The High Hat Burger and the Pimento Mac and Cheese was ?... 5 star meal right there! The pork on the Cuban sandwich was so tender and delicious ?. We were only in town for 2 days and had to come back to High Hat for the brunch (also recommend by Quinn), before we left. We had the Chicken and Waffle and Cornmeal Pancakes. “I heard about this place online, and they did not disappoint. The line was down the street. There were people from all over the country (FL, TX, MD, DC- and they weren't together)in line that came to visit and try their food. I wanted to try everything, but I got fish with a side of chicken, mac and cheese, and glazed/sweet green beans. Everything was so good. The chicken was so crispy and juicy. The catfish was flaky with crispy flavorful batter - and I don't even like catfish... let me say that! The portion sizes were amazing, and so was the customer service. They have Anointed Confections inside the store that sell the most delicious cakes, cupcakes, and pound cakes(not sure about pie) but dem cakes...look baby! Moist, flavorful, and not overly sweet. “A wonderful experience in the place of experience’s. If your coming to Bourbon Street, make this a must do on your list. My Sazerac was spot on, and the food was authentic and very flavorful. Full on the food or not, you will be amiss if you don’t try the bread pudding. But from the first bite….this place has a customer for life and I’ll send everyone I know there. Even being delivered it was hot, fresh, and a great portion of food! The ribs were the best! “Ordered the fish and shrimp platter and it came out in a box. The gut Buster in the box had the taste of day old grease and fries that appeared to have been soaked in water after being taken out of the day old grease. When the lady brought the bag to the table, I asked Ma'am is this the platter and she then replied load and proud Yeeeepppppp! Mind you, we paid aprox $70.00 for this heartburn and two drinks that tasted like over rated and highly sweetened suga water with a Lil color. Eat at your own risk and if you choose to do so make sure you have the anti acid pills close by along with some baby wipes to donate your platter to a better cause.“

“Found this from reading reviews and we weren’t disappointed—- very well organised staff, not the smartest of buildings ( but our server said they are moving to larger premises soon ) but the friendly helpful staff are great! I loved their eggs Benedict- so much so we went back a couple of days later!! Hubby enjoyed an omelette first time then second visit he had their French toast which came with fresh grapes & pineapple and was absolutely delicious! Refill of the tasty coffee is a nice touch. Well worth a visit!“

“Even after more years than I can count (before Katrina) I continue to eat and rate their fried chicken the BEST in NEW ORLEANS. My partner and I bought a house one block from Jazz Fest only to discover that an epicurean fried chicken feast was within walking distance. I’ve been vegan for about 6 months and I enjoy trying various vegan restaurants. I rate the food a 10 out of 10. The portion sizes are great for the price and everything on my plate was delicious. I had egg rollz, veggie rice, cabbage and jerk meatballs. Everything was seasoned to perfection! FYI there is a parking lot that is not even 1 minute away. Update: We went back for more food.
