“I was a bit disappointed that the juices weren't freshly made on the spot. But the Root and Fruit was very tasty. I like to juice at home so I can get the pulp, no pulp with their juices. The younh woman at the register was very kind and knowledgeable. I see some people complain about the prices. To them I say, have you been in the grocery stores these days and seeing the price of veg and fruit?“

“We had salty oysters, oysters on the half shell, Gator bites, and crawfish meatballs. Everything was delightful, but we were surprised that they can't count to 12. We were shorted one oyster, and at the price they charge, that's a big deal. When we called it to their attention, they graciously brought us the one we were missing plus one extra. All in all we had a great experience. Our waiter was top notch, thr atmosphere great, and Bryon was a delight to visit with.“

“Great place for breakfast, menu has changed some what, less omelet selection, grits are a little runner spread out onto the plate looks like more but less. I ordered fish and grits w/eggs. Instead waiter brought me a bowl shrimp and grits with eggs on the side. I ask where is the fish she said oh! Yes came back with the fish. I told her I had ordered fish and grits, no sir you ask for shrimp and grits. Anyway the food taste good my guess were happy, In the end so was I. 9/04/23.“

“We almost kept walking by this place when we looked in the window because it looks like a counter service kind of place, but the waitress waved us in. We are so glad that she did. The food was amazing, best breakfast that we had in New Orleans. And super friendly staff. The atmosphere is kind of combination of diner/cafeteria but don’t let that fool you.“

“Came for lunch. Miso soup was REALLY good. And the salad looked plain as can be, but the dressing is actually incredibly delicious. Hibachi tasted well-balanced - well seasoned and nice presentation, didn’t take too long. I do dislike how it costs $14, and I end up spending $20 through tax tip etc. But I guess that’s how it is with dining in.Also please fix the flickering light at the bar! That made it a bit sketchy. But other than that good meal.“

“So when you walk in, everything kind of stops because it’s that tranquil. You then look around and realize you’re good because you can’t buy anything bad even if you don’t buy anything. In a way, even the staff appear to be what you’re buying.Oh and the avocado toast is bananas. Bless“

“Other than the wait time everything was good. My food came out luke warm mostly but the waitress was on point. Very friendly and courteous staff. The alcohol drinks are ok not too bad. I was told the hurricane is a strong drink but I survived. The voodoo rolls were real good. My main entree was the chicken bon temp. It's a blacked chicken dish and they seasoned it to perfection. If you plan on eating here I would suggest a reservation and make sure the whole party if you have a big party is there before checking in.Parking: Parking is plentiful in the back of the restaurant.“

“I am from New Orleans but haven'tived here in years. This establishment reminded me of everything I grew up with. From the food to the service, everything was amazing. I highly highly recommend it to anyone looking for authentic cuisine. The gumbo is the winner!“

“so here's the deal, I meant to photograph the food, but I only managed to get one picture of my margarita. this place has a wonderful margarita menu that is guaranteed to have a flavor for everyone. the pineapple cilantro margarita was delicious, refreshing and had legs for days. highly recommend. the queso is probably the best restaurant queso I've had. and the table side ceviche was lovely. this is a fun little place to stop by for good food and great drinks.“

“I’m usually a google review lurker, but this place is so amazing I had to share. I’ve lived in the neighborhood for 5 years and walked by this place many times but have never dined until yesterday. In a city with so many trendy restaurants, it is easy to overlook this place at first, but don’t be fooled. My partner and I decided stopped in to check this place out and had an EXCEPTIONAL meal! We sat on the patio which has the loveliest energy and is decorated in a way where you can really tell someone put some love into opening this place. We had a Thai tea and iced coffee, a seaweed salad, a squid steak, crab fried rice, and the garlic shrimp. Everything was delicious, but the squid steak and crab rice were out of this world. Super fresh and generous portions. Everything is priced so reasonably! Our food was a little slow coming out, but there was just one waitress and we weren’t in a rush so we actually enjoyed being able to relax outside and just enjoy the atmosphere. This place has a lot of heart and soul in the food and location, and was a lovely departure from some of the heavier dishes/cuisines NOLA is known for. Will definitely be coming back!“

“We stumbled into Iacovone and for a moment thought we had come into the wrong place. The restaurant is a hole in a wall that looks so decrepit from the outside, only the "Open" sign convinced me that it was actually a working restaurant. Then, when you walk in, there were two small plastic tables with a few plastic chairs. So it's then a little jarring at the counter to look at the menu of the day and see serious food for prices that are extremely reasonable for serious food (but still more than you have ever paid in a place that has a bit of an eating in a Subway feel to it). But don't let that dissuade you. Because this is indeed incredible food at very reasonable prices, and the advantage of being in a tiny hole in the wall is that you almost can't help but chat with the Chef/Owner/Sole Employee who has a great story to tell about his journey through the food world and his love for New Orleans. Iacovone was the last restaurant we visited on a three week vacation across multiple countries where we ate incredibly well. It was a fitting last stop. Make sure to give it a try on your next visit to the Crescent City.“

“Dolma has no business tasting this good! I had the chicken shawarma wrap—I had to get up and give props to the cook. “This is my absolute favorite restaurant. The food is always fantastic and no matter what I order I am always delighted with my meal! My favorites Pizzas and Pastas, for desserts or breakfast, I go for cookies with fresh brewed coffee. Servers are also great and always efficient, happy and polite. “This place is an amazing pizza joint! When I saw that they make a pizza based on one of my favorite sandwiches, the muffuletta, I had to order one immediately! With pepperoni, salami, Canadian bacon, and olive salad, they perfectly captured the flavors of that savory Louisiana sandwich. I was so impressed. The delicious pizza dough stood up well to the array of toppings. There was no sogginess or limpness to the dough at all. The dough had the perfect chew.“
