“Extremly friendly staff! I visited this restaurant on 10/9/22 on a late night about 2 am.. I thought this bar sold food, I was extremely hungry, but only had drinks. The two women there were soooo friendly,I ended up ordering two delicious long islands! They recommended 3 other places my fiancé and I can eat at, and we ended up at lamp lighter. I wish I would of got the two friendly waitresses name. Thank y’all! We will be back.“

“Everything was great. Our original two servers were very good. However, one of the food runners was very rude. Even to the other 2 servers. We spoke to the manager just to let them know and they were very nice and insisted on bringing us a free dessert. The reason I share this is not to receive anything for free, just to show how it really is a team effort and one bad team member can make or break you. Thank you Flemings for trying to make this right, I hope the runner was just having a bad day and everything was resolved.“

“All of my senses were OVERWHELMED with pleasure at Criollo's Jazz Brunch! The service and food was superb Michelin level quality. The live jazz band kept me entertained as I was coursed out. The chef elevated the fried green tomatoes and chicken biscuit to an award winning level. The chicken biscuit was smothered in jalapeño's, scallions and the best rue I have ever tasted so I sent my compliments to the chef. Every delectable bite forced my eyes shut so I could deeply enjoy the freshness, flavor and texture. While I was enjoying coffee the chef sent complimentary Rosemary & Lemon Custard Madeline's. It was an innovative way to approach this classic pastry. My only critique is the custard on top was so good I wanted more. Very light, fresh, and balanced melody of flavors. The consistency was reminiscent of a fusion between a scone and puff pastry. You can tell the French invited fries by how well the fries here complimented every dish. It was such a phenomenal experience, I found myself making reservations for the next day halfway through brunch and I am happy to say the food, service and entertainment are consistently great here. The fancy French atmosphere at Hotel Monteleone was fit for a Queen and the bathroom attendant cleaned the stall prior to each guests use. This is a must try spot in The French Quarter.“

“I forgot to take pictures, but there are plenty on here. I ordered the iced carmel latte & a smores stuffed beignet. They put 4 shots of espresso in their latte, I opted for 3 and it was still very strong to me. The staff was very nice and helped me right away. You order at a counter in the back, wait for your drink and then take a table tent for them to bring the beignet. Mine had a picture of Bob Marley. The ambiance is very cool, I would love to just hang out here, it's very relaxed, even on a Saturday & packed. The Beignet was just okay. It was kind of floating in a pool of melted chocolate and some sort of sweet white sauce. It had chunks of graham cracker on top, but they got soggy pretty quickly. It was hard to cut through with a fork too. I didn't really get any marshmallow flavor. I will go back and try some other flavors in the future. The beignet had a pretty good flavor to it, especially the chocolate, but it was messy and difficult to eat.“

THE TELL ME BAR Wine Bar • $$
1235 St Thomas St, New Orleans - 5.98 miles

“Have been here a few times. Despite being really close to the expressway, it's fairly quiet and they've put a lot of work into creating a sleek and posh vibe inside the bar. The wine list is extensive--perhaps one of the best in the city. They offer a decent list of wines by the glass daily. I haven't been there for any of the happy hour deals or food pop-ups yet. Hopefully someday. As someone who grew up around Northern California wine country and has lived in other countries that produce world-class wines (France, Hungary), it's great to see so many types of wine in one place. However, I've found the service average at best--not particularly welcoming--which is odd in New Orleans. There is just a smidge of condescension, which doesn't bother me, but I do sense it. I guess this is why people who like wine sometimes get labeled wine snobs. The bathroom area is really cute, and I heard some pretty good minimalist type electronic music being spun by a DJ one night. It would also be great if they featured some Hungarian wine, which is very well-known in Europe (in fact, there is a natural wine phenomenon going on there currently) but very slept on outside of it.“

It is a beautiful indoor setting, with plenty of tables for guests to mingle outside. At first, we were a bit worried that the space might be too small, but we had a six-piece band, and ice cream sundae bar, and still more than plenty of room to dance, for guests to hang out at their tables, and to walk around and mingle. We found out the day of the wedding that one of our guests was vegan. When we asked the chef if there were any vegan options on the buffet that we had planned, he went out of his way to make her an entire beautiful, custom vegan dinner. We thought this was absolutely above and beyond and we are so thankful to the chef! Brittani was wonderful to work with throughout the planning process, and Patsy was incredible on the day of. “The food was very thoughtful with great flavors. Portion sizes were perfect. Service was good even though it was brought to our attention they were understaffed and not expecting a "big rush" in the last hour of service. Overall, it was a great experience, and would go back for sure.“

“Friendly and attentive staff starting with the security officer that helped us park and helped me push wheelchair through kitchen to the dining room. Excellent Rye Manhattan and bread and butter. Excellent portion of BBQ shrimp and veal parm but the Bread Pudding was beyond belief!! Plenty of it to share but you won't want to!Wheelchair accessibility: Accessible entrance is back door and kinda steep dip for power chair. Go through kitchen to front desk. No designated handicap parking in lot or street but security officer can help.“

“We strolled in here after a Mardi Gras parade, and were able to order from their full menu at around 10 PM. We were a little worried, because there weren’t many staff members, but the food came out quickly, and was totally delicious! Exceeded expectations!“

“This is a late night place, but we went after Jazzfest for a relaxed meal. We arrived early with 10 people and they were gracious (the place does not fill up early). The chef came out to deliver our tasting boards and was so excited to share the beautiful creation. We also had sandwiches and salads and great drinks. Service was nice and the food was a perfect light dinner after the fest.“
