. The staff were all friendly and attentive. I am glad that we chose to go there and will become regulars. Thank you for great food and service.”

“I visit this Starbucks location on my way to work every weekday morning when they are keeping up with a high volume of orders. My coffee is always consistent and the service is personalized. Shame on me that I don’t know the names of these employees (I believe managers) but the gentleman with glasses and the woman with blonde hair always shout “have a great day Michael” no matter where they are in the store. I work in the hospitality industry as a hotel GM and those small touch points go a long way. Kudos to the team at this location!”

“I have been dining at Pepper Pod for literally 40 years. It's a staple. I hadn't been for a while but was glad to have stopped by recently. Still a great place. It's not 5-Star cuisine as you can imagine. However, it's still one of my favorite spots. The Maxi Club is my favorite.”

“We went here on my Birthday in 2022 before a river cruise. The bar area is very cozy. The drinks, especially the Bloody Mary and the Dancing Bear, are both pictured here. There's a pool table and a nice patio area. The restrooms are in the back and are acceptable but not glamorous.”

If you're picky about your oat milk like I am, they use Oatly (a MAJOR plus for me!)I only knocked off a star because it was a bit expensive for what it is.
