“My first time at Perino's Restaurant and thought that they have a very clever way with their menu. Instead of having 20 or 30 different sandwiches listed on their menu, you buy a basket of food let's say you get a basket of shrimp or fish. If you want to make a sandwich out of it they charge you like less than $3 and you get two pieces of French bread, lettuce, tomato and pickles and you just make it yourself. Condiments are on the table to add yourtself as well. I thought to myself how genius this is and certainly cuts back on the number of items on the menu. It certainly cuts back on any issues with my sandwich wasn't dressed correctly.I love the atmosphere and the wait staff was super friendly.I'll be back for sure.”

“Love the red beans and rice with fried chicken and andouille sausage. It's not a listed regular menu item but all you have to do is ask. Super rich and creamy slightly different than traditional new orleans red beans.”

“Texas Roadhouse is a staple if you want a good time. That's why it's so busy. They can have a wait that will mean you will need to plan ahead of time. The atmosphere is a little loud, definitely a fun affair that you won't have to worry about keeping things down. Which is good because we have been struggling to take our kids out of late. Check in online so you won't have to wait as long. We had a wait of an hour and a half. We knocked out some shopping and came right on time then we're seated in less than 20 min. The rolls were great as always, always order kids meals first maybe even ahead of time so they are already eating and you can breath to order yours. The house made ranch was a little thick, too much sour cream I think and both steaks came out less done than requested. Not sure what was going on in the kitchen but I expected more. I will have to see if they do better next time. Our server was great and the manager was very understanding and saved the experience.Parking: It is a big shopping center. Especially around dinner time you could literally park a plane.Kid-friendliness: Your kids will love the animals and the country atmosphere. Might be a little loud but my little ones were okay with it. Bring a coat in case your near a vent. Crayons and paper a must. Order kids meals first. Don't judge!”

“Barrow's Catfish - Poydras location We ordered the Barrows catfish entree with potato salad, smothered seafood okra with catfish, and shrimp and spinach rolls. The texture of the catfish was amazing! I wish that it had a tad bit more seasoning but I would definitely order it again. The smothered seafood okra was a taste of southern comfort and just delicious. The rolls were nicely cooked with just the right amount of crunch. Con (to some): The catfish is farm raised.”

“This was so good, when I lived in Pailet avenue as a child, I used to eat from them all the time. Now I'm back in Louisiana for college. Noodles are great, shrimp fried rice is awesome, and so is literally everything else on the menu.”

“Amazing!!!! The absolute BEST Mofongo I have EVER had!!! Sorry my husband ate most of it before I could even take a picture! Lol. $18 and came with a salad! If you haven't tried it, RUN and get some!!! Just WOW!!! The Chef was so kind! She said she had 2 locations. She is listed in DOORDASH!”

“The guy that I believe owns and/or manage the business was really sweet! He helped carried my order to the car and everything! Over the top customer service!The space is awesome though! It's spacious, neat, and clean with great parking.Now, they say they open for 10:30a.m. but they don't! They arrive at about 10:45a.m. and then have to clean, prep, meet vendors, and everything else! Just open for 11:00a.m. or later it's rude and inconsiderate of your customer's time if they planned for that visit.Then when they finally arrive they still have to wait on the cooks or whomever. The yakemein is delicious but not enough to wait a hour or so later for. The burger meat is gross, and the other things were enjoyable.Again not enjoyable enough for the wait and inconsistent hours. The prices are reasonable and again that yakemein is amazing!”

“This a hidden gem. First off ,the place was really cute . Nice little picture wall right outside before the entering . We went on a Sunday it was my birthday and my niece suggested this place. It did not disappoint. Hardly anyone was in there and our waitress was very attentive. We were a party of 10, I food did not take long. We had several dishes chicken and waffles, which was just ok the waffle was supposed to have added bacon but it didn't. The bronze gulf redfish was delicious, the trinity rib tips were a little salty but not bad ,also the Salmon was very good. The bbq shrimps and grits were a little spicy but delicious. The beef short rib hash delicious. Since it was my birthday I received a desert. I got the Beignets omg!! They were soo good. We were told they have a band on Fridays so we will definitely be back to enjoy that experience! Nothing like good food and good music.!!”

