I was in town for only one night. As a recommendation from the hotel staff I walked to this establishment. I didn't look at the reviews before heading there.It was nearly 7p when I arrived so there wasn't a problem with seating or service. Actually they were prepaing for closing.I was seated and waited on rather quickly. I ordered a Long Island Iced Tea. No bartender so the drink was worth it. For dinner I ordered theFried Green Tomatoes, crayfish etquffee with jambalaya. Seems like none of it was fresh.The shrimp on the green tomatoes were soft and mushy like they had been sitting in the sauce a while. The coating on the tomatoes didn't have enough seasonings.The etquffee was bland with lots of green onions and not as hot as it should have been.The jambalaya had a dry skin on it. I didn't touch it.Wished I had spent my money else where.

Delicious! I got their jambalaya and the spice level is PERFECT. Everything is plated beautifully, especially for take out. I wish I was going to be in town longer than a day so I could try their other dishes.

We have been here many times. And the food is always excellent and the service always on point. Dan did a great job today.We always stop here as a treat after I have my appointments with Ochsner. Its a little happy after a long medical day.I love this place.

We love stopping in for the food and the great wait staff every time we are in town! This last time was no exception...The Gumbo Monceaux is incredible!!(served with potato salad and a poached egg!) And my wife went with the classic shrimp po boy. We are never disappointed!

OMG OMG OMG! Sooooo good! The best restaurant in NOLA period! Especially the chicken Jefferson! How good it was? It’s like you already had two full plates of entrees, the chicken Jefferson still tastes amazing!!!! Not just the chicken itself is crispy outside and tender inside, the sauce is great too!!! The rice even tastes good with the sauce lol. And you know the best part? The chef made the side grilled vegetables so tasty too!!! You can really tell if the chef is really trying making good food for his customers by looking at the sides!!!! This restaurant deserves Michelin one star! Also loved the crawfish etouffee and seafood gumbo. So much flavor we ordered double rice! Would definitely go again if visiting NOLA next time! Oh the price is reasonable as well!!!! Definitely worth it. After a week writing this review, I’m still excited and slobbering ?

First time here and tried a bunch of different dishes. Really loved the mumbo gumbo, boudin balls, and grilled veggies!Putting a dollar on the wall is a fun tradition. Will definitely return!
