“Our server Jada was awesome. We started with the fried banana peppers appetizers with ranch dressing instead of the cocktail sauce- these were really really good. Actually, all of our food was good - we had a hamburger with french fries, some chicken wings, an open face sandwich with a white sauce, and a pulled pork sandwich. And the place has a great casual ambience as well.“

“I cannot say enough about the kindness of the staff here. My father had a medical emergency while waiting on dinner and the staff dialed 911 for me within seconds and offered to box up our food because we couldn’t stay to eat it. They also closed the restaurant while the EMT’s were working on Dad. I cannot say enough about the kindness of the employees/ staff. I have eaten there on other occasions too and the food has always been excellent.“

“I'm going to dream about the pillowy, flavorful potato salad here! Their pork sandwich combo is also a helluva deal. Service was great and the restaurant is full of eye candy by way of signs and trinkets.I'm coming back to try to brisket ASAP, because the pork was melt in your mouth. I also quite liked the barbecue sauce - good smoky sweet heat.“

“Amazing amount of beer selections. Hate all the beer joints doing too many IPAs. We had a burger and the Philly. The burger was fantastic and the Philly was ah. We tried the house cups and the onion rings. Both were good. Service was fantastic and the place deserved more traffic than they had. This place needs more people trying to enjoy a great beer with a good food option.“

“My second time here. We got there like :15 min earlier and we couldn't seat until our time, that's ok. But someone else came after us like just in time and that still sit them first, and that got the room that I prefer. Waitress great us nicely but barely check on us and didn't even offer dessert. Most dishes were cold. I think there were closer to close the kitchen time as my first experience was great. It all depends I guess on time frame and who is your waitress. My husband loved the shrimp and grits that was good temperature and I love the ricotta balls that was good temperature too. But the rest we ordered was cold. I went the first time without him, so was the end of Derby and I surprised him with this brunch and he still love it. Castle is beautiful, farm to table food. Worth to go but not before closing.“
“The woodford club was a great experience for our golf group. We scheduled a whole day including food and some pre-planned activities nearby (bourbon tasting after lunch, dinner nearby). The scenery was beautiful, the course was tough but a lot of fun. The food was maybe the best clubhouse food I’ve ever had, they’ve got serious food people there (shout out to T-Bone). Pam is great to work with if you’re trying to schedule a group event and everyone we interacted with was great!“

“I can’t say enough good about this restaurant. The atmosphere was very cozy and well decorated. The bread they brought out was the best I’ve had at a restaurant. The shrimp and grits were perfect, the steak was perfect and the scallops and French fries were amazing. This is the best restaurant I’ve been to in the Lexington area.“

“The burgers are to die for! I can hardly eat the whole meal because the portions are so big. We love coming down and eating outside in their new patio area. Customer service is always tops notch! Everyone down there is so nice and welcoming!“

“This is an amazing nursery with so many beautiful plant varieties. The shop is beautifully curated and the greenhouse feels like walking into a jungle wonderland. They have aome of the biggest tropical houseplants I have ever seen, and even have some amazing rare finds. We couldn't help picking up a few things, even though we're out of town and have a 5 hour car ride home.“

“The service here is generally good, this last time our waiter was in an extreme rush during our whole meal. He never introduced himself, he never asked if we needed anything. He did keep an eye on our drinks and kept up with them for the most part.“

“Took another trip to Midway, this time to eat at the Goose and Gander!! It was great! The food was amazing, I had the grilled pork chops with apple butter and a side of mashed potatoes with gravy and stewed apples. The Mrs had the fried chicken club and it was huge. The couple with us had the hot brown and the Goose cubano! When we return for another visit we will have to try the pizza, so many tables were enjoying the pizza selections!“

“Stopped by to treat myself to some fish and shrimp on my birthday, I had forgotten how good Captain Ds food is, extremely reasonable prices also. Got fish, shrimp, hushpuppies, fries and a drink for $8.46 after tax... I wish we had one in Georgetown! Great service, clean and good music on the speakers! Thank you for a great lunch!“

“I really like this brunch spot, located in the basement of an antique gallery, that used to be a school (I was told) and the largest collection of antiques I've ever seen. The restaurant is only open a few days a week and reservations are only taken from 11am- 1:30pm. It's a three course meal that consists of appetizer, entree and dessert. The menu changes every few weeks and you have a selection from a list of three items per course. It's beautifully decorated , but since it's in the basement, it's pretty chilly so bring a sweater. Oh, and it is way off the beaten path. Expect to drive two-lane, curvy roads to get there. In fact, google maps had me on a one lane road for over a mile on my way there. That might be normal for some, but it's kind of scary for me...“