“A hidden gem! The location is a little tucked away in the corner of the shopping strip. Cute warm and welcoming atmosphere. Met the new owner, and she was so nice! The Bun Bo Hue was so good and flavorful… better than most places. My second favorite is the Bánh Bot Chien (Fried Rice Cake). A must try!”

“I am genuinely surprised by the other reviews. My husband and I were visiting NOLA and stopped into Boomtown for dinner and a place to sleep. It was hard to find a restaurant in the casino WITH a bar. We settled here for food and when the server found out we were looking for drinks too, she went to the other bar in the casino and grabbed us beers. She was so sweet and accommodating.Also, the pho here is AMAZING. I am from the east coast and it blew me away. Very authentic and delicious. Serving was huuuuugee and reasonably priced. This place is a well kept secret in the city apparently by the lack of reviews.Ambiance is nice. And it seemed other patrons were happy with their food. There was a long line for take out when we showed up. If we lived locally, I would for sure be a repeat customer getting their pho. ??”

“After being in the Emergency Department at a local hospital. I was starving. I decided to go to Fridays. My appetizer was delicious it was shrimp delicious. My main dish was a New York strip with butter, mac and cheese which was so delicious. I can it has been a while since I went to my local Friday's. I thank you Chef and their team. “My husband and I decided to try this based on previous reviews during a quick trip from Pennsylvania..so glad we came here. The food is AWESOME! I had the shrimp and grits and my husband had the Shrimp Etouffee. He also had the Chicken and Sausage Gumbo as an appetizer. We shared a side of Red Beans and Rice....all were delicious! And to top it all off for my birthday, I ordered the Tiramisu...it was a huge piece and also delicious. Our server, Mason, was so attentive and polite. Definitely give this place a try...you won't be disappointed.”

“This was my first visit. Chose it for the pho, based on the reviews. Definitely lived up to the hype. Ordered the brisket and well-done flank pho. Amazing. Definitely rates as best pho in the area. The broth that came with a couple of rice dishes was also delicious. Highly recommend the grilled pork w/ vermicelli (#33). Fried eggrolls were a little greasy but tasted good. Grilled pork spring rolls are really good (as good as anywhere else in the area). Everything came out fast and was fresh. Perfect if you are hungry and don't want to wait.”

“I grew up in NYC loving the food in Chinatown, so when a local friend suggested we have lunch at Hong Minh in nearby Harvey, I thought "oh no, suburban Chinese food... blah." I quickly shed my preconceptions once food started arriving at our barebones table in a plain-Jane dining room in this nondescript strip mall. Dang! This is easily up there with the best Chinese food you'll find anywhere in the country. Highlights include BBQ pork, roasted duck, salt & pepper string beans and Singapore mei fun. I asked one of the owners who was taking a break from hacking up roast ducks what part of China they were from and he said "Hong Kong and Taiwan, NOT China." Take that, China and preconceptions!”

The BROTH was the MOST special thing about this place's Pho! I chose the bowl that boasted both the Beef flank and Navel cuts. Succulent, flavor, and so tender that I was able to hold one end with my chopsticks and use the spoon to pull the meat apart! Hands down wish I lived behind this place just to eat EVERY meal here EVERY day! I love you, Kitchen and Staff! Do not change a single thing! You are amazing!”

“Refused my order because the sandwich makers refused to stop talking while preparing my sandwich. I asked her at least twice not to talk over my order, but then the other employee felt insured by my request and stated firmly that they had to communicate. Excuse me, but what communication needed to take place over my order, it wasn't a new employee and it wasn't about anything over my order so she should not have been talking while preparing my meal. And this lady was very short so her breath was just a foot over my meal while preparing. I told them I did not want it and went to another Subway and reported the incident to headquarters...I haven't been back since and that was my favorite Sunway..”
