“What an awesome gem that we found on the way to the Jazz Fest. Located in Mid-City, the building and the restaurant has been around for a long time. We arrived at 10:30am and had a yummy roast beef & gravy po boy on the best bread I have ever had on a sandwich!! The venue is set up for community and it was clear that all are welcome. Even in the morning, the staff was friendly and inviting and the locals and tourists were coming by for great food, drinks, and a good time.“

“The live music was a huge bonus. We got the filet which were cooked perfectly and full of flavor, the fried lobster tail was to die for, and the key lime pie was simply amazing! The entire experience from the service to the food was incredible! Highly recommend!!!“

“We had the most amazing dining experience we've had in awhile. Our server was attentive without hovering. We ordered the gulf fish (Drum) for my son and we did the Chef's choice. “This was a complete surreal experience. It took me nearly 5 days to sort out how to write this review. We dressed smart and to impress with unique style in a linen suit and gothic dress. From the very start I had an original and unique experience. Without selecting the table originally we were sat ring side at a table facing a full wall of glass overlooking the kitchen. Oddly only two were available and a solo diner sat at the other. I am still curious how we were luck to watch the chefs work. We then were invited back for a tour of the kitchen and a presentation of fresh selections of what would be prepared. I saw no one else get the same tour. Why we were the only ones to get that I dont know. We both chose different tasting menus. The classic and contemporary or local. Being given several more tastings ahead of the substantial dinner. Everything was beyond comparison and though the wine pairs were unique and may not be preffered on their own alone they were expertly and deliciously paired for each course. What took me 5 days to write this was to sort out what happened. Dish #5 was a pan seared rainbow trout with almonds. Tbe second I took a bite I was consumed with emotions of nostalgia. The last time I ever had anything like it was on tbe Brule River of wisconsin as a child being taught flyfishing and enjoying what we caught that day on the hidden cedar built lunchgrounds. I have never cried while eating a dish of any sort but I did over this one. I complimented tbe chef seen on the other side of the glass and he showed gratitude in return. They served us many plates before and after what was on the selected menu and the entire staff was attentive to every need and wish. I was complimented that I stood as a gentleman every time may date left or returned to the table. I was i.pressed they also took care of subtle drops or spills on the table cloth. Defitely opt for the cheese course at the end. It was a wonderful quiet evening where I could enjoy my company where as the next evening at another fancy retaurant we were seated agsinst an obnoxious loud table where I couldnt hear my friend sitting at my shoulder. I will certainly choose Emerils over any other restaurant in NO in the future.Dietary restrictions: Accomodated cilantro allergy.“

“Great wee pub situated at the final corner of the Charles Street streetcar route. Doesn't look like much from outside but inside is great old fashioned bar. Food was excellent and freshly cooked. I had several Blue Moon beers but there was a lot more on offer.“

“Carol and I were excited to be visiting The Big Easy for the first time in our lives, since a business trip presented the ideal opportunity. Many friends and family listed the restaurants that we should visit. We started down the list, but one night we didn't want to walk far from the convention center. Google showed a highly rated restaurant close by, and after looking at the menu, we decided to visit Annunciation. Upon being seated, an observation of my surroundings revealed that Annunciation pays attention to detail. Our waiter, Sam, was the consummate steward, we always felt well-attended to. Now, ordinarily, complimentary bread would not be mentioned in a review... were it not for a few nights earlier, at THE celebrity restaurant in town, no bread was offered. So let me say that the bread and butter at Annunciation is premium and fresh, and if you eat it all, more is offered! I had the Roasted Duck, while Carol got the Chef's Choice Ravioli. We both enjoyed every bite! We spent 6 nights in the city. Annunciation is the only restaurant I'm taking the time to write a review for. That is how good they are.“

“The Chamber of Horrors is my absolute favorite sandwich ever! It's just a cold sandwich stacked with sliced meats and cheese and lettuce, tomato, etc. but it strikes a chord with me. Every time I go I tell myself to try something different but most times I wind up getting one. And a side of fries. I have tried other things and have never found anything to complain about. Koz's is a great example of the neighborhood restaurants that are scattered throughout New Orleans and the area. Place has been there forever. The family is running the business. He has passed away, but Koz himself was running the cash register every time I went there. Same crowd of regulars and locals is in there every day. A wide variety of menu items, daily specials, plate lunches, po-boys, fried seafood, and all that. Not all of it is good, but for the most part it is. Downsides - the place is old so it is a little dark and dingy. It gets crowded at times and then the service gets slow. The parking is scarce around but you can usually find a spot. Give them a shot. This is one place that I keep going back to. (If I want a Chamber of Horrors I do!)“

“Came thru one nite after my husband and I attended a wedding. I wish I had pic but I didn't order anything for me really. Just ate off my husband's roast beef po-boy that was nice size and good, my daughter had the cheese sticks they sell. Lordy!!! Definitely have to get some with any order. Lightly battered and so cheesy with authentic mozzarella! Open late for whatever your need may have been. We door dashed it to our hotel and their food was hot and fresh untampered with and still good for them to eat.“

“Yakamein house never disappoints .I’ve had them before but I’ve never been inside . I walked through the door I was greeted by Mr Terrence and the lovely cashier. My order came within 5 minutes of me placing, I got the shrimp and beef yakamein and,I also tried the yakamein poboy which was super flavorful . Overall experience is a10/10 !“

“The Farmer’s Salad at Misa is one of my favorite restaurant salads in the city. It has actual vegetables (not just a bowl of lettuce) and it’s topped with a nice, herby vinaigrette. I also love their Sweet Potato Ravioli and spacious outdoor seating.“

“I visited the location on Ponchatrain in Nola last night _ I will NEVER dine in late at night - The host was outside playing with the managers dog in the parking lot - She walked in the side door and greeted me picked up the menu and NEVER sanitized or washed her hands. The server complained about it being slow- My food came out cold- The manager on duty last didn't care- They put my side dishes in the microwave They served me the same cold chicken I sent back and just put it on the grill for a few minutes. Horrible customer service experience and the quality of the food was worse.“

“Might not be for everyone, but the Three Legged Dog is a great bar if you like dives, and is probably my favorite bar in New Orleans. They're open 24/7 and serve food. The food is good bar food, and the drinks are cheap. The bartenders are definitely characters, but they're friendly and the service is good. If you're looking for somewhere fancy, this is definitely not your spot. But if you want a few cheap drinks and to strike up an interesting conversation with a stranger, you can't do much better.“

“The second you walk into this restaurant, you can feel the history in this restaurant. From the use of an old cashier register to pictures showing the restaurant back in 1919. You can feel that this is a well loved local restaurant. What caught our eye with this restaurant was their Chargrilled Oysters. I've never had oysters this was so I had to try them! One of my friends never had oysters and she really liked them. I told her this is probably a good starter oyster for those who don't eat seafood too often. The oysters were filled with garlic and butter, can't go wrong with this combo. To get the most of all the seafood, we ordered the seafood platter which comes with fried oysters, shrimp, crab claws, and a choice of the trout or catfish. We chose the trout and had an order of the catfish as well. This was a ton of food for three people and I feel as though it is a shame to waste seafood. Our favorites were the shrimp and catfish out of the seafood. The fried seafood wasn't too salty which helped as we were eating a bunch of fried food. We didn't like the crab claws as much and could skip that next time. We really enjoyed Casamento's as it's a cute little casual restaurant and reasonably priced! It's cute how there's someone shucking oysters at the front while you wait. If you want some seafood, this is a place you gotta try!“
