Visited Afrodisiac Nola yesterday and the staff was warm and welcoming. The restaurant has a great energy, with nice art and music. Now… Let me tell you this food was satisfying to my palate and my soul. We started with the “Happy Hour” jerk chicken nachos. We were so hungry we forgot to take a picture but just know… the tortilla chips were topped with perfectly seasoned jerk chicken, REAL cheddar & monterrey jack cheese, black beans, corn, and a mango/avocado/tomato salsa that was absolutely delicious. Now, if you know me… fruit in my salsa is NOT my thing but THIS… a winner! Channing had the ox-tails. It was my first time tasting them and they were amazing. The meat was so tender and flavorful and the gravy was just right. I had the curry shrimp stew. It was divine! The curry was subtle, not overpowering, and with the rice and peas… perfection! I cannot wait to go back and am so glad that we tried it! For sides, we had collard greens, pan-roasted Brussels sprouts, and garlic mashed potatoes. They were fresh, well-seasoned, and delicious! And, don’t forget the hibiscus lemonade. Yum!

My family and I went to eat here for Good Friday. We had the seafood platter and Jerk Chicken Nachos! Omg I highly recommend it to anyone considering these items. I also had the soursop and ginger lemonade. It was the best. Please go and pay them a visit. The staff were very warm and made sure we enjoy our stay!
