Great Cajun Seafood place in Metairie. I ordered the Grilled Salmon and Seafood Gumbo, and they were flavorful and tasty. The staff were amazing. Highly recommend this place.
Got the onion rings and a seafood platter. The onion rings were some of the best I've had. The seafood platter was good except for the stuff crab. Something gave it a "different" flavor than I was used to.Parking: Plenty

This location had some very plain tasting food. I ordered the shrimp and catfish lunch special with fries and macaroni. The only item that tasted like it had salt on it was the fries.The networking meeting I attended in the party room was spacious and entertaining, so I didn't focus as much on my food until I got home. Service was definitely an 8/10, very welcoming and they kept our drinks filled.Shrimp and catfish 4/10Fries 7/10Mac and cheese 3/10Sweat Tea 7/10 (nice balance of flavor and sweetness)

Not like it used to be. Hubby was so excited to be back and eat at Dons! The only thing hood was the chicken andouille gumbo. The fried shrimp was very salty and the fried catfish was so thin it was like jerky! My grilled oysters where mostly parmesan cheese. I had like 2 plump oysters.

This is my new favorite for brunch. I have already book again! The service was exceptional! The best price for Bottomless mimosas in town and they were truly bottomless. The food was excellent and also priced very well. The restaurant is beautiful, spacious, and quiet. I highly recommend!

Not a relaxing atmosphere, very loud music couldn’t carry out a conversation. When I asked a young man, that was not our server ,he refused to turn it down by saying management won’t allow us to turn music down. The food was fabulous! It was a shame we could not stay for dessert because the loud music was so aggravating. I am taking the time to write because I would like to eat again at the Veterans Don’s restaurant and not walk out because of the loud music.

Was disappointed in my order... I requested crab au gratin. There was no crab meat anywhere, so it was more like cheese dip.
