“OMG is all I can say...ok actually there's more. I went to Daiwa with my friend and his daughter after church and we totally pigged out. Since it was my first time and they're regulars, I let them order and they picked all of the best items on the menu. They ordered the shrimp tempura, spicy kimchi udon (my favorite), the butter baked scallop with garlic butter sauce (sooo good), Hamachi Kama( broiled Yellow Tail neck) with white rice and the sea salt white fish sashimi (amazing). I ordered the marine roll just because- everything we had was phenomenal. I was absolutely wowed and I'm now, a life long fan of Daiwa! This was an authentic Japanese experience and I can say that as someone who's been to Japan and had authentic Japanese food. We enjoyed a very calm, clean minimalist setting and food that I'll be thinking about until I can get back to the restaurant for more. My friends new knew our server personally and she provided excellent service. I would 100% recommend Daiwa in Marrero. It was phenomenal.”

“Great local spot. Great bands for entertainment, along with pool tables, poker machines. The service is great, even at peek capacity, Angie and girls keep up, rarely wait 2-3 minutes for drinks. Sidney, well, he will even sing, and gives free ice with your mixed drinks. Good selection on adult beverage, with good pours.”

“Stopped in today and all I can say is, “yum!” What a great experience! I have been stopping into The Bistro for years now while going to our many doctor’s appointments. Spotting lots of new faces behind the counter, but always greeted with a smile. The lunch special was incredible! I love how the food is consistently delicious! Keep up the excellent work!! The sugar cookies are and have always been amazing! I have battled parking in that hospital parking garage to get my hands on those cookies! ??? you won’t be disappointed!”

“My boyfriend and I visited this little bar a few weeks ago in New Orleans with his father who goes often. It made me think of the old show "Cheers". The small bar was packed (they were having a pool tournament), but just about every person greeted him. It has a real "family" feel, even for new people to the bar. Check it out if you get a chance!”

The front counter staff were not very friendly and it was difficult to get their attention. Nevertheless, I would recommend ordering from this restaurant again as the pizzas, garlic knots, and dessert were all fantastic.”

“Addicted to the chicken salad poboy. I normally never ever eat chicken salad anywhere. I make my own and I don't really eat much of it. The roast beef was very very good. And of course the ham was good. My least favorite maybe was the shrimp po-boy but if I'd put a little drop of ketchup I might have even liked it better. I sampled from their catering menu. They're bread is nice and soft and not chewy. I really can't say enough about this place”

“I just had my food delivered by Uber Eats,,, I can't say anything bad about the food ...it was tasty. However I will dine in the next time, I didn't get anything to eat my food with and I ordered soup along with other items, so no spoon or fork..no napkins...etc. even so my food was good!”

I had the mushroom fajitas tonight…I’m guessing there was at the very least 16oz of mushroom on top of the bells, onions, and tomatoes…..asannnndddd the fresh house made tortillas! “The year of 2007 is where I begin my love for cold blended coffee. My favorite drinks is white mocha blended and the caramel blended. And I also get the same favor hot during the winter. This coffee is so good and have a unique taste. And the espresso is not strong to where it doesn't over power the favor of the blended drink or the hot latte.”

“Food was good but cold, took a while but was expected. Service was ok. I ordered a dozen donuts to go and asked for a mixed box for my small grandchildren. Well I wish I would have opened the box before we left or carried it to the car because when we got home I carried the box to the house and the box was so heavy. I joked about bricks being in the box. I opened it and it was filled with 10 jelly and cream stuffed donuts, only 2 weren't filled. My grandchildren wouldn't touch the box. They were stuffed so tight in there and it was a huge mess and it completely ruined breakfast for Easter Morning.”

“I have enjoyed this restaurant multiple times. This review is on a Friday lunch visit. Ambiance is non-existent for this to-go restaurant, but that's to be expected. The food is definitely fresher than the decor. However, staff is always polite and check out is quick. The only thing keeping this from being a 5-star review is the to go utensils and sauces are stored in plastic containers like you would buy at Walmart on a table in the lobby, and the utensils are not individually wrapped. Total turn off. I ordered the pork lo mein with a side of crab rangoons. They did a fantastic job on both, and the portions on the lo mein are always ample. Total with tip was under $20, so affordable as well. Will continue to be my "cheap Chinese fix" location.”

I recommend this shop. The fat white lady employee had a mean nasty attitude, but I haven't seen her in a while, great if she got fired. The peach colada and the screwball are my favorites, dont care for the banana banshee anymore. Definitely stop in if you need to unwind at the end of the day. “I can't believe I lived in Marrro my whole life until moving to Houston three years ago and did not hear about this poboy shop until now! It's a small, family run shop in the middle of a neighborhood down Ames past barataria a little bit. We were going to the parades so I was in search of poboys. They have a huge 32 inch shrimp poboy option that is great for the parade route. Also tried the hot sausage and hamburger poboys which were all made to order and very yummy. Reminds me of the many corner store shops in the city that have a food counter.”
