We made a return after an OK recent visit and it was just fantastic. The decor and general vibe have always been top-natch; the art on the walls, the front bar, the step-up to the other room, all of it adds up to one of my favorite spaces in New Orleans. I really wanted to love everything about Atchafalaya and it was the service that got us started off on the wrong foot. We were seated promptly at our reservation time and we sat and waited and waited and waited hoping that a server would come by and greet us while she busily went to every single table around us - not a word, nothing. We had a fabulous lunch at Atchafalaya. Each dish was artfully created and every mouthful was a melody of flavours. Drinks were very well chosen, service was great, and the ambience was very nice. I can't rate it highly enough!
