Traveled here from Baton Rouge with family, we had a large party so there was a bit of a wait which was expected. The staff was friendly. Several of the items we requested were not available such as the chargrilled oyster and red beans. We ordered several things from the menu so the platters are worth the price for the size however I did had to send my fish back because it was just too fishy. Our waitress said it was because its Louisiana fish however we are right across the water in Baton Rouge and the fish doesn't taste like this. It almost as if it needed to be soaked in buttermilk to get the game taste out. The carrot soufflé was delicious. I almost forgot when u sit down most places bring out fresh bread however the bring out hot boiled potatoes with butter which were also good, not seasoned too much or too little. I do appreciate when I told them I didn't care for the fish they quickly swapped it out without question. I will say our waitress Mrs Felicia was the absolute BEST!! I hope anyone who visits gets her she was a Joy to work with

My friend Charles and I regularly go to Deanie’s Bucktown and we always order the same thing, the Onion Rings and a Catfish platter. The customer service is top notch, and the manager Mr. Jeff exceeded our expectations. I have seen Mr. Jeff on busy days buss tables, serve drinks and whatever needs to be done to keep the customer happy. I highly recommend Deanie’s Bucktown to anyone looking for quality seafood, great price and excellent service.

Visited with friends. Busy place, long wait for large party. Had the bisque and salad. I plan to visit again when in the area. Catfish, shrimp, potatoes and potato salad was yummy. I sampled from my friends. Potato boiled with spice is a signature with meal like a bread. I added to my bisque and Caesar salad. Very good. Daiquiri was delish also

We loved this place. The food was delicious and we had the most wonderful waitress. The atmosphere was so pleasant. We ordered a lot of food, we had the giant platter, which we were able to customize and have it charbroiled - the catfish was amazing- soft shell crabs were so good. along with a dozen oysters, crawfish, 4 hard shell crabs, my toddler had the chicken which was so yummy.. bacon wrapped shrimp and the potatoes were heaven.. totally recommend this place.. the total was $275 but worth every cent!

The food is wonderful. As a local New Orleanian, we have eaten at this restaurant for many years. However, the manager is a total racist! Whenever we have encountered him, he is always been rude and nasty. He embarrassed my senior citizens parents in the presence of the entire restaurant yesterday to point of them deciding to leave. They asked to sit in a different part of the restaurant. A good manager would have de-escalated the situation instead of giving into his racist bias. This is not the only incident of this manager being rude to black people. During Bayou Classic, African Americans flock to this place. We deserve more respect than what this white-man manager shows. Shame on you for treating elderly black people that way! This manager needs additional training.

I had the stuffed mushrooms, stuffed grilled shrimp, and potato salad. The potato salad was a little disappointing, but everything else was perfect.

Food was okay. We had crawfish which was okay but one of my mom crawfish was already eaten. The Lemonade was different for all of my family. My mom was unsweet and my dad's was too sweet. the only good food we had was the carrot cake. I oder dessert the golden brick sunday to go and the box have holes in it. We are not comeing back or would recommend this to anyone.
