“I really wanted to hate this place. Another hipster gentrifying the neighborhood with their pseudo-ethnic cuisine. This rich boy, Banksy buying, carpet bagger…. I so very much wanted to hate it. But I couldn’t. It was just too good. The food was delicious. The prices were just right. The authentic tile work and gas station bathroom were absolutely delightful. The servers were raw and righteous. The way the owner spoke…. The little frogs…. The whole vibe just felt right. I couldn’t hate it. I loved it.“

“We sat at the bar and Odessa was our bartender . She was amazing! Super kind and answered all our menu questions. The only downside was a server (I think his name was Quinton or Quincy?) was extremely rude to us and to Odessa and other servers. It was honestly super uncomfortable and we felt bad for the other staff. But, food was super tasty and drinks awesome!!“

“This is my favorite restaurant. Staff is kind. I order to go from here all the time. It's always ready when the staff says it will be. I think they have the best burritos and pupusas in town, certainly on the West Bank. The fajitas are incredible and fairly portioned for the price. My daughter loves their quesadillas. Took my brothers here when they came into town too, they loved it as well.“

“This is truly one of the best restaurants I have ever had the pleasure of visiting. At this moment, I can’t think of another! I was able to try some truly unique cocktails- the Cajulia made with “cashew fruit” juice, and the Batucada made with Batida of Cachaça, passion fruit and coconut milk. I enjoyed every bite of my meal — vegan ceviche, fish collars with Nikkei aioli, and banquette bread topped with Trinidadian curry (today’s special). The atmosphere and bartender really completed the experience. This was my second day in NOLA, but the first time I felt truly welcome and “at home” on the trip.Dietary restrictions: Very accommodating to dairy-free and vegan or vegetarian diet“
