“Went into this store after shopping at the Hong Kong Market, what a convenient location! I got a grilled pork banh mi and am avocado bubble tea. There is no indoor seating; everything is taken to-go. My bubble tea was very thick and I think that's fairly standard for avocado but this was my first time having it. It was delicious. My banh mi was simple and filling, glad I tried it. Both items were prepared very quickly and the staff was nice.“

“This is my favorite Pho Bang location. The service is usually good, and the food always tastes hot and fresh. They don't have the pork patty like the other location, they do actual pork pieces that are grilled perfectly. The broth has a rich flavor and good balance. I definitely recommend giving it a try!“

“Every so often my family likes to do dinner in old Gretna; it has a lot of charm. We were going for Vietnamese and chose Thanh Thanh. Cutting to the chase; the food was really good. Service was on point. A few things that were odd; I'm not saying bad; but from a brand marketing and customer loyalty perspective... odd. When you are seated; they ask what type of menu do you want; Vietnamese or Pizza? We could only guess that there is some sort of connection with the pizza place next door (Huey P's). We chose Vietnamese. Looking over the available options, they had all the staple Vietnamese options... but they also have Chinese (Beef & Broccoli), Korean Bar-BQ & Chicken Fingers. I've never been to a place which offer this much variety and I can see how one might this is good.. but the flip side is that by offering too many options, the result is that it makes the Vietnamese options 'feel' less authentic. The interior setting was nice but combined with the blaring 'pop country' music and Sharknado playing on the TV, it took the vibe down considerably and made the experience feel like a tacky tourist trap in the quarter. Not expected. This is one of those moments where a simple suggestion can go a long way... less is better! Find your niche. Perhaps the niche for this spot is catering to the jury duty crowd which I get, but perhaps by defining your niche; it may bring in more people; especially for dinner.Parking: Lots of free street parking after 5PM.“

“We reserved a large room at 9 Roses to host our wedding rehearsal lunch. The food was delicious and the waitstaff was attentive. We worked with the owner to come up with a set menu for each table. We loved the caramelized Louisiana catfish! We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend 9 Roses for a private event!“

“The Vietnamese coffee was rich and perfectly balanced, setting a great tone for our meal. We tried the seafood noodle soup and shrimp, both seafood-packed dishes that were fantastic. Service was friendly, and the location was spot on. Only critique is that protein portions were a bit on the lighter side. However, definitely a great Vietnamese spot to check out!“

I just can't say enough good things about this establishment & the people who make you feel so welcome.“

“We had the pleasure of meeting the owner Mike and his family while visiting New Orleans back in June 2017. This was not a planned visit to their restaurant, but one that will long stay with us. Great Food, Great Experience -Do Not Miss the Chance to add this place to your ‘Bucket-List’. The Shirmp and Grits was off the hook good.“

“Nudo is sooo good y’all. This hole in the wall restaurant located by Shyam’s is amazing. The place was super packed on a weekend night, and the waitress catered to our needs. I got the nudo fusion wings it was covered in this sweet spicy sauce, it was to die for. I also got the bun bo hue it tasted like comfort food. The lemon grass pork rice plate was bombbb with the paired sauce with it.“

“The food was fresh, quick, and tasty. The place was clean, quiet, with natural light, and clear air. I am very grateful we have a Vietnamese restaurant in our area. I did not like I was charged $4 USD for paying with my card. They do not offer a military discount.“

“We absolutely loved this place. We’ve been to Vietnamese cafes all over the city and this was one of our favorites. The prices were totally reasonable, and for the quality of the food, a total bargain. We had stir fry and pho and both were incredible. It’s clearly a family restaurant that cares about its food and its customers. We will definitely be back“

“Solid taste for an authentic bowl of pho. I like their setup, which really encourages trying all sorts of sides and sauces for those adventurous. The bowl in the picture (P7, Pho Dac Biet) had almost the entire dish of side veggie put in, which enhanced the overall taste. Nothing compares with the great satisfying feel after a hot bowl of pho ... personally, I think they got it.“

“This was my first visit. Chose it for the pho, based on the reviews. Definitely lived up to the hype. Ordered the brisket and well-done flank pho. Amazing. Definitely rates as best pho in the area. The broth that came with a couple of rice dishes was also delicious. Highly recommend the grilled pork w/ vermicelli (#33). Fried eggrolls were a little greasy but tasted good. Grilled pork spring rolls are really good (as good as anywhere else in the area). Everything came out fast and was fresh. Perfect if you are hungry and don't want to wait.“

“This place is really good! I ordered the grilled chicken with rice and it was delicious! Also the Korean Fried Chicken (KFC) is a must. The dragon fruit lemonade and the white chocolate bread pudding was soooo yum! Y’all need to try this place if ever in the area and in the mood for some Vietnamese food.“

“Their banh cuon thit nuong (steamed rice rolls with grilled pork) is my favorite and the only item that I normally order from here. BUT the person who makes it does not work everyday so you have to ask if they are making it before you make the trip.“
“They do a good job of having what you need and I use them when I don't want to get in the car or the other stores are closed. Sure, you pay convenience-store prices! You're paying for the convenience and they're paying Frenchmen Street rent. But it's well organized and what you need is likely there!“

“Shout out to Gil who was our amazing server. He had a lot of great suggestions and was so helpful and friendly. The pork belly buns were so good, as was my pork belly vermicelli. My partner had the beef Pho, she said it wasn't the most traditional pho she's ever had, but still good nonetheless, especially the flavor of the smoked brisket and the addition of the soft-boiled egg. All in all, a great experience and a super cute place!“

“We always get the Korean beef short ribs with kimchi. Amazing. Recently we have had the salt and pepper shrimp with lemongrass, tamarind, etc and all were great. Today we had the shrimp in house curry which was delicious. The broth in the pho is so rich that occasionally we purchase the broth. Young ladies providing service are excellent. No better Vietnamese restaurant in the 504!“
