Food was good, my server Katina was so awesome and recommended great choices. And buster Preston was so sweet too. Back kitchen made my meal so yummy and on point! Will be back for sure. Oh and I dunno what nectar is but the cake is so good lol!

Good food, service was slow but responsive, atmosphere was nice but too LOUD (especially in the bar area but dining room too). They need to add plants, carpet or ask people politely to please be quieter (toddler screaming constantly in the dining room). I won't be returning because of the noise.

The gumbo was beyond bland even with tons of salt & pepper & wasn’t ever hot. I thought I’d be safe getting a lettuce wedge salad with some boiled shrimp. The shrimp were beyond bland with no way to get any flavor out of them. I would’ve liked more dressing, but the server never ever came back once. She asked us if we’d like a to go box & she never brought it or ever came back. We asked 3 people who all clearly didn’t want to get a to go box for us. The food was inedible. The service was lousy & not being busy on a Saturday night should’ve given us all the clues we needed. This was our last visit there. Gordon Ramsey either needs to make another visit to this restaurant as they’ve thrown all of his training out the window or they need to close. It’s embarrassing for a LA restaurant to have food so bland as well as the taste of everything being unpleasant.

Great place for fine dining with friends. Casual atmosphere with food Worthy of your most important celebrations. The service is a step back in time when customer enjoyment was a primary goal. The salads are glorious, the steaks are perfect, and the fish is decadent.

Porter and Luke's is consistently dependable for good quality, local food. However, last night I ordered dessert, a slice of doberge cake. When we received the bill, the slice of cake cost $13.00. When I paid the bill, I asked the server if he knew why one slice of cake was priced so high. He told me it's because their purveyor is "Debbie does Doberge," and that the company's cakes are high priced. I'm offended that the restaurant would charge so much for an average dessert, a medium size slice of cake. It feels like price gouging. It will make me think twice about dining at Porter and Luke's again.

The food and service were 2nd to none. All the food was made of fresh ingredients, you can tell. All the servers showed New Orleans hospitality. We had a great experience and will be back. We had the hot crab dip, gumbo, chicken parm and the red velvet do Berge cake. All were phenomenal. I recommend anyone visiting to make a stop there.

Disappointing Easter lunch. While the service was fantastic, the food was underwhelming — prime rib was over cooked and tough despite asking for rare. And redfish was very fishy making it almost inedible. Very sad.

We decided for one of the Easter Specials. Started with appetizer, eggplant, very good. Then we eat chose seafood gumbo, gumbo had not seafood. Waiter offered a bowl to take home, we told him no thanks. Then Caesar salad, very little dressing. We both decided on baked crusted chicken with mashed potatoes. Chicken very juicy, potatoes very good. We then decided to get a piece of carrot cake to take home, they were already out. We had a reservation @ 11:45. Hard to believe they ran out out cake that early. Waiter was very good and attentive to our table. We decided to try another cake to take home. Overall experience was good for a Special Day!

If you are looking for excellent food and service, this is your place. Although extremely popular with locals, they are always able to accommodate large tables. There is ample parking, and in a very safe neighborhood. If you like Italian wine, there is a very good one on the menu.

A friend celebrated her daughter’s Quinceañera there. It was excellent to work with them especially Brandi who cared from the heart to make sure the ceremony and party ran perfectly. The food and service was excelente. Thank you and highly recommend.

We got turtle soup and soup of the day. They were good, but not warm at all. I wish they would devein the shrimp on their po boys. That’s nasty stuff! A few months ago, l even asked the waitress if the shrimp were deveined. She said yes, they are. When l started to eat the po boy, none of the shrimp were deveined. I was disgusted. She should have been honest.

Lunch was delicious I had the eggplant Sophie! Noise level was very loud and the lighting was too bright in dinning area but I sat in the bar area at a high top do to the lighting and noise level the ambience was perfect there in the bar area
