“We arrived on a Friday, at around 5pm. The hostess staff greeted us warmly, as soon as we stepped inside. The hostess seated us at a booth near the open kitchen area. I loved the level of cleanliness and noticed that a staff member was juicing TONS of citrus fruit for cocktails. That is A+ behavior!! Our server quickly arrived at the table. Her name was Maddie and Maddie was ICONIC. Maddie knew every single menu item and available variations of it. She proved masterful in describing and recommending dishes. Maddie's patience, initiative, and enthusiasm were remarkable. Mestizo's will now be our FIRST stop as soon as we arrive in Baton Rouge.“

“Booked for business dinner with 14 participants. The staff made sure everyone was properly taken care of.The oysters, bisque & gumbo, and all seafood dishes were ridiculously good. Nobody complained about their food and all of us will return.This place receives my highest recommendation. I will make sure to visit every time I go to Baton Rouge.“

“The food was amazing. We enjoyed the Sunday brunch menu which included the French onion soup, fried oyster salad and for entrees we ate the New Orleans Crab Cake Benedict and Short Rib Benedict. The manger was so gracious as to give me a small bottle of champagne to take home since all the desserts were made with chocolate and I am allergic. We will definitely be back for the dinner menu. Fantastic table side service, beautiful ambiance and excellent master chef food.“

“It’s a neighborhood staple! I love coming here for a treat with my family or on my own to read. It draws a friendly crowd of various ages. The baristas are really kind. If a mistake is made, they’re very apologetic and eager to help. It’s cozy and inviting with different seating options.“

Also, if a customer in drive-thru has to sign their receipt, please don't walk away, leaving them stuck in your drive-thru waiting for you to come back to grab the signed receipt.“

Atmosphere was perfect and intimate, service was fast and kind!Went here with a girlfriend, both of us are from out of town and cancelled our original plans wanting a more casual night. “Recently had an event I worked at this location and the manager and his team were amazing! I really appreciated how they treated me so well and made sure I was taken care of the whole night! My food I ordered togo was also very good! The fried green beans and okra was so good, along with our burgers! Overall it was a great experience and hope to be back in the future. “I love coming here! It makes my week so much easier. I don’t have to worry about cooking and cleaning. The meals are delicious and nutritious. The korean beef bowl, lasagna, and the spaghetti meat sauce are my top 3 favorites. They are really yummy and help me with my gym journey.“

“I finally found this place and entered the counter to a very friendly James. He was very accommodating with suggestions of my ordering. So my order was the beef teriyaki with vegetables and noodles. Oh my God, it tasted Fantastic. The beef was tender and the sauce was delicious ?The accompany of sauces provide were excellent as I added a little to my bowl of yummy food.James commented that I will be back for more and he is correct! “Our waitress, Aneseia, was incredible! Super knowledgeable about the menu. And the drink menu. She checked on us frequently but not too much. The lettuce wraps are the reason we went. They did not disappoint. Looking forward to the new menu.“
