“Have worked at UC for a long time and ashamed to say that I just tried Cincy Gourmet Deli this week (I remember the old one and it was dirty and gross). I'm assuming it has new owners, but regardless, I'm impressed. It was clean and had food and beverages nicely displayed. I tried the chopped cheese sandwich and it was delicious. Will definitely go back again and will try other sandwiches. I read other reviews about having to wait a long time to receive their order, but I went at 3pm so my sandwich was made in about 5 minutes. I would highly recommend, especially for UC students (and faculty & staff).“

“This was my first time visiting this location of Tom & Chee and I thoroughly enjoyed myself. In fact, I like this location better than the downtown location... When I first walked in, I noticed how clean the store was. Then as I got closer to the counter I was greeted by both the young lady at the register and Erica the manger on duty. Moreover, Erica and her team were pleasant and accommodating throughout my dine-in experience, bringing my food to the table, checking to make sure everything was okay, immediately cleaning the tables of other guests after they finished dining, and wishing me a good day when I left... “While it is not the cheapest option, that is partially because of the freshness of the product. I have had all but the Jalapeno version of their chicken salads and loved every one. The grape dessert is also amazing and I highly recommend it, and my kids love the cookies. My favorite way to eat any of the chicken salads is on the croissant, but my wife likes to eat them with the crackers. Either way is delicious! If you haven't, I recommend trying here for a different take on lunch or dinner!Parking: There is plenty of parking, but sometimes you may have to park further out in the lot.“

“This is a small space in a mini strip mall. You seat yourself or go to the counter for carry out. There is seating around the counter. Part of the area where they prepare food is behind the counter. Servers have always been very friendly and work hard to make sure your order is going to be what you want. They still bring a container of pickles to your table when they come to get your drink order. There is usually only one server who also clears tables but it is a small place so it seems to work. Every sandwich comes with a potato pancake which is their signature. Everything we have tried has been great“

“I ordered the Angus beef hamburger & it was one of the best I’ve had in Cincinnati & definitely the best that I have had at that price point. I liked the way they had the pickles & Dijon mustard on the side, I used both & the pickles seemed homemade. My side was coleslaw & that was delish as well. “My first time visiting Cincinnati for my son’s away game, I decided to make a stop to the Jersey Mikes. I was greeted upon arrival and everyone had such great manners and hospitality. There was a teenager I think they called him Tay, he was amazing. He made my Kahuna and it was perfect, good manners and personality. “We're from Cleveland and were in town visiting for a show and wanted something local - not a national chain. We found Izzy's and we will DEFINITELY be back every time we're in Cincy! I had the Codfather and it was THE best fish sandwich I've ever had. I almost went back for a second one later on!! The service was also excellent - they were VERY friendly and conversational. “I don't generally give reviews of places, but this is a must!! We went in for the advertised gluten free bread, we ordered and my husband requested that the first person change their gloves to eliminate cross contamination, that's when I realized that this was a mine field and started looking for all the requests we would need to make to keep him from getting contaminated. I didn't even have to ask!! They brought the sub out wrapped up, changed gloves, wiped the counter, got a new knife, put the sub on a wrap to transport it down the line, and placed the knife on the wrap as well, second person changed gloves, when he asked for mayo asked if packets were ok since the spreader and mayo were not safe. I want to cry, I am so happy with the care they took, the sensitivities to the hazard that he faces was phenomenal!!!“

As we were leaving I heard the young lady at the counter inform the newest customer that they had run out of bread...."so if you wanna wrap or a salad we can help you". Like I said they were busy. They gave us our cold sammys with very little wait, our hot ones (we ordered 6, 4 cold/ 2 hot) took awhile longer they ended up calling my name ( I enjoyed the first name basis) to inform me I'd have to pick a different kind of bread which was fine. “We had not been to Penn Station in a long time, but stopped by when we got a bogo coupon. We ordered toasted Italian subs. They were so delicious that we couldn't wait to go back. The employees are very efficient. The subs are always perfect. The fans are loud so it is hard to hear inside the restaurant. Last time we got take out. It was still excellent. Hope they send out more coupons. We'll be back.“

I came in today (2/20/24) around 12:30 and all the staff were incredibly friendly. The man who made my sandwich had some large tattoos on his forearms and I swear I never saw a more beautiful sandwich being made just for me. Another one had long curly hair tied up and was super kind, he hyped up my choice in toppings. The guy who sliced my meats and cheeses was very polite and the lady at the front was very sweet. I ended up eating my sandwich on fallen tree in the woods by the river, and I could taste the good vibes. I don’t do reviews often but todays crew was exceptional and I’m glad I stopped in.“

“This was located near the campus of Northern Kentucky University. Never had Firehouse Sub. I was very pleased with my choices. 1. To eat here and 2. Having the meatball sub.
