“Update: Just went today to get crawfish, gumbo and boudin balls. The crawfish were so good and well seasoned!!! I hesitate to go today because for the past 3 years, they have not been spicy at all. So I couldn't have been happier today with how spicy they were. They are always clean crawfish, decent sized and today, they were some of the best I've ever eaten!The boudin balls were very delicious. They were kind of like chicken fried, which made them so good. “Great spot for consistently good Italian food. Portions are huge so you can definitely split a meal here. Very good local seafood dishes like fried soft shell crab (in season) and nightly fish specials. My favorite is their tomato cream sauce.“

I pulled off interstate 12 to do some laundry and Asked one person if she knew of any place to get a quality salad. She said I work in a "Salad Station." WHAT ARE THE CHANCES? I have all the luck. CAUSEWAY BLVD, MANDEVILLE, LA 70471I was impressed as I walked in the door, because the two employees were cheerful and polite. "Would you look at this grand spread of VEGGIES!" I created a fabulous plate and felt like it was the first clean food I'd eaten since California. I filled a second plate for the road for breakfast. Thank you to the Manager who gave me directions and the super Cool employees. I called my wife to tell her that this was as close to a home-made-salad as I had in the last two months on the road. (She is the SALAD-QUEEN!!!) Salad Station: CLEAN***** FRESH***** Priced right $$**** It was the best Meal I had while driving 4100 miles across the USA.“

“Turgeau’s is my favorite restaurant to go to that eases my worry about cross contamination for food allergies. The staff is very helpful and knowledgeable about allergies and does everything possible to prevent contamination. It is a cozy atmosphere with very friendly owners and staff. It is my #1 choice for places to eat and to be able to sit down and have a delicious meal. Definitely worth the drive from Hammond.“

“My wife and I stopped by the Fat Spoon for a mid morning breakfast and enjoyed the experience. Although quite busy on this Wednesday, service was friendly and efficient, with our coffee cups (excellent coffee) never allowed to be empty. The Fat Spoon has a very clean, almost industrial chic decor that is sleek and efficient, which improves upon its nondescript exterior. It was our first visit and I had the signature Fat Spoon omelette with grits and whole wheat toast. My wife had the Greek omelette. Omelettes were very good and the toast especially so. Seems strange to compliment the toast, but the bread was thick with a home made texture that was clearly a cut above average. Grits were creamy and hot in the best Southern tradition. We recommend the Fat Spoon Cafe for breakfast and will return sometime to try the lunchtime fare.“

“The only issue I found was the concrete floor was very dirty ( or look dirty), I spoke with the manager and he said that company was hired to clean the concrete floor, he was hopping it will look better. I love the place, but the way the floor looks like doesn't go with it.“
