If you are expecting run-of-the-mill TexMex, this isn't your place. The creations here are quite flavorful! I ordered the smoked pork nachos and I thoroughly enjoyed it! The rocks house margarita was also unique and delicious. The place is very large and spacious. Parking is good and they also have a nice patio with outdoor seating. I will be coming back.

Came on cinco de mayo and had many areas of seating closed off. Service was terrible sat at the bar for 20 min and didn’t get approached by anyone. Makes zero since on probably the biggest business day that service would be this bad.

I saw some really negative reviews for this place when they first opened, so I was hesitant to try it. However, Las Cruces really impressed me. They were short staffed, but the host was honest about it and said we could wait a bit for a regular table or sit at the bar. We sat at the bar and were served by a very nice guy. Service was great.Chips and salsa were great. The salsa isn't super spicy but has a chipotle sort of kick to it. I got enchiladas with ground chuck. Tasted like quality, homemade food. Not huge portions, just right. Beans and rice at Mexican places are usually bland, but their beans have a smoky taste and the rice was great. My husband got a chicken taco and a shrimp taco, and he said they were also good. We'll definitely be back. Also the building is brand new, very clean and welcoming.

Terrible experience twice in a row. The staff is not only incompetent but extremely rude. Also broke a law. Was kicked out for having my dog. A mean lady came running up at me saying I had to leave, “especially outside where there’s kids” . This is after the staff told me last time that I could have my dog outside.

Walked in on a Saturday around 1 o clock. Noone was at the counter, and the restaurant was quite empty, but there was a wait to be seated sign. After reviewing the menu for a good 10-15 minutes, we decided to leave. Noone seemed at all interested in seating us.

The service was great. Everyone is very nice and friendly. The food would be better if you stopped using that smoke flavor. You need to hire someone to teach you how to make mexican style rice and beans. You're on the right track.

Wonderful meal. So good, we forgot to take a picture of the food before devouring it all. Usually, our go to indicator of a good meal is if the salsa is good, the rest of the food should be good as well. This was definitely the case here. I had the pork tacos the Missus had the enchiladas. They both were spot on great Tex-Mex so, if you are looking for Tex-Mex and are in NOLA this is the place to go.

First of all, the salsa here is the best in the city. I could feast on that salsa, eat it with a spoon. We sat at the bar and our bartender, I’m pretty sure her name was Christy (Kristy?) was phenomenal. She whipped up a mezcal margarita for me and an orange banshee for my partner and WOW. The girl got talent. I’m not a fan of Jameson but the orange banshee is my new go to cocktail. And the prices are unbeatable. We also sampled the frozen Irish coffee (at a tex mex restaurant, I know) however, I would definitely come back just to grab one of those bad boys. She recommended the fish tacos, I only got one because I was so full on the salsa. The fish was so juicy, best fish tacos I’ve had since moving back to New Orleans. And you already know I put some of that salsa on the fish taco.Overall, highly recommend for your next night out. The only thing I thought was odd is their playlist. They only played alternative rock music? I was expecting some Spanish music, but honestly the playlist was pretty great too.

Food indeed had a smoked flavor. It was too much of mesquite flavor. I ordered enchiladas. They were terrible. My husband order fajitas. Lot of meat but not great. The salsa had a strange taste The queso tasted like velvetta cheese. This was our first and last visit. Money wasted. VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!!!!! Eat elsewhere This is NOT A FAKE REVIEW AS THE OWNER SAYS. TERRIBLE. COULD NOT EAT FOOD. A WASTE OF MONEY

For a Tex Mex place, I was blown away by the burger and fries. You can't go wrong with it. And you're missing out if you don't get one. The juicy burger with queso cheese, and a little guacamole far exceeds any expectations you have. Seasoned well and served with some slim cut fries. Trust me.
